DEPTHS OF HATRED have released Pulsating Rhythm, the fourth single from their upcoming new album, Inheritance, due out on March 19. Pulsating Rhythm showcases the Canadian quintet’s signature blistering modern death metal sound, alongside their newfound penchant for memorable chorus hooks, as William Arseneau’s vocal acrobatics crisply alternate between anger and melody.

Inheritance is available to pre-order here.

Stream Pulsating Rhythm via Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

Talking on Pulsating Rhythm‘s themes, the band comment, “Pulsating Rhythm describes the night where our protagonist’s view on life is forever altered. Witnessing an unforgivable act, he learns to replicate what he thinks is affection”

Keeping production duties in house and allowing themselves to work at their own pace has resulted in a polished, mature sounding collection of songs, which was then mixed and mastered at The Grid Studio by Christian Donaldson (Beneath The Massacre, Shadow Of Intent).

A progressive slant to their rejuvenated sound means that they have stayed true to their definitive death metal roots, yet allowed themselves the opportunity to open up and explore metalcore and beyond. With ambitions to take their new material on the road as soon as they are able to do so, DEPTHS OF HATRED have every intention of making this fresh start really count.

Inheritance track list

1. Enslaved Through Lineage
2. Sadistic Trials
3. Pulsating Rhythm
4. Fastidious Imitation
5. Drop Of Red
6. Illusive Obsession
7. The Gift Of Consciousness
8. Shivers
9. Inheritance
10. The End Of Ourselves
11. Emerging As One

Sydney, Australia punk rockers PLANTS have just released their new EP Vacuumed Half to Deaf via Riot Records. The 7 track EP highlights their tongue in cheek humour coupled with an infectious Punk attitude.

Listen to the first single, Friend HERE

Vacuumed Half to Deaf is the second EP from PLANTS and urther diversifies the band’s sound. The title – Vacuumed Half to Deaf – stemmed from a funny incident in which a cleaning lady began to vacuum the studio live room whilst the band was still tracking. Putting the concept to artist and friend Jaben Betz (Pineapple Stickers Art), the stunning artwork was brought to life and the idea of the EP solidified.

Vacuumed Half to Deaf was recorded in their typical style – the whole band live in the room with no click track, and additional guitars and vocal layers added in post. From the fuzzy stoner rock of Stoned At Breakfast, to upstroking ska-punk tune Friend, or the classic Aussie punk-rock vibes on Say It To My Face – this band is not afraid to show their variety of influences. Lyrically, the bands’ laid-back Aussie humour seeps through in almost every track.

The three piece band PALESKIN, with a love for Trap and Alternative Rock, have released their debut album Joy Is Temporary, Pain Is Constant.

“Joy Is Temporary, Pain Is Constant is about all the pessimism you get from years of depression and anxiety, nothing seems to get you forward and when you get some kind of feeling of joy it gets taken away from you in seconds just to leave you in your own head of dark thoughts once again” // PALESKIN

It took about 6 months to write all the songs for the album which was recorded in Casper’s (Song) living room and everything from the album is the most honest thing the band has written. With influences from dark and heavy music combined with emotional lyrics, trap beats and ambient soundscapes PALESKIN have developed a new, modern sound.

Tracklist

  1. Joy Is Temporary
  2. Sometimes (I Kill Myself)
  3. Funeral Dreams
  4. Leech (Won’t Let Go)
  5. Yellow Ceiling
  6. Never Exist
  7. Death Of Me
  8. Where The Light Fades
  9. Leaving
  10. Pain Is Constant

PALESKIN from Sweden started off as a duo consisting of songwriter/producer Adrian Bellan and singer/songwriter Casper Frisk. With their influences from dark and heavy music they started to combine different elements to create their own sound, which they manage to do due to their past with their old band Heartaches and their love for dark hiphop/trap. The duo became a three-piece band when guitarist Jimmy Fransèn joined from their previous band Heartaches to make the band complete. With emotional lyrics and vocals combined with trap beats and ambient soundscapes, PALESKIN have developed a modern and new sound.

Iranian OUT OF NOWHERE Premiere New Single ‘Blind Crow’

Mashad, Iran-based djent/metalcore band OUT OF NOWHERE has regularly been releasing music and playing live shows since 2010 regardless of the risk of being arrested by the oppressive regime.

Their newest single “Blind Crow” is well supplied with suspense, apocalyptic surroundings, violent breakdowns, glass-shattering screams, and syncopated riffs. Crossing the borders of metalcore, djent, alternative rock, and prog, the track upholds the Iranian revolutionists’ ever-evolving sonic dexterity.

Premiered at MetalSucks (read full-feature RIGHT HERE), “Blind Crow” is available on all major digital platforms.

Stream/Download it AT THIS LOCATION.

In regards to the struggle they face being in a country where metal music is illegal and bands often get arrested for playing live or making music, Out of Nowhere informs:

“Being a metal musician in Iran is a big risk. Starting from the overpriced rare instruments to the risk of being arrested each second. We played some sold-out shows but the risk of being arrested is with us even right now when I’m writing this. It’s a big crime and if they arrest you, there will be years of prison or even in some cases execution for us.

“But we are born to do this, so we accept the risk and do what we love to do.”

Jeris Johnson and BRING ME THE HORIZON team up for remix “Can You Feel My Heart”.

Mere months ago, Jeris reworked the Bring Me The Horizon track on TikTok.  With an increased tempo, original lyrics, and Jeris’s signature vocal prowess, the remix quickly found its way to Oliver Skyes of Bring Me The Horizon.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it until my last dying breath. The power of TikTok and the internet is unmatched. This just keeps happening to me over and over again and I feel like people are really starting notice what we’re doing to the music industry. The fact that I could post a remix of “Can You Feel My Heart” and wake up with Oliver Sykes in my DMs is mind blowing. Rock has been stuck in the mud for too long and doing shit like this is part of what’s gonna bring it into the fucking future. ” – Jeris Johnson

Listen to “Can You Feel My Heart” HERE.

The release comes in the wake of Jeris Johnson’s My Sword debut EP.  With six stellar tracks of raw energy, gritty melodies and unapologetic emotions,  Jeris is cementing himself as a one-to-watch as he redefines genres, pushes boundaries and creates a whole new sonic wave.  Coined ‘future grunge,’ Jeris Johnson is already breaking into unchartered territory with the construction of his own genre.  Check out My Sword HERE.

The bold and burgeoning artist also recently released “Last Resort (Reloaded)” with Papa Roach.  Celebrating the 20th anniversary of certified triple platinum hit “Last Resort,” Jeris Johnson & Papa Roach united to breathe new life into a legendary track, which quickly made its way to #1 on both the Rock iTunes Chart and the Billboard Hard Rock Chart.  Jeris and Jacoby bring their palpable energy and dynamic sonics as they prove an undeniable ability to unite a crowd, whether that’s through the collective screens of ‘quarantine’ or the hopeful imagining of the days we’ll be able to jump around in a crowd once again.

With a devout cult following on TikTok, Jeris picked up traction on the platform following the success of “damn!,” which reached #19 on the Shazam charts and was included on Spotify’s US Viral Chart.  As Jeris perfected reworks of classic tracks, putting his trap flair on iconic hits and accumulating millions of views, he caught the eyes and ears of the critically acclaimed groups themselves.  Proving the power of TikTok, Jeris now boasts cosigns from renowned group Papa Roachm, Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, and Bring Me The Horizon.
