JINJER Reach Aggressive New Levels with Second Single + Music Video “Mediator”

The announcement of the brand new JINJER record, Wallflowers, out August 27 via Napalm Records, has not only caused immediate ripples around the world and delighted international reviewers and fans alike, but the band’s first single, “Vortex”, has already gained 2.5 million cross-platform streams/views in no time.

Continuing their unstoppable way to the top, the band has just released their head-splitting second single “Mediator” and a brand-new crushing music video. The second track cut from the new album demonstrates once again that their unique sonic vision combined with visual attitude is more than peerless. Frenetic drumming combined with technically adept, fast firing bass and guitar attacks, merging with the unmatched mix of Tatiana Shmayluk’s clear vocals, pungent rap-like passages and ferocious growling. The track’s high-quality audiovisual bombardment draws the viewer into the spell of the progressive spectacle and constructs the visual antithesis of the postmodern utopia thematized within the track.

JINJER on the tone of the new single:
“With years getting older, we often realize that the world around us is far from what we expected it to be. Through the eyes of a kid everything seemed way more colorful, better and optimistic, didn’t it? When did it all turn wrong? When did it all turn so gray? Is this really the world’s fault? Or it is only about us chasing the wrong goals… the wrong careers, ambitions and achievements, rather than embracing one important truth… Rephrasing John Lennon, if one chases something else other than happiness, then they didn’t understand life at all …”

Watch/Listen to “Mediator” HERE:

Already regarded as one of the most anticipated metal albums of the year, with Wallflowers, JINJER once again prove their exceptional knack for mixing groove, prog, alternative and experimental influences to create a sound unlike anything that has ever come before it.

Eugene Abdukhanov on the new album:
“Growing creatively has always been a major goal for us. The day JINJER stops reaching for new musical horizons will be our last day as a band. We could have churned out what our peers expected us to do, or produce ‘Pisces’ clones without end, but we’ve never done that and we never will. Instead, we wrote an album whose level of emotions range from the fiercest aggression we’ve ever had, to the most intricate melodies and melancholic vibes you could ever get from our music. We decided to rip apart all possible stylistic boundaries without regard to financial success or competing with our previous albums. Wallflowers is a different kind of album musically and visually. It’s about our identity as a band, as individuals and a clear statement that we are different from most artists… and that it is OK to do your own thing.”

Pre-Order Your Copy of Wallflowers NOW

Wallflowers not only presents a methodical and premeditated next step in the band’s already imposing career, but moreover, it mirrors the personal adversities they’ve faced due to the worldwide events of the last year. Wallflowers is not only an upgrade to the progressive groove metal sound that all JINJER fans crave, but also a sonic pressure cooker of technical musicianship, emotional fury and an intense soundtrack befitting the harrowing state of the world today. Hailing from the conflict-ridden Ukrainian region of Donetsk but now calling Kiev their home base, JINJER truly do not mince words – or riffs – on Wallflowers. Their exceptional precision of modern metal paired with tough as nails attitude has earned them a fiercely loyal, rabid fanbase and massive critical acclaim, making JINJER one of the most talked about bands today and garnering them many sold out performances across the globe. With nearly all of JINJER’s releases composed between vans, backstage rooms and constant touring, Wallflowers continues where its predecessor Macro left off, only this time with less distraction and more time to focus on songwriting.

More about latest album: ‘Invicta‘ is the most focussed and forthright release of the band’s career. Built around the spectacular vocals of Skarlett and a powerful musical landscape unique to the band, ‘Invicta‘ is a melodic, intense, and packed with anthems. Skarlett has broadened her vocals this time out, adding some harsh elements to proceedings, giving the songs and the band and aggressive edge. The album was released May 7th 2021.

BUDDERSIDE bridge the gap between the sexy swagger of the Sunset Strip and the soulful depths of Seattle on their recent sophomore release SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE via Motörhead Music/Silver Lining Music. Recorded with legendary producer Jay Baumgardner (Bush, Godsmack, Papa Roach) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage), the album shares heartbreak, perseverance, meditation, and resurrection from the throes of addiction across its 10 spiritually evocative and meticulously crafted songs and features guest appearances from Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell and Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey.

