Cleopatra Records has announced the release date of May 14th, 2021 for the motion picture soundtrack to “BAPHOMET”, a Horror film from Writer-Director Matthan Harris. 

“BAPHOMET” tells the tale of an American family (the Richardsons) celebrating their daughter’s pregnancy, but things begin to go awry when Satanic cult leader, Henrik Brandr unexpectedly visits their ranch. Henrik offers to pay the family a large sum for ownership of their land, claiming it is sacred to his congregation. Jacob Richardson, the father, rejects the offer due to the sentimental value of his ranch. Henrik, displeased, begins to put curses on the Richardsons, trying to force them off of their own land – even if it means murdering them. After suffering unexplainable tragedies created by the curses, the Richardsons seek help from Marybeth, a white witch high priestess. They soon discover a terrible secret about their house, revealing why their land is so sacred to the cult. They realize that they must protect their house from the cult at all costs, and a violent battle between good and evil ensues.

The film stars Colin Ward (MANK, CRIMINAL MINDS), Giovanni Lombardo Radice (THE OMEN, CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD, CANNIBAL FEROX), Nick Principe (LAID TO REST, CHROMESKULL), Harris (GERMAN ANGST, FOR WE ARE MANY) and CRADLE OF FILTH frontman Dani Filth as Lon Carlson, an occultist and expert on witchcraft.

Iconic Hard Rockers CONEY HATCH Release “Live From The El Mocambo”

One of Canada’s most beloved and iconic hard rock bands , CONEY HATCH first rose to prominence back in the golden era when vinyl was king – and the preferred format of most music fans. 

So, it makes perfect sense for Coney Hatch – Carl Dixon (guitars/vocals), Andy Curran (bass / vocals ), Dave Ketchum (drums, vocals) and Sean Kelly (Guitar /vocals)  – to finally release their  first ever long awaited live record on a 2 LP vinyl set. The set list reads like a “best of” for any Coney fan including songs from their debut classic 1982 Anthem / Mercury album along with selections from “Outa Hand 1983, Friction 1985 and Coney Hatch Four 2017. Coney Hatch enjoyed major radio airplay success in Canada and the USA in the early 80’s and with the help of MTV landed many prestigious special guest slots touring along side Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Krokus, Accept, Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick, Peter Frampton, Triumph, The Tubes and Edgar Winter to name a few. They became instant press darlings with Kerrang Magazine & Sounds but didn’t actually tour overseas until 2014, where they headlined Firefest in Nottingham UK.

Avant-Garde entity THY CATAFALQUE will be releasing its tenth masterpiece, ‘Vadak,’ on June 25! The Hungarian mastermind is now unveiling the second new single, “Szarvas,” which can be heard at THIS LOCATION. The track is also available for pre-saving on all other digital platforms HERE.

Mastermind Tamás Kátai comments on the new album and track: “This is our second song from the album and it’s much darker in tone. Clean vocals are by Gábor Dudás from our fellow Hungarians, Reason and well, you can hear Martina as well somewhere in the background. She’ll be here in her full prime for the next song, I promise.“

EVILE Release Video For New Single “The Thing (1982)”

This Friday, April 30, 2021, will see British thrash metal heavy weights EVILE release their brand new studio album, entitled Hell Unleashed, via Napalm Records – the band’s first album in eight long years! Since their formation in 2004, EVILE have been turning heads and taking names, delivering four pure thrash offerings blended with an uncompromising death metal assault. Hell Unleashed, the long-awaited successor to their 2013 release Skull, will make no exception – but this time, the album features a new exciting line-up formation of Ol Drake on vocals/guitars and new member Adam Smith of RipTide as rhythm guitarist.

Today, the band has released a final single before the album drops – the thunderous new track “The Thing (1982)”! Intoxicating guitars build up to an unconditional, heavy storm of thrash metal: “The Thing (1982)” and its razor-sharp arrangement delivers another rousing aspect of EVILE’s new album. “The 3rd and final single from Hell Unleashed is not only based on my favourite movie of all time but it’s a strong contender for my favourite song off the album. Hell Unleashed is a raucous and masterful thrash metal attack! In just 41 minutes, the album unchains the unbridled forces of hell, catches some rousing demons of the past, and provides classical thrash metal with a contemporary yet hard-edged touch. The newly staffed four-piece strikes again on nine explosive tracks, leaving nothing but a hammering world of sound taken apart by thrash. “This is the first album EVILE have done to include a cover song in the tracklisting. I’ve been a big fan of death metal for a long time, and seeing as this album is on the more extreme side of thrash vocally and musically, we thought it was a perfect opportunity to cover Mortician‘s ‘Zombie Apocalypse’. It has one of the greatest riffs in it!

We’re also very excited about the return of the legendary Michael Whelan (Sepultura, Obituary, Stephen King) as cover artist. He did the art for our second album and he’s always a pleasure to work with.”

THE CHIMPZ Release New Music Video ‘Corrupt’

Hailing from Los Angeles,CA,  THE CHIMPZ have brought their driving, rock hopping genre sound to the masses. 

THE CHIMPZ are back again and they are celebrating the ten year anniversary of their EP “Who Can I Trust” which was released back in 2011.  Recorded, mixed, arranged, and produced by Ryan Green at Crush Recording.  They celebrate the anniversary with the release of their new video “Corrupt” filmed at Tiger Lab studios anddrone footage by Neal Walter.  

About the song:  The Chimpz are a product of our environment.  We live in a Corrupt society where there are no rules. “Bad Apple cause I’m made that way each and every day. it feels natural to say I’m Corrupt”
