British hard rockers THE TREATMENT are pleased to announce their upcoming new studio album, “Waiting For Good Luck” on April 9th via Frontiers Music. Today, fans can get their first taste of the new album in the form of new single and video ‘Rat Race’.

Pre-order/save “Waiting For Good Luck” HERE: https://orcd.co/thetreatment

“Waiting For Good Luck” is the fifth full-length album from British hard rockers The Treatment. A first listen will instantly reveal hulking riffs and memorable choruses and further listens reveal more and more as the listener delves into this love letter to hard rock. “Waiting for Good Luck” truly is a classic album in the making.

Produced by UK rock maestro Laurie Mansworth (Airrace) and mixed by Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Black Country Communion, etc.), “Waiting for Good Luck” is The Treatment’s second album featuring Tom Rampton on vocals (new bass player Andy Milburn joined after the recording of the album). Rampton’s raspy, whisky-soaked vocal style suits the band’s driving, hard rock style perfectly and the results of him having toured with and gelled further with the band can really be heard distinctly here.

Tracklisting:

  1. Rat Race
  2. Take It Or Leave It
  3. Lightning In A Bottle
  4. Vampress
  5. Eyes On You
  6. No Way Home
  7. Devil In The Detail
  8. Tough Kid
  9. Hold Fire
  10. Barman
  11. Let’s Make Money
  12. Wrong Way

A magnificent slice of groove-laden, fist-pumping, unapologetic rock ‘n roll anthems, which showcase a band hungry for more and showing no signs of slowing down, “Waiting For Good Luck” is the most realized offering yet from The Treatment.

“We honestly all believe this album is a huge step forward for The Treatment and we can’t wait for you to hear it. We will be touring as soon as circumstances will allow us and we look forward to seeing all you Treatment troops at our shows next year,” says the band.

The Treatment formed in 2008 in Cambridge, England. Their debut album, “This Might Hurt” was released in 2011 and followed by “Running With The Dogs” (2014), “Generation Me” (2016), and “Power Crazy” (2019). The band has toured with KISS, Mötley Crüe, Steel Panther, Thin Lizzy, and Alice Cooper, just to name a few, as well as appearing at massive rock festivals like Download and Sonisphere.

Hardcore Supergroup BLOODCLOT Debut New Lineup With Lyric Video + Frontman John Joseph Reveals Information On Upcoming Plant-Based Cookbook

Hardcore supergroup BLOODCLOT, led by iconic frontman John Joseph, has revealed a lyric video for the new single, “Save the Robots.”

“Save the Robots” is the first BLOODCLOT track to feature new members guitarist Tom Capone (Quicksand, Bold), bassist Manny Carrero (Still Suit, Glass Jaw, Burn) and drummer Darren Morgenthaler (Madball, Maximum Penalty).

Watch the video below.

After the release of the 2017 album Up in Arms, BLOODCLOT went on hiatus while grieving the loss of their guitarist and dear friend Todd Youth. “Todd passed away just after ‘Up in Arms’ was released and we did one U.S. tour,” Joseph says. “BLOODCLOT was hit hard. It took us by complete surprise. I’ve known Todd since the early ‘80s so it wasn’t just losing a band member, he was a solid friend of mine – like a little brother actually.”

After making the decision to push on, drummer Joey Castillo (Queens of the Stoneage and Danzig) suggested former Quicksand guitarist Tom Capone to join the band, which was rounded out by bassist Nick Oliveri (Queens of the Stoneage, Kyuss). The quartet hit a speedbump, though, when Covid hit and travel was not possible for the bi-coastal group and BLOODCLOT was once again in limbo.

“I decided I needed to work with local NYC musicians,” Joseph says. “The one prerequisite I had was that everyone in the band needed to make BLOODCLOT their number one priority in terms of any other projects. All agreed and we hit the studio. Everything flowed.”A new full-length album is schedule for release later this year. In the meantime, the former Cro-Mags vocalist and 12x Ironman athlete is readying his latest his book for release. Hardcore Kitchen is scheduled for release in May. “The cookbook has over 100 gourmet recipes I’ve created in the last 40 years of being plant-based,” he says. “It’s my go to source of fuel for Ironman training and competition. They will fuel your kick-ass life!”

See below for a sneak peak at one of Joseph’s original recipes from Hardcore Kitchen.

