MEGADETH & LAMB OF GOD Co-Headline Tour Kicks Off Next Month With Special Guests TRIVIUM & HATEBREED

In just over a month, the must-see Metal Tour Of The Year co-headlined by MEGADETH and LAMB OF GOD will lay waste to cities across North America as the highly anticipated trek finally hits the road. Joining them as previously planned will be special guests TRIVIUM, however it has been announced today that due to international visa issues, special guests IN FLAMES will not be able to join the tour. Fans should not fear, joining the tour in their place will be none other than HATEBREED. Tickets and VIP packages for this most epic metal extravaganza are on-sale now from LiveNation.com.

MEGADETH, fueled by Dave Mustaine’s triumphant return to the stage following his diagnosis and recovery of throat cancer, will finally embark on their first North American tour since 2017. Speaking on the long-awaited announcement of the rescheduled run, MEGADETH’s leader and frontman, Dave Mustaine says,

“Can you hear that sound of armies on the march – of destruction on the horizon? That’s this tour, coming for you. We cannot wait to return to the stage and I promise you you do NOT want to miss these shows. You’re not going to know what hit you!”

LAMB OF GOD pressed ahead with the release of their crushing self-titled album, Lamb of God, which was one of the best- selling metal albums of 2020. The band now looks to take the show on the road as they return to the stage for the first time since the release of the record. Randy Blythe, inimitable frontman of LAMB OF GOD, adds,

“It’s been far too long since we got together to do our thing— by ‘we’ I mean bands, road crew, bus drivers, truck drivers, local venue staff, vendors, audience, parking lot attendants, the freaking janitors- the whole damn enchilada. ALL OF US. TOGETHER. Everyone has been waiting, but the time has come to put the puzzle back together— I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been more ready to hit the road with lamb of god. Produced by Live Nation, the epic, rescheduled tour will now kick off on Friday, August 20th in Austin, TX and hit a further 27 cities before wrapping in Quebec City, QC on Saturday, October 2nd . Full tour itinerary below.

MEGADETH Announce First Commercial Release Of Unplugged Concert Performed In 2001

It was one of the most unique and sought-after concert experiences in MEGADETH fandom – an intimate, scaled-down performance featuring Dave Mustaine & Co. on acoustic guitars stripping down their heavy metal anthems to their primal elements. These special engagements became the stuff of legend over the years and recordings of these performances were made available exclusively through the Megadeth fanclub. But now, the band have partnered with Los Angeles-based indie label Cleopatra Records to make this experience open to all with the first-ever commercial release of Unplugged In Boston, a spectacular acoustic concert recorded in 2001. 

Coming just on the heels of the band’s stylishly aggressive album The World Needs A Hero, the set list kicks off with one of that album’s best tracks, the turbulent “Dread And The Fugitive Mind” before launching into a string of older favorites including several from the 1997 album Cryptic Writings as well as an excerpt from “Holy Wars…The Punishment Due.” But Mustaine & gang save the best for last, closing the show with a superb one-two punch of “Moto Psycho,” Hero’s highest charting single, and the unforgettable “Symphony Of Destruction,” Megadeth’s mainstream breakthrough that still manages to get the audience’s blood pumping! WITHERED Announce Free Concert Stream for July 16th

Tortured blackened death metal machine WITHERED will be performing a virtual concert via Gimme Radio’s Gimme TV app this Friday, July 16 @ 7:00 P.M. EDT! SHOTGUN FACELIFT Sign Worldwide Deal with Eclipse Records, New LP Out December 17th

Eclipse Records is extremely excited to announce the signing of SHOTGUN FACELIFT to an exclusive worldwide deal! The band is from Grand Forks, ND (USA) and they were formed in 2012. The band just wrapped up production on their new full-length album Dakota Blood Stampede which is set for a worldwide release on December 17, 2021.

“We aren’t like a lot of other bands, and Eclipse Records digs that” says rhythm guitarist Matt Person. “They made us feel like it wasn’t just a good thing to put our music in their hands, but that it was the right thing to do. I couldn’t be more excited about the direction of our careers!” Vocalist John Huber adds, “we are excited to work with a label whose direction and mission statement so closely marries our own!” Drummer Jody Smith says, “when we talked with the label, they just really knew their stuff. The whole team works like mad so we can focus on making the music, and they can promote it.” Curt DeCamp who plays bass in the band says, “we put so much of ourselves into this music, and ECLIPSE puts so much of themselves into promoting it that all the energies just feel right, man,” while lead guitarist Damian Goulet adds, “As a musician, you grind your whole life for the opportunity to work with a label like Eclipse Records and bet your ass we won’t waste it!”

The band’s new full-length album Dakota Blood Stampede is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021. Produced by Tyler Pilot (Over You, Body By Torture, Anomic) at Red Dot Recording in Bismarck, ND.
