Symphonic metallers DREAM OCEAN are back with a new single and an album announcement.

Following the latest single The Great Silence, complete with an epic flame-engulfed video, the band around mezzo-soprano and vocalist extraordinaire Başak Ylva is releasing their next single Daydreamer, which marks the launch of the crowdfunding campaign for their sophomore album The Missing Stone, out September 24th. The song, which has been evolving alongside the Turkish-German band for ten years under the title Uyan (Turkish: Wake Up), is ready to see the light of day in its best iteration yet. Filled to the brim with roaring guitar riffs, gleaming synths and orchestral highs, Daydreamer/Uyan tells an otherworldly tale of the mournful strife for lucidity in the aftermath of losing a lover. Drawing upon her own painful experiences, Başak’s raw lyricism describes a woman being led astray between a world once shared by two minds, bodies and spirits and a harsh, alien one that she’s yet to claim as her own.

Founded in Istanbul in 2010 and inspired by scene giants like Nightwish, Dream Ocean have always been ones to set the bar high for themselves, and it shows. Lead singer Başak Ylva studied opera at Istanbul University State Conservatory before she moved to Germany to finish her studies at the Cologne Hochschule für Musik und Tanz with a Master of Music – all while working tirelessly towards achieving her vision with the band, and it’s safe to say that her efforts have borne fruits: Renowned collaborators chimed in to give their support, such as Epica’s Mark Jansen and  Amaranthe’s Jake E, who have lent their exceptional voices to Lost Love Symphony, or Joost van den Broek (a.o. Epica, After Forever, Powerwolf) who helped orchestrate the remarkable debut. All the buzz didn’t go unnoticed and Dream Ocean soon started playing festivals all over Europe and have successfully opened for Epica and Myrath.

The band landed true underground hits with Lost Love Symphony and the single Everstorm, which received praise from even beyond the world of Symphonic Metal. The Missing Stone now heralds the next chapter of Dream Ocean’s journey towards synergizing their passions for opera and metal. Daydreamer is the band proving once again how seamlessly these ostensibly different worlds can be made to blend.

In support of the video release for the Turkish version of Daydreamer, Uyan, the band (Başak, Sebastian and Fred) has announced a livechat on their Instagram (Friday, June 4th 2021 at 7 pm CEST). In case you’d like to ask them directly about their new single, the upcoming album or the crowdfunding campaign, make sure to stop by and say hi!

Canadian progressive metal-core band BLOOD OF THE PHOENIX release blistering new single “Signs Of War” and stream via INSANE BLOG!

The track can be heard here.

Indie metal band Blood of the Phoenix rises to the top of the ranks with their shocking dynamic vocal style, powerful storytelling and robust instrumentation. Drawing inspiration from early 2000s Metalcore, the band has created their niche pocket in the hardcore genre. This five-piece ensemble consists of Jess Escobar as lead vocalist, Bradley Hart & Manny Marwaha on guitar, Jade Weekes on bass, and Nolan Moore on the drums. At its inception, Nolan and Bradley met in recovery on the downtown Vancouver eastside, struggling with personal addictions. During this process, they created a bond that would come full circle to the creation of Blood of the Phoenix. The name was directly inspired by each of the bandmate’s life experiences where they rose from the ashes and reinvented themselves. Their upcoming debut EP “From What We Used To Know” explores the darkness and healing within judgment, rejection, loss and addiction. Throughout the pandemic, the band produced, recorded and wrote everything off of their new EP independently. They have also been featured in Star Pow-R’s “A Very Metal Christmas”, LockFest 2020, and Fallen Fest. Blood of the Phoenix is not your average metal band, they are a new age genre with a massive future ahead of them.

“From What We Used To Know” will be released digitally on all major platforms July 2nd and can be pre-ordered here.

Tracklist:
Signs of war
Searching for a destination
Lady of the plagued

GENTLE SAVAGE have revealed the stunning front cover art of their debut album “Midnight Waylay”, set to be released on June 17th via the Bandcamp at https://gentlesavage1.bandcamp.com.

Lead vocalist Tornado on the album and its cover art:
“TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY
Isn’t it strange that when you get something really big done you are at the same time relieved and a bit confused?! That’s how it feels like right now.
Our debut album is ready for release, coming out on June 17th via our Bandcamp page, and now we are proud to reveal the MIDNIGHT WAYLAY album cover to the world.
The cover art was created by our friend, graphic art wizard Vin Valentino. Vin and vocalist Tornado created the Midnight Waylay world based on Tornado’s visions of a Rock Band descending down to earth using a ‘stairway to heaven’. That’s Tornado’s way of showing his gratitude to the old great ones who showed the Rock’n Roll way for latter generations to roll.”

Earlier Tornado has unveiled about the album: “Midnight Waylay depicts a ‘taking it easy in the daytime, turning into a beast at night’ kind of lifestyle. Just like a hunter strikes from the shadows, ruthless and silent, these songs can without warning rock your world. As a concept the album Midnight Waylay is best appreciated when served whole, but each song has its own character and works well independently. Find your own adventure, let yourself loose!”

The wait is over! London based metallers JASON PAYNE & THE BLACK LEATHER RIDERS have released their new acclaimed single & video ‘The Dark‘, now streaming on all major platforms.

