Finnish rockers KILLER ASPECT break the silence and releases new single “Troubles”!

Killer Aspect was founded a bit over 15 years ago in Helsinki, Finland. Teijo Jämsä from a band called Killer (Familiar from songs like All I Want, Naughty Boy etc.) and Samuli Relander from active live bands Personal Aspect and The Winyls decided to combine forces. Killer Aspect’s first single “TV” (2007) reached number 1 chart position on national radio station YleX. It was followed by single ”Bloodshot”, that was also a radio favourite and reached number 5 on radio hit charts. Debut album ”How Does it Work” (Bonnier Music) was released in April 2008. At the same time the band played lots of gigs, some of which were quite high profile (they were the opening act for 30 Seconds to Mars in 2008).

However, the band members had lots of other projects going on and Killer Aspect was put on hiatus after their second album ”Brand new start” (2013). They prepared some new really hard rocking material of which “Troubles” is the first single.

Vocalist Max Paananen backgrounds the new single:“After all difficulties, challenges and even bad times the troubles might still find you. The character of the story isn’t able to avoid troubles because they aren’t actually a cause and a result. Situations might escalate and because of that troubles might still catch us all.
Personally I see the lyrics like as an theatrical trailer of a good old B-movie that reveals the whole storyline in minutes. Verse is punchlines and chorus is the whole script of the movie.”

QUINN SULLIVAN Releases New Video ‘In A World Without You’

QUINN SULLIVAN is revealing a new side of his musical identity on “In A World Without You,” premiered this week via Flaunt Magazine. Now 22-years-old, the singer, songwriter, and guitarist has already toured the world, collaborated with rock’s biggest legends, and developed genuinely jaw-dropping skills as a guitar player. But now, Sullivan’s more recent work has been with pen and paper, as he lets the abundant skills of his youth blossom and steer him into new directions of artistry and creativity. “In A World Without You” will be featured on Sullivan’s upcoming full-length album, ‘Wide Awake,’ out June 4th via Mascot Label Group.

“’In a World without You’ is one of my favorite songs off of the new album,” Sullivan told Flaunt. “We shot it at Building Records, a recording studio in Marlboro, New York. I had an absolute blast making it. I had the opportunity to bring in some friends of mine to do this with me, which I think really added to the concept. Playing drums is Lee Falco, playing keyboards is Will Bryant, and playing bass is Brandon Morrison.”

Recorded in Los Angeles with producer/collaborator Oliver Leiber, ‘Wide Awake’ adds potent new arrows to a quiver already brimming with sure-shots, and it showcases the kind of forward motion that separates the artists from the mere players. “I want people to understand who I am as an artist,” explains Quinn. “I think my audience will appreciate the fact that the guitar is still a huge part of who I am, and I can truthfully say all the songs are coming from a very honest place.”

A rare artist who’s always sounded older than his years, Sullivan has been touring the world since he was 11-years-old, playing storied venues such as Madison Square Garden, the Hollywood Bowl and RFK Stadium in Washington D.C., as well as India’s Mahindra Blues Festival, Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival, and three Montreux Jazz Festivals. Quinn has shared the stage with his hero and mentor Buddy Guy, as well as Carlos Santana on several occasions. Quinn’s performance experience includes appearances on leading national television programs Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and CBS This Morning, to name a few.

As he moves into this new chapter, Sullivan’s constant credo has been growth and learning. “I want to stay true to where I come from, and go from there,” says Sullivan. “The artists that inspire me to do that are always hungry for the new. They never repeat themselves. They just grow and become more unique — and that’s what I aim to do as an artist.”

Finnish modern melodic death metallers DIMMAN are set to release their debut album ‘Songs and Tales of Grievance’ on July 30th 2021 via Inverse Records. The band’s modern melodeath combines beautiful melodies, heavy compositions and technical musicality into a unique ensemble. In addition to the diverse instrumentation, Dimman’s two vocalists create a distinctive and balanced soundscape.

The second single Obscenity from the album is released today and video can be seen here:

“Obscenity is the fastest song on the album, highlighting the work of the band’s new drummer, Arto Pieksämäki. The intensive and technical song culminates in an orchestral ending accompanied with some rapid riffing and haunting singing. Obscenity’s theme comprehends a leader whose morbid and violent decisions cause iniquities among the nation.” –Valtteri Halkola, vocals

The album addresses all the grievances and insecurities that cause misery to both individuals and communities. The incapability to be able to affect the injustices results in frustration, which can be heard from every song on the album. Songs and Tales of Grievance’ is mixed and mastered by Santeri Peltomäki (Entropy Mixing) whose powerful production supports the band’s versatile compositions.

