As the saying goes, “All good things come in threes!” After the huge response to the first video “Where The Angels Fly” in September 2020 and an equally great reception of the follow up “Face Of A Stranger” in March 2021, DATOG, the new project built around singer Udo Dirkschneider and his former Accept colleagues Peter Baltes (bass) and Stefan Kaufmann (guitar), plus the unforgetable U.D.O. guitarist Mathias Dieth, as well as Udo’s son Sven Dirkschneider (drums) and singer Manuela Bibert, these musicians are culminating at the highest of levels. “Every Heart Is Burning” is the name of the band’s new and third song to be released on 28thMay 2021. Compared to its two predecessors, its a touch harder but just as melodic and catchy. Apart from the charismatic lead vocals of Dirkschneider, Baltes and Bibert and the anthemic chorus, Dieth’s magnificent and rousing guitar solo is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the song, which, according to its title, is all about love and affection, says Stefan Kaufmann, who produced the songs. “Even though “Every Heart Is Burning” shows the heavy side of DATOG, all three numbers swim in stylistically similar waters and would certainly have fit on the U.D.O. classic album “Faceless World” back in the day”, remarked Stefan.
Los Angeles-based MOTIVE BLACK is the modern metal brainchild of vocalist Elana Justin, a project that has been a long time coming. Graduating from the bar band circuit in New York, Elana seized the opportunity to move to Los Angeles in 2018 to work on new music. A stranger in a strange land, she found herself immersed in the local scene and performing on open mic nights at the iconic Viper Room. The LA music community welcomed her, connections and friends were made, which eventually led to a collaboration with Grammy winning guitarist / producer Nick Rowe (Bloodsimple, Vampire Weekend). The duo reworked a song from Elana’s former New York band, taking the music in a heavier direction, and MOTIVE BLACK was born.
Today the band released their first videoclip and single “Broken” through AFM – presenting a mixture of grooving alternative rock and crushing modern metal that countersinks its way into your ear canal. When listening closer after rocking out, Elana’s both powerful and fragile charismatic voice gets deep.
Furthermore the following people have been involved in the production: – Mixed by Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Korn, Papa Roach). – Featuring Ray Luzier (Korn) on drums – Featuring Marcos Curiel (P.O.D.) on guitars
“‘Broken’ is a song that came together when we were taking a break from writing the song we were actually working on,” says Elana. “I get to go on a little journey singing it, which is always fun. The idea behind the song is about breaking down walls. It’s a song based on truth. It’s about being afraid to take risks because you work so hard to protect yourself. I think a lot of people can relate to that.”
For the future, Elana’s goal is to turn MOTIVE BLACK into a full band, both in the interest of touring and future work on new music as they move forward. In the meantime, she is set to unleash no less than four singles from MOTIVE BLACK between May 2021 and January 2022, all of them with rock solid staying power.
“It’s interesting to be signed,” says Elana says of joining the AFM Records family. “I don’t have a following because MOTIVE BLACK is a brand new project, so the music must have spoken to someone at the label. Hopefully that sort of interest will pull me through.”

Croatian Metallers ARWAT have released their first LP entitled “Criminally Insane With Knowledge Of State Secrets”.
In the end of 2019 AD, ARWAT released their first EP entitled “Aryan Heretic” revealing the band from Osijek, Croatia to the wilderness of Metal society. During 2020 AD, the band started to work on their new material, and truth be told, May 2021 AD turned out to be just the right time for their second release, LP entitled “Criminally Insane With Knowledge Of State Secretsˮ, which consists of 12 new, purely Arwat songs, and also one cover.
As a special guest on the track “Treasonable Doubt” , Arwat is proud to present Renata Petrelli from The Damnnation, an all-female Thrash Metal power trio from São Paulo, Brazil.
Prior to the LP release, Arwat published the music video for the song “Ubojstvo Na Ulici” (English translation: Murder In the Street) which was the first single taken from “Criminally Insane With Knowledge Of State Secrets”.

“Village of Witches” is taken from the second album of Polish death metallers CATHARSIS. The new LP “Human Failures” proves the band’s technical inspirations, but also presents the exploration of the new territory, leading CATHARSIS towards more brutal and heavier death metal sound with a touch of black metal. „Human Failures” is a visible step forward in the band’s musical journey and undoubtedly the darkest chapter of it. The album is being produced, engineered, mixed & mastered by Filip „Heinrich” Hałucha in Heinrich House Studio. All drums parts have been composed by Eugene Ryabchenko (Fleshgod Apocalypse, ex live – Belphegor, ex live – Vital Remains) and recorded by Dariusz „Daray” Brzozowski (live – Dimmu Borgir, ex – Vader) as a session drummer, who gives a truly outstanding drum performance and takes the compositions to another level. One of the seven new tracks, entitled „Made Of Blood” includes a mind blowing guest vocal appearance by the death metal icon Ross Dolan (Immolation). The new album will be issued by Mad Lion Records June 25th 2021.
Adam comments: “I don’t remember where I read the article about African witch villages. Places where elderly people were sent, accused of magic and witchcraft by local communities. It was the only way they could survive. Otherwise, they would face death from the hateful crowd. We composed the introduction in the studio, having previously had a certain vision of what it should look like. It turned out very ominous. I always have shivers down my spine listening to this beginning. I associate it with the atmosphere of the Exorcist.”
THE DAY OF THE BEAST have shared Indisputably Carnivorous – the title track and third single to be taken from their upcoming fourth album of the same name, due for release on June 18 via Prosthetic Records. The US based blackened death metal band have also shared an accompanying lyric video for the track, with the visual further building upon their Lovecraftian horror influenced sound.
Speaking on the single release, the band comments: “Indisputably Carnivorous is lyrically themed around the Graham Masterson novel The Wells of Hell. This is one we’ve been jamming on at practice for a while now instrumentally, so it was awesome when we finally heard it with vocals. We think it’s a banger and we hope everyone enjoys it!”
Dripping with pure aggression and channelling evil through all inputs, Indisputably Carnivorous is the soundtrack to every raging nightmare brought to life. Shining a light on the darkest, filthiest corners of the human psyche by way of apocalyptic, horror-inspired storytelling – THE DAY OF THE BEAST have created a monster. Each track revolves around its own specific tale or theme, with inspiration coming from the likes of Clive Barker, Bram Stoker, and Lovecraft. The album name is taken from the Graham Masterson novel The Wells of Hell, and the title track is primarily based on that book.
Recorded August – October 2020, in Hampton Roads, Virginia with the band overseeing all elements of recording the meat of the album themselves, they then enlisted Tony Petrocelly of Trepan Studios to track vocals. The album was mixed and mastered by Zach Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios. Taking control of production themselves allowed the band – which features Steve Redmond from fellow Prosthetic signees, Foretoken – to set their own pace – they took the time to look back over past output, cherry-picking the elements they rated the most and bringing them together in one cohesive rager of an album. The result is a whiplash inducing thrash-via-death metal record; celebrating the legacy of the genre whilst adding their own indisputably blood-thirsty, indisputably abominable, indisputably carnivorous spin on it.
Indisputably Carnivorous is due for release via Prosthetic Records on June 18, 2021.
Indisputably Carnivorous tracklist: 1. Corruptor_Infestor 2. Disturbing Roars at Twilight 3. Indisputably Carnivorous 4. Enter The Witch House 5. Annihilation Prayer 6. Venomous Procession 7. On Top Many Layers of Horror 8. Black Forms Materialize 9. Judas in Hell Be Proud 10. On Wyverns Wings to Oblivion
