JOHNNY THUNDERS is a true punk rock legend. He shot to stardom as a founding member of the iconic NEW YORK DOLLS. After a stint with the Dolls he then went on to for his own band Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers.  Thunders sadly lost his life in 1991 aged just 38, but his legacy lives on to this day. Thunders was one of the true Godfathers of the US Punk scene.

Golden Robot Records / Die Laughing Records have released a live single Chinese Rocks, which is taken from the upcoming live album; Cosa Nostra: Live At The Mudd Club 1983 Gothenburg, which will be available as limited edition vinyl and on all streaming platforms.

ABOUT JOHNNY THUNDERS

Born in Queens, NY in 1952, he fell in love with rock ’n’ roll at a young age and turned his back on a potentially successful baseball career to start the legendary New York Dolls; the band that spawned hundreds of other hopeful rock ’n’ roll bands.

When the New York Dolls folded, JT and drummer Jerry Nolan went back to New York’s budding punk rock scene to start the Heartbreakers; an iconic band if there ever was one.

Their raw, wild and ‘dirty’ sound became engraved in the minds of all those young punks and it’s fair to say they were more than a major influence on the London punk scene.​

Over the years the Heartbreakers toured on and off and they always kept that magic from the early days. Everybody remembers ‘Chinese Rocks’, ‘Born to lose’ and other gems embedded in our hearts and minds forever.

Solo, Johnny Thunders showed a vulnerable, deeply sensitive and poetic side to his rocker persona, with masterpieces like ‘Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory’, and ‘So Alone’.

Whatever his personal circumstances and demons he had to fight, he never lost his love for rock ’n’ roll, his unique personal sense of style or signature sound; that influenced so many.​

JT just can’t leave anyone indifferent, and that continues to this day, even after his untimely passing, at age 38, in New Orleans, a sad day for music.

Johnny Thunders and the ‘Cosa Nostra’ performance is the full length recording at The Mudd Club in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 16, 1983.

German heavy metallers REINFORCER have signed a multi-album deal with Scarlet Records.

With their first full-length album ‘Prince of the Tribes’, coming out in June, Reinforcer go one step further on the path that they started in 2015 and reached its first peak in 2018 with the release of the well acknowledged debut-EP ‘The Wanderer’.

The five piece from Paderborn combines classic heavy metal with an epic power metal approach and takes the listeners on a journey full of dual lead guitars and heroic melodies. The impressive, clean yet powerful vocals by frontman Logan Lexi are the appropriate weapon to tell stories from different historical eras and events, all supported by the thunderous drum work with a large amount of double bass action that gives the band the necessary speed.

Hardcore Act COURT ORDER Sign Worldwide Deal With Extreme Management Group, New Album Coming

Extreme Management Group (EMG), home to bands like Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Rings of Saturn, and more, has announced their partnership with hardcore band COURT ORDER.

COURT ORDER is a hardcore/deathcore band from Brooklyn, NY that formed in February 2019, and began touring relentlessly sharing the stage with Left Behind, Bodysnatcher, Ingested, Falsifier, and Slaughter to Prevail.  

Court Order brings dissonant riffs blended with heavy metallic aggression, smashed alongside brutal grooves, delivered by a dual seven string baritone assault and upbeat tempos. Paralleled with double bass, two step, and occasional blast beats; Court Order aims to deliver a battle ground for a supreme and atmospheric auditory experience. With a wide range of influences, the band dishes out compact song lengths; a great testament to the band’s efficiency. Highlighting the best of what fans crave when spending a weekend retreat at This Is Hardcore or FYA Festivals.

Court Order self released the self-titled EP in August 2020, then inked a Worldwide Deal with Extreme Management Group in December 2020. The band has recently released the follow up “Split Between A Dream And A Failure”, a two song release, with Blood Blast Distribution (powered by Nuclear Blast Records) and has been featured in Sick Drummer Magazine.

Court Order is currently at work on a full-length album, which will feature a collection of ten tracks aimed to elevate their animated, impactful sound.

Now the band has signed with Extreme Management Group, and had the following to say about the partnering, “We are excited to partner with EMG and take this band to a new level! When we started Court Order we were excited to play a few shows and get in the studio to develop songs we liked, and worked on the band as if it were an art project; an outlet for us to be creative and have fun. KRUK To Release New Studio Album ‘Be There’ In April, First Single Unleashed

Metal Mind Productions is proud to announce the release of the fifth full-length album ‘Be There’ by the best Polish hard rock band – KRUK. The album includes 8 songs recorded with a guest vocalist – Wojtek Cugowski (known from the very successful Polish rock band Bracia). The release date is set up for 14th April 2021.

Kruk’s music certainly draws inspiration from classic hard rock music and Artists like Deep Purple or Rainbow. Metal Shock Finland’s Exclusive Premiere: THE RAINBIRD – New Video “Girls On Fire”

Italian hard rockers THE RAINBIRD have teamed up with Metal Shock Finland to premiere worldwide the band’s new video “Girls On Fire“, taken from the band’s upcoming album ‘Queen takes King‘, sung entirely by Michael Vescera, former singer of Yngwie Malmsteen, Loudness, Obsession. The album is set to be released on March 26th, via Volcano Records.

Under the hard rock influences of the 70-80s, THE RAINBIRD was born in 1998. After few years of performing in clubs, in 2002 the band entered the studio to record their first EP titled “Assassin’s night” containing six tracks. In 2010 they returned to the studio to record their self-produced debut album “The tiger dreams” containing 12 unreleased tracks. “It is the passion that animates the deeds of an absolutely worthy reality both from the point of view of the artistic qualities put in place and as regards the underlying values expressed in the project” (Rock Hard). After the promotion of their album The Rainbird take a long standby period until 2018. The band decides to return to the studio with a radical change in the line-up. “Queen takes King” is their new album sung entirely by Michael Vescera, former singer of Yngwie Malmsteen, Loudness, Obsession.

Almost everyone you know has seen a concert that has moved them. Those productions can take over 100+ traveling crew members to set up by the time doors open.

Before and during the show they sweat and hustle to get everything ready. After the show they spend more hours erasing evidence that they were ever there at all. Many of these key players work an average of 20 hour days, then move on to the next city to make it happen all over again.

Many of these crew members, “roadies,” have been doing this as a career for decades. Some of these roadies, while experts in this field, have never had any other job experience. Since the world pandemic, well over a hundred thousand of these people are left with no income and no financial assistance.

There are no concerts or live events for the foreseeable future. At the beginning of 2020, job opportunity ceased to exist and 2021 remains uncertain. Many are unable to claim unemployment as their expert level trade skills are not recognized and they do not qualify. This on-going problem is leaving 100s of roadies without a secure livelihood.

The government has fallen short. Contacting congressmen and women, senators, and governors to raise the issue has been met with no resolution. Their replies are a formal brush-off and roadies are left hitting a dead end.

The goal with this gofundme is to offer some relief to some of the dedicated people in the roadie community. Just like you, they have families, mortgages, car payments, and day care. Commonly these workers lean on their savings between tour cycles, but those funds have run thin or run out. Please donate if you can, every little helps.
