NERO DI MARTE Announce New Line-Up

Italian experimentalists of NERO DI MARTE are now revealing their brand new (live) line-up! Guitar player Francesco D’Adamo and bass player Andrea Burgio have decided to part ways with the band due to personal reasons. Alessio Cattaneo will take over axe duties and Georgio Figà Talamanca will present on bass from now on. NERO DI MARTE are furthermore announcing their addition to the mighty Roadburn Redux Festival  which will take place on April 16-18. The band will be performing the tracks ‘L’Arca’ and ‘Sisyphos’ with the new line-up.

Front man Sean Worrel comments on the change: “Francesco and Andrea have decided to step down from having an active role within Nero di Marte. Their reasoning and decisions have been long thought out and were not driven by either conflict or creative divergences, but rather by different priorities in their life. Both of course continue to be our best friends and we have all expressed our desire to collaborate in creating more music for Nero together, in some form, when the time is right. It’s impossible to put into words what these years together have been like. I feel lucky to have met them by chance through our common musical sensibilities, but the relationship we have is one of the most meaningful in my life. However, the present and future of the band is bright and erupting with creativity. As we moved our headquarters from Bologna to Rome last year, we’ve had the opportunity to add two incredibly talented, creative, thoughtful people to the project. Alessio Cattaneo (Onryo) and Giorgio Talamanca (HateLimbs) joined the band during the course of 2020, both having an exceptionally deep understanding of the band’s music and bringing much welcomed new ideas and energy to the fold, propelling the band in very promising new territories…We are excited (and very honoured) to present the new line-up, performing songs from Immoto, at the Roadburn Festival online event in April! Please look forward to it.“

ACCEPT Announce “Too Mean To Die” European Tour

ACCEPT have been flying the flag of classic metal for decades, and with their latest album, “Too Mean To Die”, they have once again proven themselves to be international chart stormers with top 10 placings worldwide.

Now, after a long absence due to Corona, they are proud to announce they will finally be returning to European stages in 2022, with their usual driving energy full of irrepressible power. They will be playing the new album “Too Mean To Die” and the ACCEPT classics.

Watch the tourtrailer here:

For decades, ACCEPT have stood for pure metal, great melodies and unforgettable live moments. Their three exceptional guitarists will undoubtedly transform audiences into a surging mass and blow the virus into oblivion.

Because, according to Wolf Hoffmann: “We are too mean to die! Weeds do not die! ACCEPT won’t let it get them down!“

Philip Shouse adds: “The best thing that will happen for us is to go to the airport, get on a plane, fly to you and play a big, fantastic gig“.

The words say it all, because ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ is not only an outstanding song from the new record, it also sums up the current situation – things can only get better.

ACCEPT will be supported in Europe by none other than PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS, who unforgettably brought venues around the world to boiling point with MOTÖRHEAD and stands for pure Rock N Roll, because even without Lemmy (R.I.P.), Phil has the controls set to 12 or 13!

The US speed/thrash wrecking ball veterans FLOTSAM & JETSAM complete the billing and can’t wait to play the stages to the ground.

PENTESILEA ROAD Release New Single + Video “Shades Of The Night” Feat. Ray Alder

PENTESILEA ROAD is a post-progressive rock band, originally formed as a one-man solo project of the Italian guitarist Vito F. Mainolfi in 2014. Until 2019, the band published several demos, mostly instrumental, over SoundCloud and BandCamp.

The first full-length album “Pentesilea Road” was released on February, the 26th 2021. The band’s name is a reference to Pentesilea, the diluted city described in Italo Calvino’s book “Invisible Cities”.

Watch the video below.

The album was recorded as a long-distance collaboration of several musicians, each one recording in the Country of residence, due to COVID-19 pandemic (Guitars/Bass recorded in the Netherlands, Vocals in Italy and Spain, Keys in Italy, Drums in Italy and USA). The musical style is a contamination of a few genres, including clear influences from the Progressive, Post-Rock and Metal areas.

The album is self-produced and the band is independent and unsigned and was initially released only in digital version (the first physical batch was ready by release date).

