EYEHATEGOD Release New Song ‘Circle Of Nerves’

EYEHATEGOD, whose highly-anticipated new album, A History of Nomadic Behavior, arrives on March 12, have revealed a final preview of the 12-song album, releasing the song “Circle of Nerves”. Check it out HERE!

“’Circle of Nerves’ is the last single before the release of our new album, A History of Nomadic Behavior,” explains Eyehategod singer Mike IX Williams. “This track is a prime example of the lowest form of abstract crossover trash to crawl out of the methadone clinic basement. We can’t wait to play these songs live in filthy venues, where the real noise comes to life.”

The single’s arrival follows news of the New Orleanian band’s celebratory listening party for what is their first album in seven years. The March 11 online event is hosted by Revolver and Full Metal Jackie and features a live Q&A and track-by-track discussion. It can be watched via Revolver’s YouTube channel at 1 pm pacific/4 pm eastern.

“I’m a huge fan– these guys helped pioneer NOLA sludge and have inspired countless artists.” Said Full Metal Jackie as the special livestream was announced. “Dangerous music for dangerous people! They sound lean & mean as ever!!

Eyehategod has shared a series of pre-release singles, with the most recent, “Built Beneath The Lies”, deemed an “acidic, sludgy affair from the Southern lords of Riff” by Metal Injection and Consequence of Sound saying “the NOLA vets have offered another catchy slice of grooving sludge metal.” The four-piece have also streamed the “bulldozing” (Revolver) track “ Fake What’s Yours” and the prescient “banger” (Stereogum) “High Risk Trigger”. Early coverage of the album points to a worthy return for the storied sludge outfit, with The Pit saying A History of Nomadic Behavior “keeps up their incredible legacy” and Exclaim noting the release “offers all of the moody, distorted aggression that we’ve come to expect from the band.”

The album’s arrivalfollows a period that saw the New Orleans based band on the road for three years, preceded by Williams suffering liver failure and a transplant. “We toured our asses off for three years and that’s where A History of Nomadic Behavior basically comes from,” adds Williams before touching on his health challenge: “Death is a part of life, it’s a roll of the dice. Sometimes you take life as it comes, other times you fight to stay alive.” The album was produced by Eyehategod, Sanford Parker (Yob, Voivod) and James Whitten (Thou, High on Fire), with mixing by Whitten. The band recorded at HighTower Recording and Hypercube studios.

The album is available in various formats and can be pre – ordered HERE!

Danish metalcore 4- piece GHOST IRIS have released their new single ‘desert dread’ along with a music video. It’s the second single off their new album Comatose (out May 7th via Long Branch Records) and features Chimaira‘s Mark Hunter on guest vocals!

Say Ghost Iris about the new single ‘desert dread’:
“Choice is something we can all agree on, in most instances, should be granted to anyone. Or is it? Having the ability to choose sometimes leads to undesirable outcomes. It’s a song that delves into the topic of antinatalism and the choices thereof. Undesirable outcomes that have severe consequences. Choice is desert of dread, one where we must choose wisely.”

Pre-Order the album Comatose and listen to Ghost Iris‘ new single, ‘desert dread’, feat. Mark Hunter of Chimaira, HERE!

Ever since the release of their critically acclaimed album, Apple of Discord, the band took the heavy music scene by storm with relentless touring throughout Europe, UK and Japan – touring with the likes of Dream Theater, Jinjer, After The Burial and Soen, and playing renowned festivals such as Copenhell, Rockstadt Extreme Fest or Euroblast. Winning over new fans every night with their intense and energetic performance, audiences around the world instantly hunger for the band’s return.

Gearing up for the release of their awaited 4th full length album, Comatose, Ghost Iris are building upon the sound explored on their previous album. Pulverizing instrumentals, bleak lyrics, catchy and hard-htting – Comatose is no exception to these descriptors, being their most visceral material yet. Comatose will be out worldwide on May 7th, 2021 through Long Branch Records.

ERDVE are proud to announce the live stream of a very special live performance that took placve at Lukiškės Prison in Vilnius, Lithuania in September 2020. The stream will launch on February 27, 2021 12:00 P.M. EST. Tickets are available HERE

ERDVE comments on the stream: “Our goal was to enhance the eerie atmosphere of the prison architecture with our musical performance, yet you could still feel the smell and the surrounding energy from the recent prison life. We are happy to be able to share this documented footage shot by NO BRAKE productions, providing an intimate look from multiple points of view. Having such an event during a calmer period of the pandemic was a challenge that could’ve left us with nothing, but we have managed to do this before any harsh restrictions were reinstated. Since this show had a very limited capacity due to the Covid regulations, we made sure to capture this experience in a professional manner and provide an opportunity to those who didn’t have a chance to attend the event or would like to revisit it at home.“

About the event:
This show is probably the last chance for anyone to see the inside of the prison and how it looked like since it was built in 1905. Lukiškės Prison is inactive since 2019 and is now closed for renovation. The stage is set up in a round 4-level hall which is a main part of a 1st prison block that used to serve as a death row for prisoners a while ago. After the death penalty became prohibited in 1998, the 1st prison block was only for prisoners serving a life-sentence right until 2019 relocation of inmates to another prison.

ERDVE‘s are playing in support of their debut album ‘Vaitojimas,’ which is streaming in full HERE. ERDVE will be releasing a brand new album in the Summer of 2021. More info about the new offering will soon be available.
