KING BULL Release Official Music Video For ‘B-Side Baby’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 3, 2021

2020 was a big year for burgeoning Canadian punk-tinged rockers KING BULL. They released 3 cracking singles in Pay Attention, The Depender and B-Side Baby, they then dropped their long-awaited new EP What Happened Here? in October via Riot Records.

King Bull encompasses 70’s rock and punk with an angsty vibe and some earthy streetwise riffs and powered by a punk-tinged, rock-ignited fuel. Fired up by intricate licks, buzz-cutter guitar tones and uniquely edgy vocals, they cover what is great about rock music.

Now they have released the official video clip for B-Side Baby. B-Side Baby backs up King Bull’s reputation of impressive musicianship and ingenious riff-writing capabilities in a fresh rock hit.

Watch the offical music video for B-Side Baby HERE

B-Side Baby is a superb track that dives from garage fused punky rock to an incredible Guns N’ Roses styled crescendo. This could be the track that defines King Bull, it is ready made for arenas.

King Bull’s EP What Happened Here? is not a concept record, it was not constructed to achieve some sort of grand vision, nor does it strive to unravel the meaning of life. Instead the record does away with all nonsense and pretentiousness, leaving just five stripped down bangers loaded with real life integrity and grit.

The EP is sonically cohesive throughout, featuring snarling guitars, growling bass, thunderous drums and vocals that sound similar to a jet engine that isn’t working properly. Most of the equipment used during the recording process pre-dates the 1980’s and includes a guitar that’s been snapped in half several times and a bass that’s quite literally survived a house fire.

A closer inspection of the songs reveal direct lyrics backed with enough wit to remind you that there’s still some room for poetry within rock and roll. Before the label “punk rock” existed, there were a bunch of bands that operated with less precision and carried more angst than typical rock and roll bands; bands like the Ramones, MC5, early AC/DC, the Clash, the Who etc. What Happened Here? is right at home when stacked beside music like that.

Danish metalcore 4-piece, GHOST IRIS, has announced their new studio album Comatose for May 7th via Long Branch Records.

Since the release of their critically acclaimed album, Apple of Discord, the band has made a name for themselves with relentless touring throughout Europe, UK and Japan – sharing the stages with the likes of Dream Theater, Jinjer, After The Burial and Soen, and playing renowned festivals such as Copenhell, Rockstadt Extreme Fest and Euroblast. Winning over new fans every night with their intense and energetic performance, audiences around the world instantly hunger for the band’s return.

Gearing up for the release of their awaited 4th full length album, Comatose, Ghost Iris are building upon the sound explored on their previous album: Pulverizing instrumentals, bleak lyrics, catchy and hard-htting – Comatose is no exception to these descriptors, being their most visceral material yet!

02. desert dread feat. Mark Hunter
03. paper tiger
04. cult
05. former self
06. coda

09. coma
10. power schism

Ghost Iris about the album title and artwork for Comatose:

“Comatose is a title that represents in a plethora of ways. It’s about the fact that many people are asleep, but even from a coma, one can arise. On the surface it might seem extremely dark, nihilistic and bearing of a defeatist attitude, but darkness cannot exist where there’s light. We all exist in the age of enlightenment and even though it seems as if we’re all screwed and the earth is almost destroyed, times will surely change. Arise from the coma, no longer comatose, we fight the demons.
The artwork for Comatose depicts Kali, whose name translates to “she who is death”, as a mere mortal. To serve the title of the album, the majority of mankind are asleep and oblivious as to what is going on around them. Ultimately, we are death. However, there is no darkness without the light – let us all arise from the coma.”

Furthermore, Ghost Iris recently announced a new tour as special guests for post-hardcore legends SKYWALKER. The tour was originally planned for 2020 but was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.

SHARONE Spotlights Depression With Dark Horror, Whodunit Music Video For “Screaming Into Oblivion”

Nearing the release of her upcoming LP, Morbid Illusion, Dark Rock artist SHARONE has released a darkly cinematic official music video for the third single, “Screaming Into Oblivion.” Directed by Kyle Lamar  and Justin Purvis at Digital Myle, with inematography and editing by Kyle Lamar and Spencer Macy, “Screaming Into Oblivion” features the enigmatic Denver based artist with bassist Zach Barrera.

“Screaming Into Oblivion is about depression. I wrote the song when I was feeling very alone. It seemed that no matter where I turned, all I was seeing was emptiness, and my brain was taking over me. I’ve dealt with mental illness for many, many years. It’s a reoccurring part of my life. I try to shed light on it in my music when I can, because I know I’m not the only one who deals with it. And it helps those people, knowing that they’re not alone.

Download and stream HERE.

For the music video, I went with a ‘Clue (board game) meets The Grudge’ theme. The idea was to show different characters trying to figure out who it was who killed me, and at the end we discover that I was the only one there the whole time. That I imagined all these different people in my head and there was no one else around.” – SHARONE