WOODEN VEINS Share New Lyric Video For “Beyond Words”

Hailing from Chile, South America and featuring former members of well known doom metal units like Mourning Sun and Mar de Grises, WOODEN VEINS are about to get set for the release of their highly anticipated debut album, titled “In Finitude“, out on June 4th via The Vinyl Division. With a wide range of ingredients, packed into a defined artistic concept & aesthetic, the band’s upcoming studio album is a deeply powerful piece of music, exploring the edge of extreme metal’s territories. After the previously- released video clip for “The Veiled Curse”, today WOODEN VEINS unleashes a brand new lyric video for “Beyond Words”, which is “a track about what drives us to move forward, the unspeakable that hides within us” as WOODEN VEINS states. “It can be a deep determination towards our longings or simply some persistent activity that we exercise throughout our lives without being aware of its fascination. That longing or activity that moves us will always be faced with the ups and downs of life; work, studies, personal relationships, family, fortuitous things, etc. and it is there where those impulses are put to the test, which always keeps going despite the cold that may surround us, the confusion that we may feel and the deceptions, anxieties and melancholy that time may present us.“

Watch the lyric video for “Beyond Words” here:

Initially planned as the second part of the album’s opening track “Thin Shades”, it soon became clear that “Beyond Words” had to become a piece of music of its own, as the band explains:

“Thin Shades was a song about 9 minutes long and after a careful listen we decided to split it into two tracks. In fact, in most of the album layout we simply called this track ‘Thin Shades part 2’ until it had a personality of its own. It is maybe these two songs that leaves us the most satisfied due to the dynamics; electronic sounds, vocal arrangements, blast beats, etc.. With each step of progress, we liked it more and more and now, here we present it to you and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.“

Produced by Juan Escobar at Vultura Studio, Czech Republic and mastered by Magnus Lindberg in Sweden (Cult Of Luna, Tribulation, Dool, Lucifer), “In Finitude” will be coming out on June 4th via The Vinyl Division and is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

Tracklist:

1. Thin Shades
2. Beyond Words
3. Herradura (by the sea)
4. Mirages
5. The Veiled Curse
6. Invern

2021 is once again completely under the spell of the wolves: With the announcement of their new studio album, Call Of The Wild, POWERWOLF, the high priests of heavy metal, have turned the heads of fans and critics internationally and hereby seamlessly continue on their unique success story!

The first single from the upcoming album is entitled “Beast Of Gévaudan“, and takes the listener on an impressive journey into the depths of historical France, while the majestically staged music video and its stunning visuals make hearts beat faster just after the first few seconds.

Matthew Greywolf on the new single:
“We are more than proud to present “Beast of Gévaudan”, the first song off our upcoming album, Call Of The Wild. The story behind the song couldn’t fit better into the world of POWERWOLF: It’s about a mysterious beast that killed countless people in the south of France at the end of the 18th century. The beast was never caught and there have always been many legends surrounding the events, up to the interpretation of the clergy, who saw the beast as ‘God’s punishment’ or even as a ‘savior of mankind from the worldly and sinful existence.’”

Watch the new video for “Beast Of Gévaudan” HERE:

Once again created in cooperation with the honorable producer duo of Jens Bogren and Joost van den Broek, the masterpiece will open a new chapter in the band’s history on July 16, 2021. The eighth studio album will serve both old and newly recruited POWERWOLF devotees with well-known classic trademarks, and equally surprise and delight them at every stage of this wild 11-track ride!

Matthew Greywolf on Call Of The Wild:
“With Call Of The Wild, we are opening a new, exciting chapter in the history of POWERWOLF. The album sounds unmistakably like POWERWOLF and is so much more at the same time: Besides new territory like the Celtic instrumentation in “Blood for Blood (Faoladh)” or the ballad like “Alive or Undead” we have raised all our trademarks to a new level. Until now, we never sounded so powerful and wild – in the truest sense of the word. We can’t wait to finally share this beast of an album with you all!”

POWERWOLF Live 2021:On their upcoming tour, fans can not only expect brand new heavy metal anthems to be played and chanted along by thousands, but also the biggest and most epic production POWERWOLF has brought to the stage thus far, once again cementing their status as one of the most intense live bands.
