Within the first ten seconds of their new single “Hypercube Necrodimensions”, wizard metal-supergroup WIZARDTHRONE (featuring members from ALESTORM, GLORYHAMMER, AETHER REALM, FORLORN CITADEL, NEKROGOBLIKON and more) goes full throttle with their multi-layered synth and guitar riffs, combined with gut-busting vocal deliveries! Archistrategos Barber (guitars) elaborates: “With the title track, “Hypercube Necrodimensions”, we stripped down the core elements of WIZARDTHRONE to their bare essentials, culminating in a compact and furious number. Unconventional harmonies, dense orchestration and blazing thrash metal provided a fitting bed for lyrics that had lain dormant for at least a thousand aeons – exploring cryptic themes that the shrewd and astute will of course recognise as containing the blueprints to reality itself. On July 16th, British metal legends PARADISE LOST will bring an icy breeze of gothic doom over this summer by releasing the captivating testimony of last year’s streaming event “At The Mill”. Captured at The Mill Nightclub near the band’s hometown in Yorkshire, England, the recording of the BluRay was directed by Ash Pears, who previously worked with the band on their music videos for ‘Medusa’ and ‘Obsidian’. Mixed by Les Smith and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano, the show will be available in various formats including CD, Blu-Ray and different vinyl colours. Today, the band unveils another appetizer for the release with a live performance of their evergreen ‘One Second‘ that you can watch here:

Slay At Home, the first of its kind virtual music festival organized by Frank Godla of Metal Injection, is celebrating its one year anniversary with the announcement of a grand finale. The fully stacked event will air this Friday and Saturday (June 18 & 19th) with music beginning at 12PM PST//3PM EST both days and panel discussions beforehand. The free virtual event will fundraise in support of 4 great charity organizations; Musicares, The Iggy Fund, Cancer Research Institute, and National Alliance On Mental Illness. Following the success of the first Slay At Home festival in the early stages of the pandemic, it was soon launched into a monthly series that has now collectively received millions of views, and over $200,000 in donations to various charities throughout the year.
Godla comments on the finale: “I started Slay At Home early in the pandemic to create an Entertainment fundraiser that would aid the music industry and charities I’m passionate about, while providing a fun new experience for metal fans around the globe. As the world prepares for a post-quarantine comeback, with more live shows announced each week, I have made the decision to send off Slay At Home as it began a year ago, with a mammoth variety show filled with lots of surprises, for an even greater set of causes. I invite everyone in the world to safely get together and watch as we celebrate music in its purest form. It’s an honor all around to work on this with so many incredible players who went above and beyond to create a truly unique experience.”
Unlike previous iterations of the Slay At Home fest, this one will also include in-depth discussion panels before the show as part of the side program. Each discussion promises to be an engaging experience for the viewers with special guests they’ll want to tune in early to see including Matt Heafy (Trivium), Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) and Finn McKenty (YouTuber). Greek melodic metal masters NIGHTFALL are now premiering the official music video for the song “Martyrs of the Cult of the Dead (Agita)” via OnlyFans! The decision to use this platform is to circumvent the arbitrary and harsh censorship restrictions across all social media, including YouTube, due to nudity and excessive violence. The video, which was created by Antoine de Montremy, can be seen for FREE at THIS LOCATION.
NIGHTFALL vocalist Efthimis Karadimas comments, “We are honored to have our ‘Martyrs of the Cult of the Dead,’ aka ‘Agita,’ being made by Antoine de Montremy, the producer of Chris Holmes’ documentary ‘Mean Man’ (official selection in 2020 Hollywood Gold Awards, Florence Film Awards, Orlando Film Festival and FMX) and his fabulous team. The video is based on ‘Agita’ lyrics and it represents the struggle with depression through its personification in female form (the word “depression” is a female noun in the Greek language). OnlyFans premiere has been chosen to avoid problems with YouTube’s strict policy towards nudity and violence. Especially the latter. This is not a porn video.”
Video director Antoine de Montremy adds, “In pure Nightfall fashion, approaching this video and the song’s concept has been quite a challenge: Efthimis already had a very precise vision for ‘Agita’ and we wanted to honor both the song and its message.
“Opening up about depression and its very solitary struggle is quite a brave move in nowadays so well polished metal world. Introducing female metaphors and pushing all boundaries was the only path to illustrate this inner struggle between love and hate, comfort and fear, joy and despair.
“Blessed with Hanna and Fanny’s outstanding performances – embodying all feelings human mind can experience – and thanks to the greatest filming crew ever, we are happy to unleash the fury of Agita to the world!”

Lead singer Victor Lima discussed the new video, “The Music video was recorded in our home town in Brazil – Belem, with many shots taken from the historic center of the city and some scenes in flashback from the previous recordings in the woods nearby, and the band playing in the forest as well. We had some issues doing that because many scenes were captured in the middle of people who were in their ordinary working days. This was intentional to make it more authentic, as many people there were doing their own things, and we naturally paid attention not to show anyone’s clear image without their previous approval. The recordings of “The Shell I’m Living In” took us a couple of days. We’ve been graced with amazing days and nights, brilliant acting performances from the actresses Anne and Duda, an inspiring direction by Roger Elarrat and beautiful Photography by Lucas Escocio. The whole team was incredible and emotive, and this intense atmosphere really stood out through the video.”
