BAND OF SPICE Release ‘By The Corner Of Tomorrow’ Lyric Video

BAND OF SPICE have released a lyric video for the song ‘By the Corner of Tomorrow’, taken from the upcoming new album of the same name, out on March 26, 2021 on Scarlet Records.

This is how Spice commented: “It’s about a sweet memory from Pelekas (Greece) around 1992, 1993, when I spent a night on the beach, waiting for the rise of the sun surrounded by stray dogs. It is also about that we hide and pay in this wheel of constant pretence.”

Watch the video here:

Since the brilliant Spiritual Beggars came on the hard’n’heavy scene in the mid-90’s, Spice’s voice and charisma have always been synonyms with fine songwriting, rock attitude and a bittersweet touch of melancholy. ‘By the Corner of Tomorrow’, the band’s new album, is the first that he recorded in standard tuning, aiming for a more “resilient” sound. The iconic cover artwork was once again made by Luca “Solo Macello” Martinotti (Ennio Morricone, Black Rainbows, Sadist).

Grammy Award-winning four-piece GRETA VAN FLEET are debuting their latest track “Broken Bells,” an anthem intended to inspire; listen/share HERE.

“Broken Bells is what the fetter of society does to impact a pure and innocent soul. Our intention is to remove the obligation of generational synthetic expectations; break down these walls and not build new ones,” explains the band’s Sam Kiszka.

The track is from the group’s highly anticipated new LP, The Battle at Garden’s Gate, due April 16 via Lava/Republic. It follows previously released album tracks “My Way, Soon” (the band’s fifth #1 single at Active Rock,) “Heat Above” and “Age of Machine.” Pre-order the album HERE, and more info on the album website HERE.

The band’s sophomore record, The Battle at Garden’s Gate reflects heavily on the individual members’ personal and spiritual growth during their rapid rise, going from touring the grimy rock bars of Detroit and Saginaw to headlining shows on five continents and selling over one million tickets in just three years. The album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Greg Kurstin (Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Adele). “There was a lot of self-evolution happening during the writing of this album that was prompted by experiences I had, experiences we all had,” explains vocalist Josh Kiszka. “It’s reflecting a lot of the world that we’ve seen, and I think that it’s reflecting a lot of personal truth,” says guitarist Jake Kiszka.

“Certainly after this, we’ve grown in so many ways,” Josh explains. “This album has taught us a lot, about life in general, about ourselves, about all of us, about the world we live in.”

Forming in Frankenmuth, Michigan back in 2012, Greta Van Fleet consists of three brothers, vocalist Josh Kiszka, guitarist Jake Kiszka, bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka, as well as drummer Danny Wagner. Together they have performed across multiple continents, sold over two million albums worldwide, performed on “Saturday Night Live,” “The Tonight Show,” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” topped the Billboard U.S. Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts with their debut single “Highway Tune” in 2017, won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2019 for From the Fires, and reached #1 on the Billboard charts with their debut full length Anthem of the Peaceful Army in 2018.

In conjunction with the track release, an exclusive limited-edition tie dye vinyl is launching globally and is available in the band’s merch store; more info HERE.

LAMB OF GOD have premiered the official video for “Memento Mori (Live)” from the Lamb of God: Live in Richmond, VA DVD, which is part of the upcoming CD+DVD, due out March 26th via Nuclear Blast. The live track is also available now to stream on all DSPs here.

The video, which was filmed in the band’s native Richmond, VA, for a September 2020 livestream, is available today on Youtube the band’s website at http://lamb-of-god.com.

Pre-orders for Lamb Of God – Live In Richmond, VA are available now. The set features a live version of the critically acclaimed 2020 release with two bonus tracks, along with a DVD featuring the first of LAMB OF GOD‘s two ultra-successful livestream events from the fall. Pre-order “Lamb Of God – Live In Richmond, VA” here: http://nblast.de/LOG-LiveInRichmond

In addition to performing Lamb Of God in its entirety, the performance features an encore of four songs including “Ruin,” “Contractor,” “512,” and the debut live performance of “The Death Of Us,” a new song the band wrote and recorded in quarantine for the Bill & Ted Face The Music movie and soundtrack. The DVD also includes a new director’s cut with bonus material.
Digital copies will contain only the selftitled album and live version. A separate vinyl edition of Lamb Of God – Live From Richmond, VA will also be available.

The first single from Lamb Of God Live In Richmond, VA, “Ghost Shaped People,” has already received a response equal to the fervent reception the original release received last June, holding at number one on the Metal Contraband metal radio chart for four weeks in a row.

Lamb Of God, the quintet’s first new album in five years, was met with universal acclaim upon release – not only among major rock journalists, but with all strata of metal fans around the world.

But critics, media and the industry aside, perhaps the most telling statistic is the year-end US Metal Radio chart, where the new album dominated at #1 by a massive margin (over 2,000 more spins than the album at #2).  Lamb Of God spent nine weeks in the #1 spot and never left the top 10 since debuting on the chart in February. Metal Radio is the lifeblood of the US metal world, largely staffed by college students and regional tastemakers, playing the music that they know their local metal fans want to hear.

While concerts and cheering crowds seem to be a long lost echo from the past these days, melancholic progressive metallers AMORPHIS bring back some of the life and uncomparable energy that many of us have been missing so desperately. Recorded during a special hometown show that took place on December 7th, 2019, little did the Finns know that this would be one of their last concerts before the pandemic outbreak in early 2020. With 15 tracks in total and a running time of over one and a half hours,AMORPHIS take you on a journey through their past, showcasing their best songs from the last 30 years that saw the band turn into one of Finland’s finest metal exports.

