Today Dutch Metal trio CRYPTOSIS proudly present you the official video to “Transcendence”, which has been produced by Aimed & Framed.

CRYPTOSIS checked in with the following comment about the song’s lyrics:

“In 2149 it is possible to purchase digital thoughts, knowledge and talents from a deceased person. The term “self investment” has shifted to a whole different kind of perspective. People can now enhance their mind to be more creative and smarter beyond their wildest dreams. This all comes at a price, since the new technology is so addictive that society can’t live without it anymore. Mankind has become the host… of a parasite.”

Denmarks Death-Metal powerhouse BAEST release “Necro Sapiens” the third single of their upcoming album release “Necro Sapiens” (March 5th ) accompanied by an outstanding official video-clip. The video premiere will start at 7 PM CET/1 PM ET. The band comments:

BAEST come from Aarhus in Denmark and have successfully established themselves as one of the country’s most promising metal acts in recent years. While deeply rooted in straight-forward classic death metal inspired by genre legends like Dismember, Entombed, Morbid Angel, Death, and Bolt Thrower, the 2015 formed band evolved from a Danish underground phenomenon to an internationally touring act (2018 tour with Abbath, 2019 EU/UK trek with Decapitated). SOILWORK Release Feature Film For “A Whisp Of The Atlantic” On February 3rd

Last December, 4th, Swedish melodic death metal legends SOILWORK shook the metal world in its foundations when the band released their new EP “A Whisp Of The Atlantic” – featuring the most daring and virtuous song of the band to date, the seventeen-minutes-title track that showcases the ingenuity and skills of SOILWORK in all their shades.

Today, SOILWORK announce the release of an epic feature film that presents “A Whisp Of The Atlantic” in its unity by linking the entire story line with new and small bits of music and brand new footage.

SOILWORK‘s musical and their philosophical approach on the new EP does not only close the circle of the ‘The Feverish Trinity’ but also invites the listener to dive deep into the most primal element: Water.
Starting with ‘Feverish’ and ending with ‘A Whisp Of The Atlantic’, the whole EP is a journey from the rage of individuals to the search for something that replaces religion. “From the desire of Feverish, the urge of Desperado, the determinism of Death Diviner, the insights and questions of The Nothingness and the Devil and the acceptance and spiritual searching of A Whisp of the Atlantic. The whole song and video sequence is like a slightly different take on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. It’s all about realising that we’re all stuck on this rock and that we need to find something more inclusive than religion to get through this together. Because in the end, we’re all outsiders, genetically hunter-gatherers trying to fit in in a world that we created but at the same time wasn’t really made for us”, David Andersson sums up. “The overarching theme is liberation from the extremely low level of the social and cultural debate these days, and it starts with the fundamentals and ends with the phenomenological. From liberation into ascension.”

Arizona’s GATECREEPER Sign With Nuclear Blast Records, New EP ‘An Unexpected Reality’ Out Now

The highly revered and critically lauded blue-collar Arizona death metallers GATECREEPER have officially joined Nuclear Blast, home to a lion’s share of the heaviest riffs in rock and metal.

Regarding the signing, GATECREEPER states:

Finnish HUMAN DESIGN Release Guitar Cover For Ludwig van Beethoven’s ‘Moonlight Sonata’

Finnish HUMAN DESIGN have released an epic guitar cover for Ludwig van Beethoven’s ‘Moonlight Sonata’ (1st Movement).

The band’s guitarist Kristian Tiihonen stated:
“There are many versions already and some very Epic. Why make one more? Well…I was surprised not finding melody played with distorted guitar. Ha…need to make one. Actually melody is quite often not present at all. Pointed a small pc speaker right to my guitar creating lot of feedback (there’s IG video about recording session @humandesignband). Crying guitar is the essence of this version. This short version is very straight forward and you can easily play along. At the end though had to reorganize to double the finale. Off course tried to invent some new hooks but this piece is a hit for a reason. There really is no way to improve this master composition. Can add layers, breaks, mess a bit with arrangement but core cannot be altered without damage. “Don’t fix if it’s not broken”. Yes to that.”

Human Design was founded 1997 with a goal to make melodramatic music with a hint of sarcasm. Dark sound scape on a steady pulse was achieved by combining drop tuned baritone guitar and 5-string bass with sequencers and orchestral influences. Baritone singer strives to reach higher pitches creating a unique HD-vibration.

Song writer has a classical background but lusts for prominent snare-kick punch and melodies that give “out of genre”-dimension making songs stand out from the box. Epic orchestral music is essential element.

Human Design combines and utilizes best of classical-, heavy- and pop-music. There are tracks suitable as film scores and part are simple rock songs. Epic Emotions is all that matters. Genre is far secondary.

Human Design is usually not alone. “Epic Emotions” concerts brings choirs, dancers and guest-stars to the stage. No ideas are ruled out. Sometimes audience is performing too. Lighting and video fitted to the feeling along with quadraphonic live sound completes the mood giving audience the experience they deserve.