Watch ‘The Dark’ video via YouTube, here:

or via VEVO: https://youtu.be/WqONzeGUCtY

Jason Payne on ‘The Dark’:
“Starting this new chapter of my artistic life is a dream come true for me. “The Dark” is a perfect starter to showcase the artistic direction of this project, and it’s a pleasure to finally release this track. I couldn’t be happier with the result – I believe this EP and this specific track is one of our best works so far. I’ve always been interested in philosophy, and this song really showcases my interest in that field, our
cohesion and friendship as a band, our image and our sound. I feel good about our chances of building a long-lasting career with Jason Payne & The Black Leather Riders, and I know that this is the beginning of our long journey in the music industry.”

On the single artwork Jason adds:
“Created by the incredible Gustavo Sazes, the artwork captures the feel of the single; Death, obscurity and the “nothing”. The single talks of things like trying to reach to the void, feeling confused and betrayed, and about a person that’s losing his essence. Without a consciousness, and with no purpose in our lives, we’re just a bunch of roamers taking a road to the abyss, and that leads us to the dark and lashes us to insignificant beings floating in “the nothing”.”

Just recently the band revealed first details of their upcoming 6-tracks EP, entitled “The Abyss”, coming out soon.

Read what Jason has to say:
“The Dark is a song that sums up the theme of this EP, “The Abyss”. It’s about death, obscurity and the “nothing”. It talks of things like trying to reach to the void, feeling confused and betrayed, and about a person that’s losing his essence. Without a consciousness, and with no purpose in our lives, we’re just a bunch of roamers taking a road to the abyss, and that leads us to the dark and lashes us to insignificant beings floating in “the nothing”.
When I was writing this EP, I got affected by the outside world. It’s a dark period that we’re living. I caught the essence and the feelings that this time put me through and made a whole EP about existentialism and nihilism. This period made me question who am I, what’s my purpose, what have I done with my life and what if this all ends now? Would it matter? Do we matter? Does life matters? Of course, it does! In my opinion, there’s no point of doing anything or living if this doesn’t matter. However, when I wrote this EP, I don’t give you the bright side of the story. That’s for the fans to find out. My whole point with this work is to make people question their lives and feel these emotions. This record means so much to me, since it’s about everything I felt and still feel. I’m a person who never stops asking questions. I always want to know more. Specially, when it comes to existentialism, I’m always in internal conflict, since I question everything. This is my message, this is my music and it’s about how I feel, and hopefully, people will relate to it.”

Stay tuned for more details.

JASON PAYNE & THE BLACK LEATHER RIDERS will play the all-day hard-hitting show at Camden Rocks on July 10th, alongside Reverted, Rival Karma, Janus Stark, Bleeding Antlers, Star Circus, Thousand Thoughts, Season of Ghosts, The Blood Republic, Tales of Perdition and Red Light Acid Test at The Black Heart! Tickets – http://camdenrocks.seetickets.com. Facebook Event page.

Jason stated:
“It has been too long since I’ve played a show. We’re so excited to be back on stage! I know it’s gonna be a great moment for us and for the fans!”

With a history boasting over 300,000 streams, 50 live shows and a modest lifetime of musical creation with past acts, London based metal artist Jason Payne has taken 2020 to embark on a new journey; JASON PAYNE & THE BLACK LEATHER RIDERS. A culmination and reincarnation of his strongest rock compositions, with numerous releases ready and waiting taking influence from the likes of Slash, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Korn, and many other legendary over the years. Think big riffs, impactful grit-laden vocals, and an energy just screaming to be invited to the live stage.

FIMIR Premiere First Track ‘Temple Of Madness’ From Upcoming Album

Emerging from the ashes of CHURCH OF VOID, there is a new force rising up to pursue a path in the name of doom: FIMIR, who just released signed a worldwide deal with Argonauta Records, have shared a first single and more details of their upcoming debut album!

Containing six, heavy cosmic tracks unleashing an enthralling blend of razor sharp riffage, a haunting occult vibes, ambient soundspheres and classic doom metal, FIMIR‘s first full-length, entitled Tomb Of God, is slated for a release on July 30th. Today, the band has shared a first track and music video for the epic doom juggernaut “Temple Of Madness”! Says vocalist & guitarist Magus Corvus:

“Temple of Madness.. the title speaks for itself.Three screeching guitars, hammering bass and drums of doom with a choir consisting of Cosmic God’s Acolytes. A familiar song from our demo tape, it is the central part of our thematic set of songs. I think it pretty much sums up what Fimir’s first album is about; well packed chaos neatly ordered for your pleasure. Crank it up loud!”

FIMIR was founded in 2019 by former CHURCH OF VOID members G. Funeral, Magus Corvus, H. Warlock, A.D. and Septic Apes’ drummer H. Wizzard. From a mere spark in the dark and a distant echo of forgotten riffs haunting in emptiness from a collapsed doomstar of their former band, FIMIR got rid of their ghosts and started to work on their first album right away, until the world went into lockdown. Ultimately, the five-piece collective hailing from the frozen wastelands of Finland, used their time and creativity wisely, and managed to put the final touches on their upcoming debut, which will be available as Vinyl, CD and Digital formats on July 30, 2021 through Argonauta Records. The pre-sale has just started at THIS LOCATION!

Tomb Of God Tracklist:
01. One Eyed Beast
02. Horde Of Crows
03. White Wolf
04. Obsidian Giant
05. Temple Of Madness
06. Mausoleum Craft