Bad-Ass Chili w/ Corn Bread

I fuckin’ love chili. Apparently, so does the rest of America. In fact, 122 million Americans consumed some in 2018. The problem with that staggering figure is that most of it was meat-based. That adds up to billions and billions of pounds of dead animals. On average each American consumes 270 pounds of meat per person every year. This country eats more meat than anyone else on the fucking planet. Think about that when you wanna talk destruction of our planet. All the pesticide grain fed to animals for slaughter, all the fossil fuel burned, the water, the land, the poisonous excrement in the CAFO’s where hundreds and thousands of animals are confined shitting and pissing all over each other, infected with sores and disease. Hey, that’s real talk people. This joint right here is nutritious as fuck and won’t rot in your gut giving you one of them swollen colons, where upwards of 25lbs of rotting shit can be brewing, bubbling and fermenting causing clogged arteries and limp dicks. Fuck all that! Serve this with steamed kale or broccoli along with my badass corn bread and it’s serious food porn. It’s great on those cold, brick days and nights or even in the summer time. If you don’t wanna use canned beans soak your beans overnight and cook them before adding. While your chili is cooking make the cornbread. I got faith in ya’ so get that shit done!

Serves 4-6
Chili
Ingredients:
8 cups of water (less for thicker chili)
1 cup kidney beans
1 cup chick peas
1/2 cup green lentils
1 cup organic corn
1 cup tofu cut into small cubes
3 cups crushed ripe tomatoes
3 tablespoons coconut oil
3 bay leaves
1 cup green pepper, chopped
2 fresh green chili peppers, chopped fine
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon hing
2 teaspoons sea salt
Miyoko’s vegan cream cheese (optional but dope as fuck)
Directions:
Soak the beans and chickpeas in water overnight. Rinse and look out for pebbles. Bring them to a boil in a 4-quart soup pot with 8 cups of water. Cover and simmer on a low flame until they get soft (approx. 2 hours). If you want to save time you can use canned beans and peas. Add tomatoes and bay leaves and simmer covered for another 30 minutes. Now the secret to a good chili: spicing. Heat the oil in a 12-inch frying pan and sauté tofu, green peppers, carrots, chili peppers, basil, hing, oregano, cumin, coriander and chili powder until the tofu is evenly browned. Add this mixture to beans and throw in the corn, salt, smoked paprika and cayenne. Let simmer on a low flame for 20 minutes. Remove bay leaves. Place in a bowl and top with a little Miyoko’s cream cheese and… voila bitches!!!!

Corn Bread
Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup unbleached white flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup soy milk
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 cup grilled green and red bell peppers (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Oil up a 10-inch oven-safe round glass dish or a cast-iron baking dish. Get two bowls. In the first, mix together the cornmeal, whole wheat flour, white flour and baking powder. In the second, combine your soy milk, olive oil, maple syrup and sea salt. Mix everything in one big bowl and add the grilled peppers if you chose to include them. Don’t over-mix, studly. Pour this into your oiled baking dish and bake for approx. 25 minutes. Set aside to cool. Cut into wedges and serve with your chili. Or you can do some real Tex-Mex business and throw the bread in a dry frying pan until golden brown on each side.

“”Cobblestone Street”, can easily be called the album that grounded me and made me take a good look at where I was and where I wanted to go. Sometimes when you’re lost, just go back to where you started, the answers are usually there”, Tramp says. “Not just did I go back to the neighborhood where I was born and raised, but also to earliest form of music I remember. Cobblestone Street is where it all started” he adds.

LA Based, 5 piece band FUSED BY DEFIANCE have released the official music video for their single, “Cancel Culture.” Originally premiered on GHOST CULT MAGAZINE, “Cancel Culture” was directed and edited by Ron Underwood.

or stream on Spotify, here.

“Cancel culture is a powerful weapon that when used appropriately, has the power to take down disgusting human-beings in less than 140 characters; something most court systems can’t manage to do in 140 days. But like a vigilante with no moral code or restraint, it can easily tip toward the dark-side. This song talks about the inappropriate usage of cancel culture. Metaphorically, a virus in the system; that searches through a person’s past and finds the one thing that may be able to bring them down as a petty response or knee jerk reaction to a human occasion. What cancel culture in this instance fails to take into account is the fallibility of humanity. Within this cycle is a tale of growth through experience which in current times are posted for public review. We are all human and all make mistakes, however only in the fallacy of stagnation does cancel culture become its own demise.” – FUSED BY DEFIANCE

Fused By Defiance, also known as FxD, is a five piece band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2012. They incorporate sounds of Rock, Metal, Rap and Funk, coupled with socially conscious lyrics, to create songs that will move both your body and your mind. Add in their naturally energetic performance and the live shows become an event to remember, or as one fan put it, “Poetry In Motion.”

TERROR To Release ‘Trapped In A World’ LP Feat. Former Guitarist Todd Jones

Long-running Los Angeles hardcore outfit TERROR is preparing to release Trapped In A World, revisiting their earliest records with former guitarist Todd Jones of Nails, who will also be producing the band’s next LP. Set for release on March 5th, the band has issued the details on the special release including pressing info, preorders, and more, and No Echo is hosting a premiere of “Overcome.”

