Vasiliki Biza adds: ”I’m excited about working with the mighty Nightfall. One of the most important Greek metal bands with a great discography and point of view. As a female musician with years of participation in the independent music scene, I feel confident about our collaboration. Our passion for music is on the same frequency and I believe that this will have a positive impact on all of you who will meet us in the upcoming steps. I ‘m looking forward to start playing live soon.’

Byzantine released their latest album, The Cicada Tree, to critical acclaim in 2017. To state that The Cicada Tree is “classic Byzantine” in no way implies that this is an album solely rooted in the band’s past. Certainly, all of the hallmarks that have made their sound so compelling for close to two decades are present and correct: muscular yet lithe riffs and fluid leads play against gripping, dynamic and at times unpredictable rhythms, while rich melodies and lyrics that are both involved and intelligent wind their way through every track. But, once more, the groove metal unit has continued their steady evolution – the interplay between their members organic and natural, imbuing the record’s sixty-two-minute running time with a freshness and urgency.

It’s been one of the last shows before the world shut down. California’s desert punk icons MONDO GENERATOR, fronted by former Queens Of The Stone Age and Kyuss bassist Nick Oliveri, were currently on the road in Europe, while the pandemic forced them to abruptly end their extensive tour just a short time later. Recorded in high quality at the legendary Bronson club in Ravenna, Italy on February 13th 2020, and to share this unforgettable, high- voltage show with fans from all over the world, MONDO GENERATOR will release their “Live At Bronson” album on July 2, 2021 through Italy’s powerhouse label Heavy Psych Sounds Records!

Featuring MONDO GENERATOR hits and several QOTSA / Kyuss classics, the trio has just released a first single from their upcoming live record: “Dead Silence” was originally recorded in 2010, until the track got reissued on MONDO GENERATOR’s “Shooter’s Bible” in early 2020. Performed live at one of the last, pre-Covid shows ever, you can now listen to “Dead Silence” live at Bronson in a worldwide premiere here:

MONDO GENERATOR was formed in 1997 by Queens of the Stone Age bassist/singer Nick Oliveri. Initially intended as a solo/side project, the classic “Cocaine Rodeo” album was recorded that same year, but shelved until the Southern Lord label released it and its unique brand of criminal insanity to widespread acclaim and horror in the summer of 2000. Following several full-lengths, EPs and a live DVD, a solo acoustic career and heavy touring schedules with Kyuss Lives! / Vista Chino and MONDO GENERATOR to date, the restless multi- talent Oliveri has started a new band project, Stöner, featuring Brant Bjork and Ryan Güt. Stöner’s debut, “Stoners Rule”, will be coming out on June 25th through Heavy Psych Sounds, who will also release VOLUME 7 of Nick Oliveri‘s “N.O. Hits At All ” series ( due out on July 2nd ).

Get your full dose of the pure desert punk madness and pre-order MONDO GENERATOR’s “Live At Bronson”, among many more killer new releases featuring the one & only Nick Oliveri, via the label’s store at: www.heavypsychsounds.com

AUTARKH Share Official Music Video for New Song “Alignment”

Dutch extreme metal outfit AUTARKH are now unveiling the official music video for the song “Alignment,” which is taken from their latest album ‘Form In Motion.’ The music video, which was created by Guilherme Henriques, can be viewed via the official Season of Mist YouTube channel HERE.

AUTARKH comments: ”We are proud to present our second music video for ‘Alignment.’ The video was shot by the talented videographer Guilherme Henriques at Koepelhal and Textielmuseum in Tilburg (NL). ‘Alignment’ tries to capture a most desirable form of motion towards a realm where time and space are aligned, a realm of astonishing catharsis, self-government and independence. It feels like the right time to release this video; the times are still uncertain but it seems we’re moving towards more freedom with an abundance of gained experience.’

AUTARKH have recently been featured on the national television show ‘Muziekstad’ (Music City), from the Dutch broadcasting company 3Voor12/VPRO. In the 30-minute short documentary, founder Michel Nienhuis explains his take on the heavy music scene of the city of Tilburg (NL), which is a fertile ground for the arts. The TV show also features Autarkh’s first ever live performance of the tracks “Turbulence” and “Alignment.” Check out the documentary HERE (English subtitles are available.)

To misquote Allen Ginsburg “the circle DODECAHEDRON is broken. But with death comes rebirth.”  AUTARKH takes a radical approach to their musical assault, consuming the listener with dizzying maelstroms of chaos. ‘Form In Motion’ embodies the word “extreme,” putting forth an intrusive battery of blistering guitars, pummeling drums, spastic math metal salvos and cacophonous electronics that culminates in one of the most robust and daring debut records metal has seen yet.

AUTARKH have previously announced their performance at the 2021 ‘Redux’ edition of the prestigious and unique Roadburn Festival on April 16-18, 2021. For more information and RSVP possibilities on the digital event, please visit www.roadburn.com

‘Form in Motion’ is out NOW! Stream/download/order HERE.
