On Friday, November 14th, Yellow Snow finally unveiled their much-talked about album, ‘Volume 1’ which features fun and must-hear renditions of holiday classics and original compositions. And along with the album’s release will come their next single/video, for the track “Man in Red.”
“‘Man in Red’ was the first original Christmas song we wrote,” explains Yellow Snow’s creator, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist Mike DiBiase. “When it was finished , I said to myself, ‘Now this is exactly the sound I’ve always wanted to create for this project.’ I also think that since it was an original song, I could approach it from a completely new direction, and I had nothing to stick to in terms of melodies, arrangement, or sonic palette. It was a clean slate to go as outside of the lines as I wanted to.”
“Which also got me thinking, ‘Why not approach all the songs this way?’ I realized I could use the original composition as a template or a work tape, and then complete it however works best for the song. Sonically, everything came together once we merged these big, in your face guitars with the attitude and grit of the horns, courtesy of Curt Ramm and Bill Holloman. This is the sound of Yellow Snow.”
The “Man in Red” music video can be viewed below, while the ‘Volume 1’ album can ordered via https://found.ee/yellowsnow.
For years, Rhode Island-born DiBiase — a lifelong musician and EMMY ® Award-nominated audio post production talent by trade — had “gifted” family and friends hard rock Christmas songs. He decided to bring them to the stage at a Rhode Island club in 2007 for the live debut of Yellow Snow, packing the house and donating a portion of the proceeds to various charities.
He annually headlined shows throughout the ensuing years stirring up a level of cult fandom among the initiated. The music also quietly took on a life of its own as DiBiase’s original song “Giddy Yup, Santa Claus” landed a high-profile sync on The CW’s Riverdale.
Armed with the framework constructed by DiBiase and his bandmates (Matt Baird, Al Diaz, Franklin La Barbara, Denise Gouvin, Jason Berndt, and Chris Piccirillo), he decamped to Nashville in order to finish recording what would become Yellow Snow’s full-length debut LP, ‘Volume 1’ during 2023.
Alternative rock band Violet Breed released their fourth single, “Stay Away.” The track features an electrifying collaboration with Brian Wheat, founder and bassist of the multi-platinum selling rock band Tesla, and rising singer-songwriter AleX.
“Stay Away” hits with raw emotion and heavy alt-rock energy. Fueled by 90s grunge grit and modern alternative edge, it tells the story of loving someone determined to push you away to protect you. Gritty guitars, explosive drums, and a hook that sticks. Think Nirvana meets My Chemical Romance with the rawness of Yungblud and Wunderhorse. Powerful, melodic, and made for intense and emotive rock and alt playlists.
AleX shares, “With our latest song ‘Stay Away’ I think we’ve really captured a new darkness in our writing and overall sound. Brian has really pushed the boundaries with the production on this new track. It’s sonically heavier and grittier than anything we’ve released. It sounds huge! It’s probably the most relatable and personal song we’ve released too. It’s a song about how you would do anything possible to save someone from self destruction. It could be a partnership, family member or even a friend. There’s a fear of losing someone forever. But ultimately in then end, whoever this person may be, they choose to remain isolated from you emotionally and self destruct, because they can’t bare to see you fall alongside them as well. So they quite simply stay away…”
Brian Wheat adds, “The song is a perfect melding of classic and modern sound.”
The release follows the band’s strong momentum, building on the success of their first three singles:
“Awake” reached #14 on the SMR Charts and #28 on Mediabase Activator
“10 Years Sober” charted at #24 on SMR and #36 on Mediabase Activator
“Endless Days” reached #18 on the SMR Charts and #37 on Mediabase Activator
The first 3 music videos have surpassed 650k views
Violet Breed continues to prove they’re a force in modern rock—unapologetically bold, refreshingly real, and unafraid to push boundaries.
Violet Breed represents a powerful collaboration between Wheat, a seasoned rock icon, and AleX, a fresh and dynamic voice in the music industry. The pair have spent the last five years meticulously crafting an album that draws from their own life experiences, creating music that resonates with listeners of all ages. With honest and emotive lyrics, Violet Breed’s sound blends rich rock and pop influences, promising a unique and compelling listening experience.
The debut album showcases the musical prowess of the duo. Fans of both Tesla and AleX will be eager to hear the new material, as Violet Breed looks to make a significant impact on the global music scene.
Brian and AleX are able to tap into experiences from these diverse generations, which add to the depth of the music they produce. Their passion and inspiration for music is born from a shared love for records by The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Queen, and My Chemical Romance. Influences from these bands is subtly interwoven into their music.
Helsinki-based 6-piece hybrid metal band Keoma est. 2008 continues to push musical and emotional boundaries with their latest single, “Disease”. The track leans heavily into hard rock, while boldly embracing metal’s intensity – just as its lyrics confront difficult truths head-on. The song is also part of Keoma’s upcoming three-song “Mind Coaster” EP, which will be released 12.12.2025.
“”Disease” is about living with bipolar disorder – the chaotic cycles, the uncertainty, and the fleeting moments of hope. We wanted to create a song that doesn’t romanticize the illness, but also doesn’t shy away from its reality,” says vocalist Jasse Jatala.
Musically, “Disease” is heavy yet melodic – a rollercoaster that mirrors the theme of the song. It’s honest, raw, and still hopeful – much like life with mental health challenges often is.
SOULBOUND release the new single ‘Cutting Diamonds’ . The song is taken from the forthcoming studio album which will be released on 16 January 2026 by Metalville.
With “Cutting Diamonds”, SOULBOUND strike a softer note and yet remain true to themselves. The melancholy rock ballad tells of closeness, loss and the moment when you only have one thing left to say: “Hold on.” Between frosty imagery and atmospheric depth, a song about breaking up and the hope that lies within it unfolds. A courageous facet of an album that knows no rules.
With “sYn” SOULBOUND present their most uncompromising work to date. The melodic industrial metal band’s fourth studio album strikes a dark, direct tone and remains as catchy as it is uncomfortable. Between brutal self-reckoning, social criticism and sacred exaltation, “sYn” spins a dense thematic thread around the central motif of sin – rethought, interpreted in many different ways and bitterly personal.
Musically, the band remains true to itself: “sYn” combines hard riffs, brute synths, pounding beats and anthemic choruses. Somewhere between NDH, metalcore and electronically distorted world pain. But instead of bold provocation, it’s about attitude. It’s about admitting to being fallible. About contradicting dogmas and wrestling with one’s own precipice.
“If we’re considered sinners, might as well be it with purpose and flair!”, says the band. This is exactly how sYn sounds: raw, honest, angry, but also vulnerable. An album like a mirror that doesn’t embellish, but confronts. No pure accusations, but an outcry. Not enlightenment, but flames in which you stand.
“sYn” was recorded and produced entirely by the band themselves.
