Split Screen Management has a pleasure to announce the signing of Texas’ electronic rockers CEDARS into its roster family! In addition, the band’s new album “Cowards” is coming out on June 11th. More details TBA.

CEDARS is an electronic rock band from central Texas whose music incorporates the DIY ethos of bands like The Pixies and PJ Harvey, the haunting atmospheres of Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails, and the infectious grooves of MuteMath. CEDARS is more than just a band: it’s is a vision of community, a community driven by the idea that beauty can save the world. Led by longtime friends Sandeigh Kennedy and Drew Heaton, they blend industrial and organic textures, drawing together disparate elements to marry complex sonic landscapes with compelling stories. Gritty synths and wispy vocals; hard hitting beats and delicate textures are the tools they use to tell powerful, authentic stories that explore truth and beauty.

GUARDIAN OF LIGHTNING Release ‘Live At Cosmos Tree’ Extended Live Video & Album

Thunder metal pioneers GUARDIAN OF LIGHTNING are back, and they have just released a new extended live video & soundtrack album entitled Live At Cosmos Tree. The album was produced by Eurico Tavares on location at The Cosmos Tree near Sao Paulo, Brazil. The album artwork features a “spirit of the light” which was unknowingly captured by a member of the band’s crew after their live performance. Watch the full thirty-two minute performance at this location.

“Recording at The Cosmos Tree was a great challenge due to the local restrictions” says lead bassist Iron King. “After two months of planning, we got the necessary permits and a team of professionals who were fearless to film the video at this special, scared location. The tree is over one hundred years old, and many stories are told by the elder residents of that region. When you get close to that huge tree, you can feel the energy that emanates from it… a strong feeling of comfort and peace, as if the tree is embracing you with its own lifeforce. Some of our equipment wouldn’t work properly, and other stuff (like the generators) we had to place far away and run extension cords to the tree. Some strange noises and sonic anomalies were captured in the audio because of the tree’s energy (and you can hear them on the album). Some people may not believe us, but my grandmother was in the audience and took a picture of the tree as we were getting ready to leave. She is a medium and had a feeling to take one last picture. When we got home, she called and told me about the spirit of the light which she captured on her camera. We drove straight to her and she showed us… it was amazing!”

10,000 YEARS Release Brand New Video ‘Gargantuan Forest’

10,000 YEARS stream their latest video “Gargantuan Forest” via Doomed & Stoned. In addition Doomed & Stoned gave a brilliant review which can be read at the same location, here.

Less than a year after their first release, the universally acclaimed selftitled EP, 10,000 Years are back with their first full length effort, aptly titled “II”.

Picking up right where the EP left off, “II” continues the story of the ill-fated Albatross-mission and its exploration of time and space through a skullcrushing mixture of stonerrock, doom- & sludge metal.

The album was recorded in the legendary Studio Sunlight with the equally legendary Tomas Skogsberg manning the controls.

The album will be released on vinyl by underground heavyweigths Interstellar Smoke Records with a CD-edition and digital coming from Death Valley Records. Additionally there will be two different cassette editions from Ogo Rekords and Olde Magick Records respectively.

Legendary hard rockers NIGHT RANGER are set to release their 12th studio album, “ATBPO” on August 6, 2021 via Frontiers Music Srl. “ATBPO” stands for And The Band Played On, an ode to making music during the covid era. It will be available on CD and Vinyl (several limited edition, color vinyl versions), as well as digitally across all streaming platforms. The band began writing the album in early 2020, amid the onset of the global pandemic. After narrowing down the song selection and tightening them up to their well-known rock ‘n roll sound, the band hit the studio, although separately, due to the times we are in. Throughout “ATBPO”, we hear Night Ranger continuing their hot streak that kicked off with 2011’s “Somewhere In California”. Ten years on, and two highly acclaimed albums later, “High Road” and “Don’t Let Up”, the band’s latest studio work shows them still burning with that high octane hard rock energy they are known for. Israeli SHREDHEAD Return With New Single ‘The Nothing We Are’

Israeli metal collective SHREDHEAD have returned with a neck-breaking single, “The Nothing We Are,” recorded, mixed and mastered by acclaimed Danish producer Tue Madsen (Meshuggah, The Haunted, Suicide Silence).

“Nothing shows how feeble and insignificant we all are like this past year has,” says frontman Aharon Ragoza. “It has stopped everything and everyone in their tracks, reminding everyone that no matter how big you are, there are bigger fish in the sea, no matter how special you are, there are thousands like you, and no matter how important we think we are, in the end, we are all just nothing. This is what this song is about.”

The new single comes as SHREDHEAD announces a headline performance dubbed “Rise Up” on June 19 at one of Israel’s top venues, Zappa B-Side TLV club in Tel Aviv, with support from local artists Dukalaton,  Matricide and  DPS. “Everybody is naturally aching for a show, and we’ve felt like this is the perfect time to bring up our game and return to the stages with our biggest headline show to date,” says guitarist Razi Elbaz.

The hardworking SHREDHEAD is a force to be reckoned with in Israel. Grinding their way to the top of Tel Aviv’s alternative scene with hundreds of domestic and international shows, including tours with Overkill,  Crowbar and  DevilDriver in Europe and Japan, packed local headline shows and official endorsement from metal guitar giants ESP, the band continues pushing forward with their new single.“Everyone in the band is hyped about releasing this new single backed by a major ‘post-Covid’ comeback to the stages after this year and a half of a shitstorm,” says bassist Lee Lavy. “We can’t wait. All five of us are working around the clock to put on the best show that we can for our fans.”

The band is also hard at work on their next full-length album. “This release and the upcoming show feel like a breath of fresh air after a long time working hard behind the scenes,” guitarist Yotam Nagor says. “‘The Nothing We Are’ is just a first taste of much more material to come from the band. Stopping or slowing down is never an option for us, so during this time we’ve been busting our asses to bring forth new material. For now, we can say we’re at a very advanced stage in the production of our next title, and at this point it’s safe to say new material from the band is coming soon.”

Combining brute force with modern and relentless heaviness, SHREDHEAD has been hailed as one of the top Israeli metal exports to date. The group has released three albums: Human Nature, Death is Righteous and Live Unholy. Live Unholy, released in 2019 via Legend Recordings, received over 10,000 streams on Spotify within its first week of release.