Pentesilea Road are:
Vito F. Mainolfi – Guitars, Bass, Backing Vocals, Programming & whatever else
Ezio di Ieso – Pianoforte & Keyboards
Alfonso Mocerino – Drums
Lorenzo Nocerino – Vox

Special Guests:

Ray Alder – Vox on Shades of the Night, Noble Art
Mark Zonder – Drums on Memory Corners, Spectral Regrowth, Give Them Space
Michele Guaitoli – Vox on Stains
Paul Prins – First solo on Give Them Space

Saudi Arabian SONGS OF PETRICHOR Release Video For Single “Nomad”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 6, 2021

L-R – Shaharyar Hamdani (Vocals, Guitar), Omair Soomro (Drums, Lyrics), Yousuf Masood (Guitar, Bass)

Progressive grunge rock trio Songs of Petrichor released their debut single “Nomad” this past March in preview to their self-titled album coming November 2021 via Sound of Wall Records.

Today, the band is sharing the music video for the track, shot in the desert sands of their home country of Saudi Arabia.

The video for “Nomad” can be viewed below.

A nostalgic, melancholic revival of influenced 70’s prog, 90’s grunge, and South Asian classical music, Songs of Petrichor has fused a refreshing sound from the Middle East. With all members of the band being multi-instrumentalists, the crafting of songs has always taken an interesting approach with each of them having mutual respect for each other’s instrumentation.

Admitting that they are first and foremost a live experience, Songs of Petrichor’s true chemistry comes to life when adding improvisation to their stage performance, but in the meantime, with lockdowns around the globe, they feel it is necessary to allow the public to enjoy this chapter of their sonic adventure until then.

Songs of Petrichor‘s goal with “Nomad” and the forthcoming record is to take listeners on a journey of rain-induced sentiment, strong emotions, and adoration for the classic yet modern love of rock. On “Nomad”, fans will hear SOP find their own voice while still demonstrating a unique and relatable sound.

“‘Nomad’ was inspired by our drummer Omair’s thoughts of not belonging anywhere and constantly moving on. The song is open to interpretation as either a narrative of a literal ‘nomad’ or as a metaphor of one whose journey is akin to that of a nomad. The song holds themes of not belonging to a single location, perseverance, moving on, pain, loss, vengeance and yet finds space for hope. It is an Oriental Grunge song with elements of Progressive Rock.” adds the band.

Digital stream and download for “Nomad” is available at the following links:

Florida death metal legend Terry Butler (OBITUARY, DEATH, MASSACRE, SIX FEET UNDER) has joined up with fellow former MASSACRE members Jeramie Kling (also of VENOM INC, THE ABSENCE, GOREGÄNG) on drums/vocals and Taylor Nordberg (THE ABSENCE, GOREGÄNG) on guitar to form INHUMAN CONDITION.

New on the scene, the group is set to release their debut album, “Rat God” on June 4th.  The trio previously announced their partnership with Blood Blast Distribution to release the album on digital formats, a vinyl deal with Black Serpent Records (set for an August 6th release), and will self-release the CD via Kling/Nordberg‘s “Listenable Insanity Records”, as well as several licensing deals with labels world-wide to release additional CDs.

The music for “Rat God” was written by Kling and Nordberg in the fall of 2019, when they were writing for what was to be a new MASSACRE album.  The pair left the group the following year and teamed up with Terry Butler to form INHUMAN CONDITION to release the music.  The album (along with 5 other songs to be released at a later time), features three guest solos by Rick Rozz (DEATH, MANTAS, MASSACRE), and guest lyrics/vocal patterns by CANNIBAL CORPSE drummer and lyricist, Paul Mazurkiewicz.  “Rat God” was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kling/Nordberg at their own Smoke & Mirrors Productions in Spring Hill, Florida. Artwork for the album was done by Dan Goldsworthy (ACCEPT, CRADLE OF FILTH, ALESTORM, XENTRIX).

Track list:

  1. Euphoriphobia
  2. The Neck Step
  3. Planetary Paroxysm
  4. Killing Pace
  5. Gravebound
  6. Tyrantula
  7. Rat God
  8. Crown Of Mediocrity
  9. Fait Accompli
