Latin metal legends ILL NIÑO have revealed a video for the new track “All or Nothing,” featuring a guest appearance by P.O.D. vocalist Sonny Sandoval, from the group’s forthcoming album, IllMortals.Watch “All or Nothing” now via Loudwire at this location.

“Like P.O.D., ILL NIÑO have always incorporated their culture, roots and heritage into their music and sound, which have set them apart in this metal scene for over two decades,” Sandoval says. “It was my honor and privilege to have contributed to this record. After knowing them for 20 years now, I don’t know why we didn’t do this sooner.”

Adds ILL NIÑO vocalist Marcos Leal, “‘All or Nothing’ was written as a challenge to myself. I knew the moment I joined ILL NIÑO I would face negativity, scrutiny and possibly ridicule. It caused me to question myself, and even question if I was good enough to embrace this opportunity. I challenged myself as I’m challenging all of you, what would you do if the opportunity of a lifetime was within your grasp? I chose to go ‘All or Nothing.’ I wanna thank one of my heroes, Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. for lending his freshness to this track and being a constant inspiration.”

The “All or Nothing” single will be available via digital music providers on May 14. ILL NIÑO debuted a new track, “Máscara,” featuring a guest performance from AJ Channer of Fire From The Gods along with vocalist Marcos Leal, this past December. ILL NIÑO’s IllMortals is slated for release this fall via Break Silence Music (BSM), which is distributed through ONE-RPM.Stronger than ever, ILL NIÑO’s revamped lineup now consists of original members bassist Laz Pina, drummer-founder Dave Chavarri, dominant frontman Marcos Leal (Shattered Sun), returning veteran percussionist Daniel Couto, crushing guitarists Jes DeHoyos (Sons Of Texas) and Sal Dominguez (ex-Upon A Burning Body).

New Jersey born ILL NIÑO has sold two million records worldwide and has shared stages around the globe with the likes of Linkin Park, Disturbed, Guns N’ Roses, Korn, P.O.D., Sevendust, Avenged Sevenfold and Godsmack. ILL NIÑO’s Top 10 single “How Can I Live” was featured single in on the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack.

ILL NIÑO will bring a dose of Latin metal to Texas this summer with the “Ill Texas Familia” tour, also featuring Upon A Burning Body (El Paso only), King 810, Incite, Evolution Empire and Born In Blood. Following the summer shows, ILL NIÑO will participate in Orlando’s Warlando Festival supporting metal masters Judas Priest and Blueridge Rockfest in Lynchburg, VA, the following day, featuring a monster lineup including Five Finger Death Punch, P.O.D., Sevendust, Limp Bizkit, and many more.

VOLA Release New Video ‘These Black Claws’ From Upcoming Album

VOLA will release their upcoming album Witness 21st May 2021 via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.

Watch the brand new video for These Black Claws here:

Witness comes nearly three years after the release of ‘Applause of a Distant Crowd,’ which saw the band go deep into the rabbit-hole, exploring society’s distractions from thoughtfulness and examined the way human relationships have evolved. Their new album goes a step further, shining a light on the subject of failed relationships, on a societal scale—the friction between leaders and followers, which is caused by the misuse of power.

“If I zoom in,” guitarist-singer Asger Mygind says. “The failure is born from unrequited love, grief, manipulative behaviour and insecurity. Connecting it with the album title, one could view the characters portrayed in the lyrics as being witnesses to the dissolution of the bond they have created with people in their lives.”

The album was produced by the band and it was mixed and mastered by the Grammy nominated Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, The Black Dahlia Murder, Amaranthe).

“These Black Claws” is a metaphor for addiction and the experience of being pulled back through the darkness and features electronic/hip-hop duo, SHAHMEN. Bless (vocalist in SHAHMEN) contributed all the lyrics for his verse. Mygind says, “I think his vocals contribute with a demonic vibe while adding groove to the track. The beat in the verse is very hip hop inspired, so putting rap on top feels like fulfilling the potential of that part.” The lyrics “One straw in the drain/One word that you failed to sustain” echoes over and over before the band rip into a Panzer heavy attack as the song spirals deep into a suffocating heaviness.

VOLA are Asger Mygind (vocals/guitar), Martin Werner (keys), Nicolai Mogensen (bass) and Adam Janzi (drums).

Aussie 80’s Thrashers NOTHING SACRED New Album “No Gods” Coming July 2021

One of the earliest Australian bands to play thrash/speed metal, NOTHING SACRED was conceived in Melbourne, Australia in 1983. Unleashing their debut EP “Deathwish” in early 1985, launching the band as one of the most sought-after pit makers with the record’s title track becoming a classic within the Australian metal scene. In 1988, the band unleashed their first full-length entitled “Let Us Prey” on Cleopatra Records. Unfortunately a year after the LP’s release, the band disbanded in 1989. Lead guitarist Mark Woolley, bassist Karl Lean and drummer Sham went on to contribute to Hobbs’ Angel of Death‘s early work in the late 1980s. Woolley also appeared on Hobbs’ first self-titled album in 1988. Vocalist Mick Burnham later joined short-lived Melbourne band Seizure in 1993.

