Hard rocking quintet TYKETTO to release their 6th studio album “Closer To The Sun” with new label in March 2026. Hard Rock craftsmen TYKETTO – Danny Vaughn (vox), Harry Scott Elliott (guitar), Ged Rylands (keys), Chris Childs (bass) and Johnny Dee (drums) – are proud to announce that their 6th studio album, Closer To The Sun, will be released by British rock specialist label Silver Lining Music, who are home to the likes of Europe, Uriah Heep, Saxon, Michael Monroe, Soen and Diamond Head to name a few.
With vocalist and founding member Danny Vaughn at the helm, TYKETTO continue to create and craft the type of powerful, anthemic songs which saw the band burst through the hard rock landscape in 1987 and release their debut album, Don’t Come Easy, through Geffen Records in 1989. Since that landmark debut, TYKETTO have released a further four studio albums and toured internationally to a loyal and dedicated fan base.
“I was pleasantly shocked when Danny and the band put pen to paper,” says Silver Lining owner Thomas Jensen. “We’re talking about a really wonderful band in terms of sheer songwriting quality and live delivery, and if I’m honest, one which probably didn’t get the credit it deserves. We’re all glad to be part of a team determined to shift that needle!”
“Many years of hard work ground to a complete halt when Covid first hit us all,” says TYKETTO founding member
Danny Vaughn, “and it was really touch and go as to whether or not TYKETTO would continue. Since our return in 2023, the band has been on a steady upward trajectory, with more fans coming out to see and support us than ever before. This fantastic upward rise has now culminated in our signing a brand-new record deal with Silver Lining Music, who have already shown, not only love and support for us, but also a real understanding for our personal relationship with our fans. The end result of all of this is an album that
TYKETTO fans are going to absolutely fall in love with. For TYKETTO, these are the best of times!”
2026 promises to see TYKETTO – and Closer To The Sun – be a major part of the hard rock landscape.
PHANTOMS OF FUTURE return in full prowl with “Forever Dark”, a new album which reintroduces the cult German outfit at their most vivid and volatile. The campaign ignites with the lead single “Werewolf,” a shapeshifting surge of guitars, obsidian synths and low-light drama that captures the record’s central obsessions: instinct over reason, desire as danger, and the thrill of becoming someone—or something—else when the night drops.
“‘Werewolf’ is the spark that lights the fire,” says frontman Sir Hannes Smith. “It’s about surrendering to transformation and finding out who you are when the rules fall away. ‘Forever Dark’ is us without apology — wide awake, electric, alive.” His vocal snarl—half incantation, half invitation—rides a nocturnal pulse that feels both new and unmistakably PHANTOMS OF FUTURE, a bridge between their storied past and the sharpened present tense of the band.
Tracked and mixed at Soundlodge Studio in Rhauderfehn with producer/engineer Jörg Uken, and co-produced by Smith, the album tempers menace with melody and grit with cinematic sweep. Across thirteen songs, PHANTOMS OF FUTURE fold cold-glow electronics into taut rock architecture, letting texture do as much storytelling as the lyrics. The visual world, designed by Gee with layout by LividDeath, mirrors that mood: stark, luminous, and built for after-hours. The studio lineup—Sir Hannes Smith on vocals, special instruments and lyrics; Olaf Oebels on keys, loops and samples; Peter “Pepe” Stein on bass; Viva on drums; and Anselm Tripptrap on guitars—records like a unit that has learned to leave air where the song needs to breathe, then hit with precision when the impact matters. An additional recording and mix for “I Don’t Believe You,” handled by Dieter Steffen and Olaf Oebels at Luna Tonstudio in Lüdinghausen, extends the album’s palette without breaking its atmosphere.
If the title suggests darkness as destination, the music argues for darkness as a lens. “Forever Dark” isn’t about resignation; it’s about clarity—how the shadows can sharpen outlines and make a heartbeat louder. “Werewolf” opens that conversation with the hunger of the hunt, while the album ranges through love that feels like risk, cities that hum like machines, and the stubborn hope that outlasts the night. Hooks surface where you least expect them, choruses bloom like neon, and the rhythm section keeps everything moving forward with a sense of purpose that borders on the devotional.
The release also marks a new chapter for a band with a singular history. Across the ’90s, PHANTOMS OF FUTURE built a reputation for immersive, magical-mystical shows, playing more than eight hundred gigs and sharing stages with Iggy Pop, The Stranglers, Sisters of Mercy, Sex Pistols, Cypress Hill, The Prodigy and others. They sent their track “SUN” into the German DAC Top 3 beside Metallica and Nirvana, contributed the first official Sea Shepherd soundtrack with “Sea Warrior,” and unsettled television waters with “Mary Jane.” After stepping out of the spotlight, they return not as a heritage act but as a creative force intent on pushing their myth forward.
To mark the occasion, PHANTOMS OF FUTURE announce a special album-release show at Piano in Dortmund on December 6, 2025, with further dates to follow.