“Helsinki Ice Hall, what can I say… the very same venue where we used to see bands like Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Metallica and many many more back in the 80’s when we were kids”, Tomi Koivusaari contemplates when thinking of the show. “I’m sure we all dreamed about playing there someday. In our hometown Helsinki, where it all started with AMORPHIS 30 years ago. So I’d say we had a special feeling at that gig, the last one of the tour in Finland for that year. I guess this recording is a very honest picture of us playing live, nothing is fixed afterwards, except mightily mixed and mastered of course. When I listened to it a while ago, I realized how much I miss playing live. And yet we have no idea when it will be possible next, in this crazy situation with Covid and all… So, stay healthy, take care and shine on you all, see you hopefully soon on tour.  We will.”

“Live At Helsinki Ice Hall” will be available as 2CD digipak and download/stream. The 2LP version of this show is exclusively available in the “Vinyl Collection 2006 – 2020″ boxset, also out on May 21st.

Joe Bonamassa is one of the most celebrated performing musicians of today. Hailed internationally as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation, Guitar World has honoured him as “the world’s biggest blues guitarist.” The two-time GRAMMY-nominated artist has almost single-handedly redefined the blues-rock genre and brought it into the mainstream. Joe recently received his 24th #1 album on the Billboard Blues Chart with the studio album “Royal Tea”, a nod to his British heroes, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.

Amidst the pandemic, Joe performed the“Royal Tea” album in entirety before its release last September at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville with over 17,000 virtual tickets sold, reaching 44 different countries. The event also raised over $32,000 for Bonamassa’s Fuelling Musicians Program, presented by his non-profit Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation (KTBA). Now Joe is ready to hit the stage again for an even more exciting, fan-curated experience at Austin City Limits Live. Each ticket purchase for the livestream will include a $1 donation to ‘Fueling Musicians’.

Bonamassa has been working hard to raise money for musicians affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The Fuelling Musicians program is an emergency relief fund designed to support musicians by providing immediate cash payments for essential living expenses of $1,500 to help them stay afloat and get back on the road again when it is safe. To date, they have raised over $380,000 and distributed the money to over 230 artists. In fact, they are getting checks delivered to some folks who have yet to even receive their support from the government stimulus. As someone who has spent most of his life on the road, Joe knows the clear and evident impact of the crisis on his entertainment community. For those interested in donating, visit HERE.

While much of the applause Bonamassa receives should be credited to his sheer talent, some part of his success needs to be attributed to Joe and his business partner for having the foresight and ability to become some of music’s savviest entrepreneurs. Bonamassa now 43, and his partner Roy Weisman have together devised a 360-degree independent business model that has survived and thrived during one of the music industry’s most uncertain eras, particularly considering the challenges created by the current pandemic.

CALIBAN Release “Intoleranz” Song And Video

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 19, 2021

It took German metalcore vets, CALIBAN recording a cover of Rammstein’s “Sonne” to realize that their native tongue was a seamless fit with their time-tempered collision of punishing riffs and Andreas Dörner’s urgent vocals. With fans hungry for the Essen-borne quintet to record an album exclusively in German, the band simply said: “Why not?” and “Zeitgeister” was born.

Today the band is releasing the first song and video clip for “Intoleranz“, The original, “Intolerance”, was released on their classic debut album “A Small Boy In A Grey Heaven”. Check out CALIBAN’s 2021 take on the song and the matching video clip that was directed by Michael Winkler for Der Pakt:

Andreas Dörner (vocals) about the song and video: “The song was originally called ‘Intolerance’, it is a very old track from ‘A Small Boy In A Grey Heaven’. In a nutshell the motto is: I will stay different. The song is a plea for individualism and individual fulfilment and against intolerance.”

11 genre-defining LPs deep into their career, the band’s vision for the album came naturally – a career retrospective and deep-dive into CALIBAN favorites that haven’t had a live airing in some time.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, but once we allowed us to make them as different from the originals as we felt it was needed it came fairly naturally”, explains guitarist and main songwriter Marc Görtz. Of course, some updating was necessary when it came to translating the songs to German. “It turned out to be surprisingly tricky,” says Dörner. “While I feel more at home with my native German it made it a lot more complicated, as I had more options to phrase something.”

Formed in 1997, CALIBAN’s legacy has been a tireless one, touring the globe and sharing stages with the likes of Kreator, Killswitch Engage and Dark Tranquillity just to mention a few “Zeitgeister” was a welcome homecoming. With the help of long-running producer Benjamin Richter (Moonspell, Emil Bulls and more) CALIBAN hand-picked seven tracks to bring new life to:

“Trauma“ (feat. Matthi from Nasty, originally “Arena Of Concealment”)
“Herz” (originally “I Will Never Let You Down”)
“Ausbruch nach Innen“ (originally “Tyranny Of Small Misery”)
“Feuer, zieh’ mit mir“ (originally “Between The Worlds”)
“Nichts ist für immer“ (originally “All I Gave”)
“Intoleranz“ (originally “Intolerance”)
“Mein Inferno” (originally “My Little Secret”)
“Zeitgeister” also boasts a new track, “nICHts”

“Zeitgeister” will be released May 14th, 2021 and is available in various formats. First presales incl. bundles are already online: https://caliban.lnk.to/ZeitgeisterPR