Although their tenure was short-lived, Nothing Sacred still remains an underground metal phenomenon in Australia. Songs from the Deathwish EP still get airplay on several Australian metal radio programs.

In 2012, Nothing Sacred performed a series 30th anniversary shows with Ross Percy (Ion Drive, Little House Godz) joining George Larin on guitar that included a support slot for the ex-Iron Maiden vocalists Paul Di’Anno/Blaze Bayley Australian tour. Despite the success, the band agreed not to continue and returned to retirement.

In 2015, the band decided to re-activate with a lineup of Sham, Karl Lean, George Larin, Ross Percy, and new vocalist Chris Stark. A slot on Melbourne’s Brewtality Metal Festival received positive reviews before the band embarked on a short tour of Japan, which inspired them to continue and lead the band to headline day one of the Steel Assassins Festival in Sydney.

Line-up changes again slowed the band, but with the addition of James Davies now on vocals and Stu Bedford on guitar, the band spent most of 2019 and 2020 writing and recording, what is now to be their first full length in over 30 years. Entitled “No Gods”, the record is the Nothing Sacred’s resurrection to the thrash world. With a wealth of experience, a bucket load of riffs, and a renewed energy for one of Australia’s longest-running metal bands.

The band adds:
“We think our return with this new album will be received well. We’ve made a conscious effort to not be one-dimensional. We picked a cross-section of tracks we thought would make the album interesting. Though eight of the tracks are brand new, we decided to add two tracks ‘Final Crime’ and ‘Oracle’ we wrote for our 2nd album in the late 80’s, but never released.”

To give fans a preview of what’s to come, Nothing Sacred is sharing their music video for the first single “Final Crime”.

The band comments:
“This is one of the two tracks we’d chosen for the No Gods album from our archives that we’d written many moons ago. I saw acid rain and smog, you saw the sunset and a rainbow. There’s no tomorrow just a blank, you’ve only got yourself to thank. Don’t tell me that you never knew, you thought that hope would pull you through. I think those are our favorite lines from Mick Burnham. There’s nothing like stupid people doing nothing till it’s too late. Though this is one of our favorite tracks for some reason, it was never properly recorded and released. Here she is in all her glory, enjoy!”

Watch below the music video for “Final Crime”.

“No Gods” will be released on July 16, 2021 via Rockshots Records and available for pre-order at the following links:

DAWN RAY’D Release Two-Track ‘Wild Fire’, Lyric Video Premiered

DAWN RAY’D return with Wild Fire – a two track release due for release on May 7. Featuring two versions of the same song, constructed with alternative compositions and evoking different atmospheres, Wild Fire showcases the many facets of DAWN RAY’D.

The two tracks will be self released via Bandcamp on May 7 on 7” vinyl and cassette, and digitally via Prosthetic Records. Wild Fire I is bombastic black metal at its finest, whilst Wild Fire II embraces the most folk leanings of DAWN RAY’D. A lyric video for Wild Fire I is currently premiering via Decibel.

WATCH WILD FIRE I LYRIC VIDEO VIA DECIBEL.

Of the release, the band comments:
“For too long have we watched antisocial losers use cheap far-right shock tactics, shameful relics of the past, swastikas, dog whistles and other cowardly signifiers to which they have no claim, so as to inject a bit of life into otherwise unremarkable bands.”

“Why is it those bands, (of which we all know the names) when pressed, deny any far right leanings, hastily distance themselves from any sincere conviction, mumble apologies, insist there was some misunderstanding, or some other historical context?

Dawn Ray’d has done everything we can to make it as clear as possible what we believe, why we think the world should be better, and how we think we can get there. And one of the first jobs we have is to erase these parasites, cowards and bad actors from our communities: we are against fascism in all forms, now and forever. We make no apologies and will not concede one inch in our conviction and belief that people are good and need defending, everything for everybody, until this world is a good and fair place for everyone who is good and fair.

“Wild Fire is two versions of the same song, and I hope the lyrics ring out clear for themselves.

“Fuck all the coward bands that crumble when pressed, let’s together build the true black metal resistance!”

Wild Fire was recorded & mixed by Jason Taylor-Brown at Coastal Sounds, and then mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano at Orgone Studios. A performance of both tracks was premiered exclusively via Roadburn Redux last month.

DAWN RAY’D are currently writing the follow up to 2019’s Behold Sedition Plainsong, with recording and release dates still to be determined. Their back catalogue, including the reissue of debut EP, A Thorn, A Blight, is available to purchase now.

Wild Fire tracklist:
1. Wild Fire I
2. Wild Fire II