The quintet have today (July 23) shared an evocative animated lyric video for the deeply personal track, “Things We Do,” which features MUSYCA Children’s Choir and covers the trials and tribulations of dealing with addiction.

“‘Things We Do’ is a firsthand walk through addiction, the loss of a dear friend and the hypocritical, empty promise of getting high.” Vocalist/guitarist PATRICK STONE shares

BUDDERSIDE—who were personally signed by late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister–have built a reputation on the road, touring with staple metal acts including Slayer, Anthrax, L.A. Guns and Motörhead, as well as appearing at major worldwide music festivals including Wacken Open Air (Germany), Malmö Festival (Sweden), Motörhead’s Motörboat and Monsters Of Rock cruise. They will continue to bring their riveting performance to the stages as they have been announced as part of the lineup for Rocklahoma (Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit) taking place from September 3-5. Prior to that, BUDDERSIDE will play their first show since the pandemic in their hometown of Los Angeles as they headline The North End Hollywood on Sunday, August 8.

“Budderside are one of the most exciting bands out of LA in a really long time,” “For my money–what rock music should be. They have the goods–a frontman with real swagger and incredible players who deliver their songs with passion, power and conviction.” declares former MTV VJ and music personality Matt Pinfield.

BUDDERSIDE have previously released four cinematic music video singles from SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE—including “Zen” (filmed in Tokyo, Japan) and “Pardon Me (feat. Phill Campbell),” which have been featured as finalists and official selections at various independent film festivals (Los Angeles Film Awards, Virgin Spring Cinefest, Fantasy/Sci-Fi Film & Screenplay Festival and Lift Off Global Network Berlin). ALCATRAZZ To Release “V” Album On October 15th, New Single/Video “Sword Of Deliverance” Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 28, 2021

ALCATRAZZ, the mighty Los Angeles-born guitar-driven heavy metal icons, announce the release of their fifth studio album, aptly titled V, which is set for release via Silver Lining Music on October 15th, 2021.

Their new single/video, “Sword of Deliverance”, is now available, and as far as lead statements go, it’s one hell of a reminder that when Alcatrazz is firing on all cylinders with all its guns blazing, it is a vital part of any metalhead’s day. And there is little doubt that Alcatrazz 2021 – Doogie White on vocals, founding members Jimmy Waldo and Gary Shea on keyboards and bass respectively, Mark Benquechea on drums and Joe Stump on guitar – are the chemistry that is causing the musical fire.

“Sword of Deliverance” is a mighty, metal monument!” affirms White. “A call to arms for the Alcatrazz collective. Loud, proud and ready!”, affirms White

Formed in 1983, Alcatrazz became famous for its blend of melodic and progressive rock and for introducing guitar heroes Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. Emerging in 1983 with No Parole from Rock ‘n’ Roll, which featured the hit “Island in the Sun,” the band continued building popularity in 1985 with their sophomore effort, Disturbing the Peace, which contained the hit, “God Blessed Video.” The band issued one more studio LP, 1986’s Dangerous Games, before ceasing operations the following year. The band regrouped and released highly acclaimed Born Innocent in 2020, their first studio album containing all-new material since 1986.

While Born Innocent was a smart and strong return to the studio, there is a synergy and crackle about V which shows a band both in lockstep with each other and back in love with the writing process.

“We all are very happy with the new album, we all were on the same page about the direction, and what we were trying to accomplish. We had over 20 songs to pick from, it was tough, we liked them all, that’s very unusual for a band. I think this album sounds like the natural progression from No Parole, only heavier.”, exclaims Waldo

Both vintage and timeless, V treads the Alcatrazz textured-territories of old but with renewed vigor and verve. Whether it be the choral-echoes sitting inside the storming tempest which is “Nightwatch,” the staunch, speedy melodic metal of “Turn Of The Wheel” or the thick, bluesy chug of “House Of Lies,” there is little doubt that this Alcatrazz is going full-tilt with not one ounce of a shackle holding them back. In that regard, White’s supreme vocal work on all 12 tracks serves as the catalyst for their creative synergy, and not only that, his supremely positive energy brings the band closer than it has been since, well, 1986!

