about the new song “This is the great final ! And what a is a great final without all the actors of the show ?! That’s why I decided to make everyone sing on this song, to reunite the whole Avaland Family on a powerful chorus. With the first track, they are the 2 hymns of Avaland. It’s for this kind of emotions I created Avaland I’m impatient to sing this song on stage ! Every character comes back to Avaland and the light shines again. It’s a bit “cliché” but I like this happy end for this first album. It results perfectly of all the efforts we put in this first Opus, and trust me, it was a long and hard road!” adds Adrien G. MYLES KENNEDY To Release Sophomore Solo Album ‘The Ides Of March’

Never a musician to waste any precious time, Alter Bridge and Slash and the Conspirators vocalist MYLES KENNEDY used the recent pandemic downtime to finalize his sophomore solo album. The finished result is the exciting new offering, The Ides Of March, which incorporates Myles’ love of rock, blues and country and is slated for release on May 14, 2021 via Napalm Records.

During his time at home due to all touring being canceled, Myles created the framework for the song ideas that would make up The Ides Of March. He then called up his cohorts from his Year Of The Tiger debut – longtime friend and drummer Zia Uddin and bassist/manager Tim Tournier – and the three musicians drove to Florida to record the album with longtime producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette. From the slide guitar riffs of the album opener “Get Along” to the pensive blues style of closer “Worried Mind,” it is clear that Myles has crafted a formidable follow up to his debut solo album. While Year Of The Tiger was more of an acoustic exploration through Myles’ mind, The Ides Of March finds him strapping on his electric guitar and pushing himself as a guitarist/songwriter. Tracks like “A Thousand Words,” “Wake Me When It’s Over” and “Moonshot” showcase the diverse musical arrangements that have garnered Myles fans globally across all of his projects. The epic “The Ides Of March” clocks in at over 7-minutes, and Myles, Tim and Zia showcase their musical chops on the track.

The first single, “In Stride”, opens with Myles showcasing his slide playing before delivering a lyrical message to “take it all in stride.” The video for “In Stride” marks a return by Stefano Bertelli (who created the recent “Native Son” video for Alter Bridge) and shows an animated Myles as he takes the end of the world in stride.

“Chill out. That pretty much sums it up,” explains MYLES KENNEDY about the single. “The lyric paints a picture of a survivalist preparing for an impending zombie apocalypse. It was inspired by the first wave of lockdowns as everyone was buying vast amounts of toilet paper and supplies. I started to ask myself if it might be wise to try and gain some perspective and not overreact… keep calm and carry on.”

TEMPERANCE Release New Acoustic Song “Paint The World”

TEMPERANCE will release their new acoustic EP, Melodies Of Green And Blue, this upcoming Friday, February 19 via Napalm Records! The new single, “Paint The World“,  is one of the six acoustic renditions of songs from their critically acclaimed album, Viridian, found on the melodic/symphonic metal outfit’s new EP. After many years of band history and tours with genre giants like NIGHTWISH, Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY and TARJA, TEMPERANCE will release Melodies Of Green And Blue – a gift to their loyal fans!

On this acoustic version, sparkling musical production hits multi-layered vocal harmonies in a dense and catchy acoustic composition. With “Paint The World”, TEMPERANCE invites you into a stripped back musical setting, offering glorious melodies and rich chords to pleasantly get lost in!

Watch the Music Video for “Paint The World” HERE:

Singer Michele Guaitoli about “Paint The World”:
„Together with the emotion of going acoustic, we also had the chance to write some brand new tracks for this acoustic EP, moving away from the original style of the band. Even though we released tracks like “Gaia” or “Scent of Dye” before, “Paint The World” is a semi-acoustic ballad that would have been hard to include in any other TEMPERANCE’s record as it too much in between the acoustic world and the electric world. Like many other times in TEMPERANCE’s history, we immediately took advantage of this possibility that Napalm gave us, to experiment with something different and new. I believe in this song as you can clearly feel the influences of our youth, the alternative rock of the early 2000s, and the beginning of our musical dreams: the dreams of a bunch of kids who wanted to paint their own picture of this world.“

Furthermore, Michele Guaitoli comments on the Melodies Of Green And Blue EP:
“We’ve been talking about recording some acoustic versions of our tracks for a long time, as we all love the intimate and emotional feeling that this particular style can offer to any tracks. If you think of it, this is how most of our songs are composed: it’s Marco on his guitar or me on the piano. Everything for us begins in acoustic before going metal. This EP is a little dream come true, as we can finally show the heart of our music in its purest version.”

In celebration of Melodies Of Green And Blue’s release, TEMPERANCE will perform an acoustic show via live stream on Friday, Feb 19 (8PM CET). Get your tickets for the show HERE!

Spikerot Records is extremely stoked to announce the signing of BOTTOMLESS, the brand new project formed by Giorgio Trombino and David Lucido, respectively guitar/vocals and drums (together in Assumption, Undead Creep,  Haemophagus,  Morbo and others) and by Sara Bianchin (Messa, Restos Humanos) on bass.

BOTTOMLESS play nothing but unadulterated Doom Metal in the vein of the ancient masters Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Trouble, The Obsessed.

“Bottomless is our vehicle to express a love that never dies, i.e. that for the most threatening, Sabbathic form of slow heavy metal we could ever come up with” says Trombino. “There’s no room for anything but our influences inside this project. That being said, our first album is the materialization of our vision. We thank Spikerot for believing in Bottomless since the very start. There is no end…”.

The trio’s first self-titled record is expected to be released in late 2021 via Spikerot Records on CD, LP and Digital.

SHAPE OF WATER Attempt To Terraform Mars With Epic Struggle Of Man Vs. Machine In “Mars-X” Music Video

British alternative electro-rock band SHAPE OF WATER have revealed an amazing new music video for their song “Mars-X”. Watch it now via YouTube at this location. “Mars-X” is taken from the band’s debut full-length album Great Illusions which was released in June of 2020. The album was produced by Paul Reeve (Muse, Beta Band, Supergrass) at Airfield Studios.

“We always wanted to tell a sci-fi story for this video but because of Covid, it was logistically impossible during the second UK lockdown” says vocalist Rox Capriotti. “We came up with this astronaut story based on the song’s lyrics, and since we couldn’t actually film it, Luca had to draw everything and then animate it.” Guitarist Luca De Falco adds, “It took me around 3 weeks to finish and it was a lot of work, but that’s what I love to do. The song was one of the last we wrote before recording Great Illusions, but ironically it became one of our favorites!”

In addition, the band just released an exciting cinematic rebirth of electro art-rock entitled Lockdown On Mars. Through the lockdowns and isolation of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Shape Of Water “reinvented” some of their fan’s favorite songs. Reimagined, re-recorded cinematic versions of “Mars-X” and “The World Is Calling Me”. These instant classics, along with an electro-acoustic version of “Perfect Love” and a daring remake of Still Karma entitled “The Great Still Karma” breathe new life into these fan favorites. Top it all off with a cover of “Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails, and this EP sets a new bar for the alternative electro-rock scene. Stream or Download Lockdown On Mars at this location.

Stream or Download the EP on iTunes or Amazon, and stream it on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Music, and Deezer and more here.