“Some bands chase daylight,” Smith adds with a grin. “We’ve always preferred the hour when everything glows. That’s where these songs live. That’s where we live.”

Pagan-metal wayfarers Equilibrium have revealed their new single, ‘Borrowed Waters‘, featuring enchanting, witchy-pop artist Roniit. The track is the third single released from their new studio album, Equinox, due out on November 28th.
Equilibrium have unveiled an earthly, sylvan video for ‘Borrowed Waters‘ also featuring Roniit, who bares her soul, in step with ancient tides.
René Berthiaume commented: “This is the first original song of Equilibrium that has not been mostly written by me. I am very picky when it comes to the music, but when Jessy showed me the first demo, I immediately resonated with it. It is a very beautiful and fullfilling process to let other people dive into your project and be part of it. Also the collaboration with Roniit felt very natural. For me authenticity in art is super important and you can hear this also in her voice and see this in her video performance that she created for the song.”
Jessica Rösch commented: “‘Borrowed Waters’ is a song about surrender. About learning to move and flow with life and with the natural world we’ve all forgotten about a little bit. It speaks of cycles, of old memory and of a language older than us. Of what it means to belong to something much larger than yourself, larger than life itself.
The song was born out of a time when everything felt a kinda uncertain. It’s also the first song I’ve ever written that isn’t for my own music project and the first one I don’t sing myself on, which made the process feel incredibly intimate in a completely new way. Hearing someone else carry my words and melodies was so so deeply moving. Roniit captured the spirit and soul of ‘Borrowed Waters’ in the most profound way and I feel endlessly grateful for her.
It’s an incredible honour to have this song on the album. Working with René on music feels like we speak a language only we understand, even without words. Our writing styles are very different, yet somehow they fit together perfectly.”
Roniit commented: “I grew up listening to pagan and symphonic metal, and it’s a huge influence on my witchy dark-pop sound. Collaborating with Equilibrium felt like a full circle moment, returning to my metal roots while bringing my own magic into it. Above all, the message of Borrowed Waters really spoke to me. As someone who lives in the forest and practices magic, I see how we are part of nature, not separate from it. The modern world has pulled us further and further away, but this song is a reminder that we still belong to the earth, and that message feels important to share.”

About EQUILIBRIUM:
The world is spinning faster these days. Chaos, division and destruction hang heavy in the air. But music has long been humanity’s most vital defense against the turbulent tides of time. A band whose very name is a plea for balance and unity, Equilibrium have been making life-affirming music for nearly 25 years, and as they return after a lengthy hiatus, the German legends are more committed than ever to spreading some positivity and hope to the masses.
As they prepare to release their seventh and greatest album to date, the mighty Equinox, creative mainstays René Berthiaume and Jessica Rösch stand proudly at the forefront of modern metal, ushering in an inspirational new era. With a brand new singer, Fabian Getto, leading the charge, Equinox is this band’s most distinctive and powerful statement to date.
Equinox showcases a band in full control of their sonic and spiritual world, with songs that bring their cherished trademarks and authentic instrumentation together with new technology, electronic elements and giant, stirring melodies that rip from the speakers like proclamations from ancient gods. From the joyous rush of recent singles ‘Gnosis‘ and the melo-death inspired ‘Bloodwood‘, to the effortless, cross-pollinated mastery of ‘Earth Tongue‘, ‘Legends‘ and the show-stopping ‘Nexus‘, Equilibrium have never sounded more potent or passionate.
Equinox was recorded and produced by Equilibrium themselves, with some significant help from an assortment of guest musicians – including ex-Eluveitie violinist Shir-Ran Yinon and members of Dutch Viking metal band Heidevolk – and particularly from studio guru and multi-instrumentalist Danny McCook, who oversaw the album’s mixing process.
Inspired by their experiences with other creatives, Equilibrium have also made the decision to embrace authenticity in every aspect of their art. Equinox is adorned with artwork created by Jessica Rösch with her own hands and without any input from A.I. or any other technology. The end result is stunning and speaks volumes about this band’s desire to keep things real.
In turbulent times, real art keeps us all grounded in the things that really matter. Equinox is a statement of intent from a band reborn. Equilibrium have made great music in the past, but never with this much fire and focus. Brimming with smart ideas, anthemic melodies and crushing, state-of-the-art modern metal with an organic, folk-fuelled twist, it kicks open this new chapter in the band’s story with an exhilarating, heartfelt flourish.
French Atmospheric black metal project Souillé has released a new visualizer video for the track “Déluge violacé” (The Violaceous Deluge), from its powerful LP, L’odeur du mépris, out now via Wormholedeath.
“Déluge violacé” is a torrent of profound and overwhelming emotions, from melancholy to rage, that feels like an inundation. In a style that has become emblematic of Souillé’s unique sound, the track navigates a spectrum of human experience, from humility to disdain, with a raw intensity that is both captivating and somber.
