Tokyo’s Thrash Heroes SURVIVE – active in the world for over 20 years – have forged their own indelible path within the jmetal scene. It was back in 1998, when former Death File guitarist and mastermind Nemo decided to form a thrash metal band of his own which soon became the juggernaut known as SURVIVE. Over the next two decades the band have played many big festivals (Loud Park, Beast Fest, Multiplex-motorbike event, Korean Live Rock, Formoz Festival, Asia Metal Festival, Dongducheon Rock Festival, Trendkill Extreme Feast, etc) and toured all over the world with acts such as Behemoth, United, Killswitch Engage, Dope, Pulling Teeth, Testament, Outrage, Anthrax, Hatebleed, Napalm Death, Amon Amarth, Venom Inc, At The Gates, to name just a few, cementing their place in Japanese metal history. Still going strong, SURVIVE‘s latest album “Immortal Warriors” was released to the Japanese market on September 12th, 2018 and a year later, on September 24th 2019, the album is out worldwide via Sliptrick Records. SURVIVE have lost none of their verve and “Immortal Warriors” is an absolute must for fans of this fantastic, often overlooked band.

YES Launch Video For First Track ‘The Ice Bridge’ From Forthcoming New Album

YES, who are Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison and Billy Sherwood, recently announced they will release their new studio album The Quest on InsideOutMusic/Sony Music on 1st October 2021. The album was produced by Steve Howe. “Much of the music was written in late 2019 with the rest in 2020. We commissioned several orchestrations to augment and enhance the overall sound of these fresh new recordings, hoping that our emphasis on melody, coupled with some expansive instrumental solo breaks, keeps up the momentum for our listeners,” said Steve.

The Quest was recorded across the globe. The sessions took place in the UK with Steve Howe, Geoff Downes & Jon Davison, while Alan White & Billy Sherwood got together in the studio in the US. “Billy Sherwood and myself did all the rhythm sections, bass and drum, in America,” says Alan White, “down in Los Angeles at Uncle Studios, where he works a lot. It helps when you’ve got a good place to work,” Alan laughs, “and Billy’s really good on the recording desk, so we got things down relatively quickly.  I spent quite a while studying the music before I went down to LA so I was prepared.”

JETHRO TULL Sign with InsideOutMusic /Sony Music, New Album Coming in Early 2022

InsideOutMusic/Sony Music are extremely pleased to announce the signing of progressive rock legends JETHRO TULL to the label.  The band has already completed a new album titled ‘The Zealot Gene’, which can be expected in early 2022.

Death doom masters HOODED MENACE will be releasing their new full-length album, ‘The Tritonus Bell,’ on August 27 via Season of Mist! The band is now sharing the official music video for the third and final single, “Those Who Absorb the Night” via Inferno Magazine (Finland). The video is also available via the Season of Mist YouTube at THIS LOCATION.

Guitarist Lasse Pyykkö comments on the new track: “We´re excited to unleash the video for “Those Who Absorb The Night” off the new album “The Tritonus Bell”! The rather catchy track has different moods and vibes to it, going from gloomy melancholy to bursts of aggressiveness and back, and I think the atmospheric and spider-webbed visuals support the music quite perfectly.“

Recently Italian power metallers FROM THE DEPTH announced the release of three new singles: “Catch The Fox” (Den Harrow), “What is Love” (Haddaway) featuring Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth) and “Sweet Dreams” (Eurythmics) which features Giorgia Colleluori (IT’sALIE, Rock Meets Classic).

Today FROM THE DEPTH unveil the first single “Catch The Fox”, which features their former keyboards player Davide Castro.
