The video podcast will feature both audio and four camera video production and each episode will be available on-demand. Hosted by Ellefson himself, his first episodes include Frank Bello (Anthrax/Altitudes & Attitude), Joey Vera (Armored Saint/Mercyful Fate) and Ellefson’s former Rust In Peace bass tech turned author-chiropractor Dr. Randall Kertz D.C., who’s book The Bassist’s Guide to Injury Management, Prevention and Better Health has become an industry go-to for medical remedies for musicians.

Links to the first episodes can be found here: A Doctor In The House (wth Dr. Randall Kertz D.C), Bass-ic Health (with Frank Bello & Joey Vera)

The video podcast was created with legendary Phoenix, AZ morning radio show host Dave “The Mayor” Pratt. Says Ellefson, “Dave (Pratt) and I have known each other for over three decades as he and I have done many on-air interviews at KUPD over the years. He really is the mayor of all things radio here in Phoenix, Arizona so I am honored to have a media home here with him.”

Says Dave Pratt, “As a long-time rock radio personality, I proudly have shared many successful years with my friend David Ellefson. It is appropriate that he founded Ellefson Coffee Co. as the metal icon is pure energy as a musician and an entrepreneur on many levels. Now, you get a backstage pass into David’s inner circle through a worldwide pro video podcast. Welcome to Backstage with David Ellefson on Star Worldwide Networks!”

Ellefson adds, “I’m aiming to have this podcast serve as a platform for fun and engaging conversations between friends and colleagues on a myriad of topics, both in and out of music. Nothing is off limits and I’m excited to see where our guests and topics will take the conversation.”

NEONFLY Release Brand New Lyric Video For “Beating Hearts”

Formed in 2008 as the brainchild of guitarist & composer Frederick Thunder and with two critically acclaimed albums under their belt, NEONFLY have carved a dynamic and distinctive career, touring as main support for some of rock’s biggest names, including Alice Cooper, Dragonforce, Anvil, Gamma Ray & Magnum and storming festival main stages worldwide. Their highly anticipated third album “The Future, Tonight”, featuring 10 heavy-yet-catchy modern rock anthems, allied with hard-hitting riffs, big-metal grooves and decidedly socially conscious lyrics, drops June 18th on Noble Demon.

Today, coming in the wake of the release of the album’s epic title track (listen HERE), the four-piece unleash a lyric video for new single “Beating Hearts”. The track demonstrates the musical variety of the new album with a gospel-tinged, rock orientated anthem & hook laden chorus. It’s “a song about not being afraid of being yourself, and not having to justify yourself for being different” as guitarist Frederick Thunder states. “It’s a song about following your heart and accepting your choices, regardless of what certain religious groups, social conventions or other people might dictate. It’s a song about passion, that celebrates alternative culture in all its manifestations: music, art, lifestyle, community… and it’s a song about overcoming any personal doubts you might have, and finding harmony within yourself.”

Watch the lyric video for “Beating Hearts” here:

For the stunning album artwork of “The Future, Tonight”,  Neonfly collaborated with renowned Korean artist NOMA (Noh Gyeong Hwan), whose artistic vision is perfectly in tune with the band’s. The video for “Beating Hearts” gives an intimate insight into the world of NOMA, showing him painting the portraits of each band member in his own distinctive style.

For more information about Noma check out his Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/artist_noma/

The album artwork, as well as the portraits of the band members, form part of NOMA’s “21st Century Mona Lisa” collection, who explains the idea behind it in the following statement:

“We are one of the many organisms that coexist in this modern era. However, we are potentially just one of the many 21st century’s expandable products that may disappear at any time. We live in a rapidly changing digital era, locked within an ever-repeating media reality that turns on and off under their direction. It is like being a lifeless pixel on a TV screen, essentially becoming one of the many tools that are used to shape and create the future. We always hide our feelings and goals from some unknown enemy who could appear at any time. Our crooked desires, greed, and the accompanying cries of injustice are hidden behind the veil of a warm and happy face, expressing itself only in a way of our choosing. But even when our hidden emotions are exposed, we choose to suppress and deny them, choosing instead to lock them up in a snare of reality. It is as if we were a machine, calculating the right words to say and expressions to reveal, never acknowledging or expressing our true feelings. Unlike how the warm smile of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa from the 15th century reflects suppression, I choose to freely express our repressed and restrained desires. That might just be the self-portrait of the 21st century that we are living in.”

Neonfly‘s new album “The Future, Tonight” will be out on June 18th via Noble Demon and is now available for pre-order or to pre-save to the library of your preferred streaming service HERE

Influenced by the rock & metal giants of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Alice In Chains, as well as the bands of today like Black Stone Cherry, Shinedown, Mastodon and Alter Bridge, CELLAR STONE are making their own statement in a characteristic way. Choruses that stick, a pandemonium of guitar harmonies and riffs and a rhythm section that grabs at you, the band is setting the scene and they won’t go unnoticed. Cellar Stone members have toured next to several famous acts such as UFO, Uriah Heep, Black Star Riders, Candlemass and Avatarium. In May 2020, the band released their debut album “One Fine Day” independently, receiving enthusiastic reviews by many highly esteemed magazines and websites (Powerplay UK 9/10 – Metal Temple US 9/10 – Hellfire Magazin DE 8,5/10 – Legacy DE 12/15 – Bleeding4Metal DE 8/10 ) while it was voted as 32nd best Hard Rock album of the year by Denim & Leather US.