Souillé is the creation of a French multi-instrumentalist whose work sits between black metal’s harsh extremity and the immersive textures of atmospheric post-black. The project’s identity is defined by melancholy and anxiety, weaving melodic flights into an aura that is both mystical and raw. Souillé’s music lives in the space between depressive poetry and relentless darkness — a place where listeners can confront their own shadows.
Known for their mischievous attitude, Fear of Domination is about to drop a truly colourful bomb from their upcoming album. “All As One” bursts with 80s-style energy and pure joy – a track that demands you dive in headfirst.
On the music video Lauri Hämäläinen has captured the band’s trademark vision of full-on UV mayhem, a spectacle that has already lit up their live shows. While the rest of the upcoming album explores deeper and darker themes, “All As One” stands out as a radiant explosion of fun. A perfect reminder that Fear of Domination can still throw one hell of a party.

Jessica Salmi, lyrics: “Once, identity was forged through family, work, culture, and community. Today, social media offers endless ways to shape, stage, and measure oneself against others. This breeds insecurity and shatters the sense of self. The song speaks of humanity’s blindness and the crushing weight of the spirit, yet above all, it stands as a fierce proclamation of unity and liberation.”
Lasse Raelahti, composer: “All as One started as a very straightforward EDM-style track but our producer (Jarno “Jassi” Hänninen) got a really strong 80’s vibe from the original demo and started pushing everything in the song towards that. 80’s is something that needs to be done full-on or not at all, so the final song has a huge amount of 80’s style elements with some obvious modern twists. As a part of the upcoming album, All as One is one of the tracks that keep up the party-vibes while most of the songs are more dark or even brutal!”

Glasgow Kiss are back with a furious new music video and single entitled “Forsaken”. The Norwegian Hard Rock / Alternative Metal band’s new music video was directed by Bård Leite at USF Verftet and Kongen in Bergen, Norway. This is the second single & music video taken from their upcoming full-length album Down In Flames which will be released on December 12, 2025 via Eclipse Records. The album was produced by Glasgow Kiss, and mixed/mastered by Peter Michelsen (Rat City, Madelene, Byting) at The Norwegian Sound studio. Tracking by Dan Mikal Ultang at Secret Location Studio, w/ vocal tracking at Elephant Studios.
Watch their “Forsaken” music video right now:
“The song and video both come from a place of feeling stuck” says lead vocalist Charlotte Marlen Midtun. “As it evolved, the contrast between the black room and the open park became a way to mirror the emotional journey in the song about the quiet weight that builds up when you can’t quite find your way out. There’s something deeply personal in that, even if it isn’t tied to one story. Making this video felt like confronting those feelings head-on, and in that process, we grew as a band. It taught us to trust simplicity, to let emotion lead instead of overthinking. What we hope people take away is that sense of recognition — that even in the dark, there’s something human, something honest, that connects us all.”
The band’s debut album, Down in Flames, is a burst of sweet dichotomy, altered reflections, foils, doppelgangers, and visions of the self through enchanting and fractured perspectives. First off, the lyrics are devastating portraits of loneliness, toxicity, grief and loss, desire and darkness. The contrast; however, is the rhythm guitar sound: a bold power-rock groove that launches us into the stratosphere, almost as if the band first tempts us to make love with our own misery, just to shake it off and rock ‘til we drop. In conjunction with the band’s overall theme of aesthetic duality, lead vocalist Charlotte Marlen Midtun puts on a clinic of tonal dynamics and emotional depth. From captivating soaring high range to powerful gritty belting to delicate passages in the mid-range, her remarkable range makes for a compelling emotional performance. Moreover, and more specifically, one cannot listen to this record without appreciating the mix on the vocals. Charlotte is produced sonically to be right in our ear, deep in our minds straight down through the heart, and when harmonies are added, they are produced as elegant backdrop, a whisper, like lace. This technique would, at first, seem like the natural “go-to” for most projects, but the effect is quite new compared with the latest trend in the industry to bring the harmony tracks equal in volume and tonality, creating what some might refer to as a “choral wash.” Glasgow Kiss; however, do not “wash” or dilute a darned thing. They write our stories, raw and unedited. All things considered, Glasgow Kiss offer us Down in Flames so we can relate to their sorrow and share in their joy. They prove to us that the two opposite viewpoints can live simultaneously, that both can be true, that both make a beautiful, delicate balance. We can confide in Glasgow Kiss. We come to them with our demons, and they give us a safe space. We include them in our victories and they high-five us when we all reach the top of the mountain. The album was produced by Glasgow Kiss, and mixed/mastered by Peter Michelsen (Rat City, Madelene, Byting) at The Norwegian Sound studio, with tracking by Dan Mikal Ultang at Secret Location Studio. Vocal were tracked at Elephant Studios. Artwork for the album and singles was created by Frode Andreassen and Sveinung Sveen. Down In Flames by Glasgow Kiss will be released on December 12, 2025 via Eclipse Records.