Since their 2002 inception, TERROR has held their own at the forefront of hardcore, through nonstop international touring, an incredible discography, and deep roots in the hardcore community. While their full-time touring has been halted for the past year during the ongoing pandemic, the band has been revisiting material from some of their prior incarnations, and in recent months, the current lineup met up to recapture songs from their earliest days. Joined by former guitarist Todd Jones, who formed Nails upon his exit from the band in 2004, at drummer Nick Jett’s studio. The band recorded a brutal session of songs from their seminal first two records – 2003’s Lowest Of The Low (Bridge 9 Records) and 2004’s One With The Underdogs (Trustkill) – the session also serving as a precursor for their upcoming studio album which will be produced by Jones.

Vocalist Scott Vogel reveals, “As the world locked down and terror went on a full pause with the pandemic hitting the USA hard, somehow this created a perfect opportunity with Nick, Todd, and myself to start writing TERROR songs twenty years after we started this band. Of course, all the other members are involved in this process, but with travel restrictions and us being so spread-out location-wise, a lot of weekends the three of us were just getting in a room and creating new terror songs and it’s been a pretty insane experience. Todd is a deep-thinking maniac that can write hardcore songs like no one I have seen before, and the three of us fell right back into our early mindset and the energy and aggression felt just like it did on day one.”

Todd Jones adds, “Got together with the TERROR Crew (in a creative sense), for the first time since recording One With The Underdogs. The ideas, guitars, lyrics/vocals, songs came pouring out. Locked in with Nick and Scott as if it hasn’t been sixteen years since we played together. There’s no shortage of song writers in Terror and the stuff we’ve collectively come up with so far… I can’t stop listening to these tracks. Magic via musical chemistry. It’s our aim to deliver to you a visceral and explosive hardcore record and I really hope you enjoy it.”

With twelve of their most seminal and foundational tracks brutally delivered in less than twenty-four minutes, Trapped In A World was recorded with the band all playing together at once to capture a more raw and “rehearsal tape” type of energy in July 2020 at Jet to Mars Studio, engineered and mixed by Nick Jett with additional engineering by Ryan Marr, and mastered by Will Putney. The record is completed with cover art by Rico Pakun with additional art by Chase Mason, handwritten elements by Tyler Mullen, layout and design by Martin Stewart.

Stream the Trapped In A World track “Overcome” at No Echo RIGHT HERE and find preorders and much more now at TERROR’s official StickTight.LA.

TERROR will self-release Trapped In A World on all digital service providers and on 12″ vinyl including new merch and more on March 5th. The LP will be pressed in an array of vinyl variants: 500 TriColor Pink/Blue/Yellow, 200 Black vinyl big hole limited cover, 25 Test pressings, 200 Gold Vinyl (Coretex exclusive), 200 Neon Yellow (RevHQ exclusive), and 100 Glow in the Dark with Japanese OBI Strip (WAR Records Exclusive).

Watch for new details on TERROR‘s upcoming, yet unnamed, new LP with Todd Jones at the production desk to be issued later this year.

BENTHOS Reveal “Debris // Essence” Music Video

Experimental progressive metal band BENTHOS have revealed a new music video and single for the song “Debris // Essence“. The video was directed by Stefano Galli. Watch it right now at this location.

“Debris // Essence” is the first single from the band’s debut full-length album II which is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 23, 2021 via Eclipse Records. The album was produced by Matteo Magni  (Anewrage, Deep As Ocean) at Magnitude Recordings. Pre-order / Pre-save the album at this location

“Debris // Essence is an immersion through consciousness” says guitarist Gabriele Papagni. “The song was written to bring out instinctive passions oppressed by the imposed patterns that are dictated by reality. We chose this song as the first single from the album, because the song summarizes the varying aspects of our sound and style.”

II by Benthos is a stunning debut of experimental progressive metal. Featuring seven tracks showcasing the band’s technical prowess, II quickly catapults the band onto the global metal scene alongside the likes of Periphery, Between The Buried And Me, TesseracT, Sikth, and Meshuggah. The album tells a first-person story about the opposing forces of dualism such as life vs death, intuition vs rationality, and finite vs infinite concepts. The first single “Debris // Essence” is an immersion through consciousness represented with a dive into the deepest part of the abyss.  “Cartesio” is the second single off the album which represents the beginning of the inner journey described throughout the album. The third single “Talk To Me Dragonfly!” is a fast-paced jazz-infused staccato of progressive metal which brings the listener on a confrontation with one’s negativity resulting in awareness, acceptance, and improvement towards positivity. On II by Benthos there is a lot to digest on this amazing album, but one thing is certain… after you are done digesting this sensory feast you’ll be wanting more!
