Berlin Based Gothic Metal Rock Project HIDECLOSE proudly presents his debut EP Nocte Mutamur (By Night We Are Changed), a gothic novella in five movements.
Hideclose is the creation of Lenn Vane, a composer and storyteller from Berlin whose work blends dark, doom-laden riffs with narrative precision, exploring themes of spiritual decay, dream logic, and the sacred grotesque.
Nocte Mutamur unfolds like a Gothic novella set in Victorian London, 1889. Through five interconnected tracks, the listener follows Professor Dario Valperga, a scholar of religion whose fascination with evil draws him into visions, rituals, and a reality collapsing under its own shadows.
Each track marks a chapter in Dario Valperga’s descent — from the haunting visions of A Haunted View, to the forbidden rites of Sacred Play, the obsessive doubt of The Darkness Draws Near, the shocking murder in A Fatal Meeting, and the full-moon transformation in Nocte Mutamur, where danger and salvation merge in shadow.
Blending gothic metal, doom, and alternative influences, the EP evokes the atmosphere of classic Gothic literature — obsession, revelation, and transformation. It explores the tension between reason and darkness, faith and decay.
With Nocte Mutamur, Lenn Vane invites listeners into a world where horror becomes sacred and the grotesque reveals truth, a nocturnal journey through sound and story, where every note marks another step into the shadow.

The opening chapter of Nocte Mutamur comes to life in Haunted View, where Professor Dario Valperga begins his descent. On his nightly walk, Dario finds himself in a forest where shadows stir and unseen creatures watch. Reason fails him — the whispers will not let go.
Visually haunting and sonically gripping, the lyric video introduces the dark world of Nocte Mutamur and sets the tone for the journey that follows.

Alternative rock/psychedelic shoegaze band FILTHY HIPPIES unveil their long-awaited new EP, Waves, out today via Mongrel Records.
Following the release of their acclaimed single “Honey,” the EP sees the band diving deeper into their signature haze of reverb-soaked guitars, dreamlike vocals, and emotionally charged lyricism. Across its tracks, Waves captures fleeting moments of beauty and loss, swelling and breaking like the tides that inspired its name.
“Waves’ is best described by a lyric from ‘Air’; ‘It’s like hearts, melting into flames,” says the band. “We just tried to capture simple moments and put them into relatable songs.

Multi-platinum hard rock powerhouse FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH (@5fdp) is celebrating their 20th anniversary with the release of two definitive greatest hits collections: Best Of – Volume 1 (released in July) and Best Of – Volume 2 (released yesterday). Both albums feature newly re-recorded versions of 5FDP’s biggest anthems, created in response to the sale of the original song masters—made without the band’s knowledge or opportunity to reclaim them.
Instead of remixing or remastering, 5FDP turned the setback into a positive by fully re-recording fan favorites across two volumes—both as a tribute to the songs and the fans who’ve stood with them over two decades. While honoring the originals and those who helped create them, the band brings renewed intensity to tracks like “Sham Pain,” “Blue On Black,” “Trouble,” and “Burn MF.” Together, the two collections pay respect to the past while reintroducing the music for a new era. Best Of – Volume 2 includes 16 re-recorded classics plus three previously unreleased live versions of “Wash It All Away,” “Wrong Side of Heaven,” and “Jekyll and Hyde”.
On September 5, the band announced today’s release of Volume 2 alongside a new single, “The End” featuring BABYMETAL. The song has been steadily climbing the rock charts since and is at #5 this week. BABYMETAL vocalist SU-METAL shares: “We were invited to take part in a 20th-anniversary collaboration project featuring guest artists on past songs. Five Finger Death Punch and BABYMETAL had performed at the same festival overseas back in 2015, so I was really happy thinking they might have remembered me from then. I sang Japanese lyrics inspired by the original lyrics of ‘The End,’ and spent a lot of time experimenting to find the voice that best fit such a deep, cool track. My favorite moment is the flow from ‘Negai o kakete’ into the break, where my voice is gradually engulfed by Ivan’s growl—it gave me chills. I hope listeners feel that too.”
Five Finger Death Punch is currently making history with “The End” feat. BABYMETAL – the first-ever song including Japanese lyrics to break into U.S. Active Rock radio. The track has been resonating powerfully with fans worldwide and recently had a #1 streak for several weeks on the Japanese iTunes Metal Chart. It also reached #18 on the Japanese All Genres Chart – a rare feat for an international rock release, confirming that music truly is universal.

One of the constant questions we had gotten from fans was “when will we have some new music!?”. There’s some good news for anyone who wants new music from Silveroller. We’re currently in the writing process for a new record! There’s a lot of work going into the songs. We’re starting to discuss studios and we’re getting ready to make our first Full length album some time early next year.
Before then though, we wanted to release a live single, or two, of songs that will be on that record. We didn’t want the people who have been asking for new music to have to wait for the “studio versions” to be ready for you to hear them, so here is ‘Trouble Follows Me – Live’, unfiltered, raw, passionate and as it came from us onstage. Silveroller head out on tour in October with Bobbie Dazzle for 3 shows, then finish up supporting REEF at Liverpool: “Thrilled to be heading out on the road in October! We’re out with two incredible artists.
Bobbie Dazzle… what can we say!? Absolutely amazing, we’ve tried to align schedules in the past, to play shows together, and haven’t been able to make it work so we’re buzzing to get this run of dates down. It’s going to be one hell of a stylish tour! We’re stoked to return to London, and to be playing in a venue on the iconic Denmark Street is gonna be a thrill. We’ve only played in Wales a couple of times, and we’re really excited to get back. Manchester we’ve done once before when we played with DeWolff last year, it was an amazing show last time, I’m sure it will be this time as well.
Then we’re rounding off the run with Reef, in Liverpool o2 Academy, a home town show for a couple of the boys! Me and Joe saw Reef open for The Black Crowes when we were in pre production for ‘At Dawn’, they blew our head off so getting the invite to open is amazing.