“The addition of Doogie is a natural transition for the Alcatrazz Legacy, he is a hard-working professional who loves to sing and doesn’t shy away from deadlines. His long list of career achievements is the perfect fit for us as we have been leading parallel lives all these years creating music. I am looking forward to bringing this new powerful line-up on the road.”, states Shea

Over the course of three-plus decade career, the Scottish-born White is undoubtably one of the finest vocalists in hard rock, having fronted Richie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force, Tank and Michael Schenker. It is therefore no surprise at all to hear him dovetail so easily with Alcatrazz, indeed, it feels like the most natural of career progressions.

There is little doubt that besides the work of White, much is going to be quite rightly said about the scintillating performance of Joe Stump throughout V, and it feels as though he has truly found his place alongside previous Alcatrazz guitar gods Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. Every riff is supremely sharp, and every solo carries with it platinum sovereignty, whether engaging in the shred or delivering a more nuanced lead break.

“I really enjoy playing with Joe, he’s not only a great player but a great writer as well, He’s really fun to tour and work with. He plays with tons of energy live, kind of the take no prisoners’ vibe.”, enthuses Waldo

Produced by Giles Lavery and Jimmy Waldo, and mixed by Andy Haller (Elton John, Joe Cocker and System of a Down), V also includes guest appearances from Saxon’s Nigel Glockler (drums on “Guardian Angel” and “Blackheart”), Tank’s Cliff Evans (bass on “Grace of God”) and Donnie Van Stavern of Riot (bass on “Guardian Angel”, “Nightwatch” and “Target”), underscoring how perennially popular Alcatrazz’s music remains with their peers.

And just in case you’re wondering what V stands for? Alcatrazz’s fifth studio album of course… but it also stands just as resolutely for Victory; the victory that sees Alcatrazz 2021 stronger than ever despite all the odds.

Acclaimed rock vocalist JEFF SCOTT SOTO has announced the release of his next solo project, “The Duets Collection, Vol. 1” on October 8, 2021. For this album, Soto wanted to do a career retrospective and re-record some of his favorite songs from his storied career, but with the twist that he invited friends to join him on duets of said songs. Today, fans can get their first taste of the album with the release of ‘Mysterious’ (originally performed by Soto with Talisman) where he is joined by Eric Martin (Mr. Big).

Pre-order/save “The Duets Collection, Vol. 1” on CD/Color Vinyl/Digital HERE: https://orcd.co/jssduets

Using the down time from his normally relentless touring activity due to the worldwide pandemic, renowned vocalist Jeff Scott Soto decided to create a very special album which pays tribute to some of the classic songs he has recorded over the course of his storied career. But, rather than simple re-records, he wanted to make the album something special, unique. So, not only did he re-record these songs with his musical friends Jorge Salan, Howie Simon (guitars), Leo Mancini (guitars), Tony Dickinson (bass) and Edu Cominato (drums), but he called in some of his fellow rock friends/vocalists to create a unique DUETS album. With the likes of Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse, W.E.T.), Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Johnny Gioeli (Hardline), Deen Castronovo (Revolution Saints, Journey), Nathan James (Inglorious), Russell Allen (Symphony X), Renan Zonta (Electric Mob), Dino Jelusick, Mats Leven (Candlemass, TSO), BJ (Spektra, SOTO), and Aliro Netto (Shaman, Queen Extravaganza), this is an amazing international affair.

The track listing alone will surely make any JSS fan excited, much less hearing the final product. Where can you get such an amazing list of singers and songs all in the same place?

Jeff says, “It was a DREAM to cast these voices and I am so amped for you to hear the results…”

Jeff Scott Soto is a man that needs virtually no introduction to any discerning melodic rock fan. Jeff launched his career at the young age of 18 years old in tremendous fashion as the lead vocalist for Yngwie Malmsteen’s debut album, “Rising Force” and the sophomore album, “Marching Out”. That first step into the spotlight has led to a career that has seen Jeff play and work with an outstanding number of artists and genres from the AOR of Eyes and Takara, to the hard rock and metal of Talisman, Axel Rudi Pell, Soul SirkUS, and of course, his time with the legendary Journey. Jeff has also maintained a solo career over the past decades, while also recently joining up with the progressive metal supergroup Sons of Apollo.

Tracklist:
