BLOODY HELL Unleash Single “Burn Witch Burn”

Formed to cause confusion and fear in people who don’t understand what heavy metal is about, Helsinki, Finland’s BLOODY HELL (ft. members of Moottörin Jyrinä, Metal De Facto) have been wowing fans around the globe with their loud, unapologetic, speed demon tyranny for two decades. Known for their drunken wild shows, the band has always presented good times in the circle pit with anthems about drinking, hangovers, devil-worshipping among other important matters.

Taking a hiatus after releasing two EPs, Hangover Riders (2010), What The Hell (2003) and a self-titled album (2015), along with all members focusing to perform with their other project Moottörin Jyrinä (a children’s heavy metal band that plays cover songs from classic 1980s heavy metal songs with child-friendly Finnish language lyrics with an educational tone), the quartet returns in 2021 to continue the party as grumpy old men with strong 18-year-old angst. Their new record “The Bloodening” due out via Rockshots Records on April 30th, 2021 features 12 fist-pumping songs to kick the band’s new found momentum into overdrive. 

To get the headbanging party started, the band is sharing their first single off “Burn Witch Burn” from the full length. The track is good old-school 80’s metal in the vein of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Accept, and Helloween.

Band co-founder and guitarist Jaakko Halttunen comments on the single:

“What do you do when someone does something wrong or somebody suspects that someone has done something wrong? Even without evidence? You’ll of course shout: BURN THE WITCH, BURN THE WITCH!!!! This Song is about the darker side of social media and the yellow press. It’s a killer song indeed!”

SKAM Release New EP ‘Intra’ And Release Video For ‘Wake Up’

UK rock trio, SKAM  have released their new EP INTRA and have also dropped a video for the track ‘Wake Up’. 

NTRA is the first EP of a 2-part anthology, making up the 4th full length release by UK Power rock trio SKAM. Having honed their craft, the lads have gone back to basics and put together a collection of hard-hitting tracks.  
 
The 2-part Album is inspired by modern day struggles and each song focuses on negative human trait but sends the message that in any situation there is always hope.

‘Wake Up’ is a pure beast of a rock track. ‘Wake Up’ combines the familiar SKAM power with melodic choruses and an instant likability. The track itself is the perfect blend of what makes SKAM popular, hard hitting riffs with a melodic catchiness. ’Wake Up’ is already arena ready, it’s big and bombastic and beings an edginess to the UK Rock scene.

Formed in 2011, SKAM are a hard rock power trio band from the middle of England.  They have a reputation for delivering no nonsense, gutsy, classic sounding British rock music.  

Over the last 9 years, the band have worked tirelessly to build a solid following in the UK, and now they are widely considered to be at the forefront of the ‘New Wave of Classic Rock’ movement that is currently sweeping the nation.  

To date, the band have independently released 3 albums. It’s Come to This (2011) and Peacemaker (2014) were released to critical acclaim and the band established themselves as a live force to be reckoned with. 

The band have hit road with The Answer, Airbourne, Skindred, The Quireboys, and GUN to name a few and are considered a formidable live act. 

A drive to innovate inspired SKAM to release ‘The Amazing Memoirs of Geoffrey Goddard’ (2017), a concept record based on the diary entries of a time travelling RAF pilot. 

The songs were described as ‘gritty anthemic rockers’ by Classic Rock Magazine and the album received a number of 5-star reviews from the UK Music press. 

SKAM don’t write songs to a formula, they write songs as rock fans, trying to capture what they would want to hear. 

Lead single Take it Or Leave it was voted as ‘track of the week’ by Classic Rock Magazine and has since been included on Earache Records ‘New Wave of Rock N Roll’ compilation vinyl.

Ever wondered what MEAT MACHINE will feel like onstage? Find out in OBSIDIAN KINGDOM‘s new video THE PUMP (live), which premiered a week ago at the online festival Slay at Home! The band has given their all to reflect the sheer rawness and gloomy intensity of the song.

The band stated: The video was shot live last December in Barcelona at AMFest, which we were lucky enough to headline in spite of the current situation. It was freezing cold and everybody was sitting down and masked up, so bear with us – we obviously expect it to be way sweatier once you’re in the pit.

April 29th will see Belgium’s OFF THE CROSS release their second studio album, entitled Enjoy It While It Lasts.

Following their critically acclaimed, 2018- debut album, this time the heavy yet melodic metal act hailing from Antwerp presents us a new sound that is both colourful and modern. Backed up by pianos, organs, choirs and synths, OFF THE CROSS creates a profane wall of sound, with a blistering and high- voltage performance by a young band who is thirsty for energy: With Enjoy It While It Lasts, OFF THE CROSS has not only taken a great leap forward but they are ready for a new chapter.

After the band recently shared a first sneak peak with their first single, “The Dance”, OFF THE CROSS have just unleashed a brilliant new music video for the song “Exist”! Says bassist Kurt Hermans: “The theme in ‘EXIST’ appears a little prophetic for a song written and recorded before the pandemic hit us, but most of all we want to put things in perspective and have fun.

BATUSHKA / БАТЮШКА Present Second Single From CARJU NIEBIESNYJ

BATUSHKA presents the second single from the upcoming mini-album “ЦАРЮ НЕБЕСНЫЙ” / “CARJU NIEBIESNYJ” – ПИСЬМО I / PISMO I.

The opening song contains fragments of the Old Church Slavonic prayer to the holy spirit, of course in the allegorical message and interpretation of Batushka, which connects the profanum with the sacrum of the orthodox church.

The six-track release is a follow-up to the band’s last year EP “Raskol“. This time Batushka‘s music is more varied, emotional, and dynamic. More information and the details behind the album’s lyrical and visual concept will be announced through the band’s social media before the premiere, scheduled for March 19.

For now, you must know that this time around, the band invited several musicians from regional folk groups and symphonic orchestra. The album was produced at the local Dobra 12 Studio.
The graphic design and cover art were prepared by the band’s long-time collaborator Maciej Szupica. Photo session and video-visualizers were made by the tireless Xиацынтос Hiatsyntos – Film Director.

DEE SNIDER Co-Stars In New Broadway Show ‘Rock Me Amadeus’; New Teaser Video Available

New York City’s Broadway theatres have been out of commission for almost a year now. This prolonged pause has not stopped world-renowned opera singer Alyson Cambridge and guitar virtuoso Tony Bruno from creating a new show: Rock Me Amadeus. After first announcing the upcoming show last fall, they are releasing their newest music video, “Love Hurts Uninvited,” as part of a series of videos to build anticipation for the show. Arranged by Tony Bruno, the song is an original mashup that combines 80s rock of Nazareth’s “Love Hurts,” 90s angst of Alanis Morissette’s “Uninvited,” and the classical strings of Tchaikovsky’s iconic theme to “Romeo and Juliet.” Rock vocalists Dee Snider, Kia Warren and Chloe Lowery co-star in the video, showing off their vocal and acting chops.  

The three co-stars portray individuals who are dealing with the complexities of love: loss of it, memories of it, and the hurt and joy that come from it.  Each character clings to a token of that love lost –  a scarf, a locket or a letter – each a reminder of happier times.

Directed by Matthew Stiller, the video was shot by Tyler Ribble and Pierre Tsigaridis, and edited by Simon K. Wheeldon in a neo noir film style, in black and white with evocative pops of color, representing the show’s classic-meets-modern ambiance. Filmed from both sides of the US, the video shows Snider from a downtown LA hotel room, while Warren and Lowery are seen on the abandoned streets of NYC and inside Flux Studios.  

RMA Co-producer Tony Bruno says about their new video, “As in Romeo and Juliet, there’s always more to love than the attraction. It’s complicated, frustrating and painful at times. Some endure and some don’t. This mashup was born out of that feeling which we have all experienced at one time or another.” 

More video teasers and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage will be released via the show’s Website, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube every month through the summer to give fans a preview of the exciting experience to come. With the videos, Cambridge and Bruno aim to evoke the excitement of their live show as they move closer to announcing the show’s opening dates.

Rock Me Amadeus is a new show that combines classics from different centuries. It brings the grandeur of classical music, the opulence of opera and the powerful emotions of classic rock and pop songs into one electrifying concert experience. Internationally acclaimed opera soprano Alyson Cambridge and rock guitar virtuoso/composer Tony Bruno join forces to create and co-produce Rock Me Amadeus, blending an all-star cast of rock, pop and classical vocalists and instrumentalists with a full rock band, symphony orchestra and choir.
