Chilean Blackened Thall outfit ATER is proud to unleash their gripping new single, “Venus.” The track serves as the first glimpse into the band’s upcoming full-length album, ‘Everlasting,’ set for release in 2026 and produced by acclaimed producer Dan Lancaster (Bring Me The Horizon, Muse). The new track arrives alongside an official music video, available below.
“Venus” captures ATER’s signature fusion of blackened ferocity and modern thall precision, blending dissonant atmospheres, punishing rhythms, and melodic undercurrents that reflect the band’s continued evolution. The single marks a bold new chapter for the Chilean collective, pushing their sound into deeper emotional and sonic territory while maintaining the visceral power that has defined them since their formation.
Founder and frontman Fernando Bühring comments:
“New single and video ‘Venus’ dropped today! Catch us on the road this fall for the Morbidfesttour with Possessed, Terrorizer, Massacre, and Nightfall. Merry Samhain from all of us at ATER — see you in the pits!”
Kicking off next month, ATER will be touring Europe as part of Morbidfest alongside Possessed, Terrorizer, Massacre and Nightfall. The tour will begin on November 24th in Warsaw, Poland at Progresja and conclude on December 19th at La Machine Du Moulin Rouge in Paris, France. For the full list of dates, please see below.
Founded by composer and multi-instrumentalist Fernando Bühring, ATER is a Chilean dark-metal band from the city of Santiago. Formed in 2010 but really began to be active in 2018 with the release of their debut album ‘Eternal Gray Spiral.’ The band is known for their dark, emotive sound and captivating live performances.
ATER’s sophomore release ‘Somber’ was released in 2024 and catapulted the band into the global metal scene. The band has been touring extensively in support of the album and participated in many international tours with bands such as Cradle of Filth, Patriarkh, Hate, Venom Inc. and many more. This album is known for its sheer heaviness and dense ambient elements.
In 2025 the band released the single “The Fall” which has become one of the band’s most popular tracks and best live show moments.
Currently, ATER is working with producer Dan Lancaster on their upcoming album ‘Everlasting’ which will be released in 2026.
Yesterday, October 29th Canadian Roots, Rock, and Soul band Bywater Call released their second studio single of 2025, “Ain’t No Friend of Mine.”
The single is available on all streaming platforms via – https://linktr.ee/bywatercall. Watch the official “Ain’t No Friend of Mine” music video below.
“Ain’t No Friend of Mine” is a ripping, rootsy, blues rock anthem about betrayal and broken friendship. Inspired by the styles of Gary Clark Jr, The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Marcus King and the Rolling Stones, the song boasts a driving rhythm section, smoky female vocals and searing electric guitar.
“We wanted to write something bold and confident, mixing traditional blues influences with a modern rock attitude” say lead singer Meghan Parnell. “The intention was to convey the strength in acknowledging hurt, letting it out, sharing it and then letting it go for good. This is reflective in the gang vocal yell in the chorus, which is meant to be freeing and powerful to sing along to.”
The song was recorded at Palace Studios in Toronto, captured and mixed by Patric McGroarty, and mastered by Kristian Montano of Montano Mastering. The music video was shot in studio, by Zack Murray of Lightning House Media, who captured a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of the track.
The single arrives hot on the heels of their live album Sunshine, met with rave reviews last August and the band’s previous single “Hold Me Down”, released in September.
Often transcending genres, Bywater Call is known for their dynamic, emotional live shows, featuring powerful vocals and exciting interplay between all band members.
In their August 2024 issue, Classic Rock made Bywater Call’s 2024 album Shepherd their “Blues Album of the Month” and said it was “an inventive and uncommonly catchy record,” and added, “the sense of a band on the brink is unmistakable.” The album was also selected as the “Top Blues Album of the Year” in the magazine’s year-end round-up.
Early 2025 the band was nominated for the UK Blues Awards for “International Act of the Year” for the second year in a row.
In November 2025, Bywater Call headline their third UK tour and play Planet Rock’s Planet Rockstock Festival in Wales on 27th November. Tickets are available from The Gig Cartel and Bywater Call.

Tomorrow, Friday, on October 31, 2025, French melodic death metal trio AEPHANEMER is celebrating the release of their much-awaited, new studio offering, entitled Utopie, to be unleashed via Napalm Records.
In support of the new album, the band will embark on a European tour kicking off in early November, with special guests VALHALORE, DARK OATH and WALDGEFLÜSTER. Find all upcoming live dates listed below! But to shorten your wait for the hotly-anticipated album release and tour, AEPHANEMER have just premiered a music video for their final album single “Contrepoint”, that erupts at high speeds with anthemic, baroque influences woven together with inescapably melodic black metal arrangements.
“Contrepoint was such a joy to write and play. It’s the most polyphonic track on the album,”the band comments.“Beyond its immediate catchiness, we hope listeners will discover new layers, ornaments, secondary melodies, and details — with each listen, which is exactly what we love about the music that inspires us.”
Following the roaring success of their latest album A Dream Of Wilderness(2021), the Toulouse-based melodic death metal powerhouse strikes again with their fourth studio offering. With Utopie, AEPHANEMER recalibrates their formula, surging with heavier classical influences, blistering riffage, majestic orchestrations, and Slavic folk undertones — etching a sound equally ancient and futuristic.
Blending ferocious melodic death metal with cinematic grandeur, Utopie sees the band unleash an ambitious, razor-sharp assault of epic melodies, relentless speed, and philosophical depth, pushing their sound into bold new territory. Led by the commanding presence of Marion Bascoul, AEPHANEMER delivers a fiercely technical and emotionally immersive record, lyrically exploring the uniquely mythic urgency of modern times.
“With Utopie, we set out to create a sound that brings together the elements we’ve always loved — the intensity of melodic death metal and the depth of classical music,”AEPHANEMER recently said. “We spent a lot of time shaping melodies, drawing inspiration from polyphonic writing, and building orchestral arrangements that feel both powerful and natural to us. It was a challenging but fulfilling process, and we sincerely hope listeners will connect with what we’ve crafted.”
Lyrically, the record engages with the concept of utopia not as escape, but as confrontation — dissecting philosophical ideals with their refined sonic scalpel, and pushing for a world of harmony between living beings.
Actively bucking genre conventions, AEPHANEMER continues to reinvent their path in the melodic death metal landscape. Utopieis more than just an album, it’s a storm of sound, an ideological reckoning, and a powerful new chapter from one of Europe’s most vital and visionary metal bands!

Take cover, metalheads. After outrunning the apocalypse on their last long-player, Rotten Sound are back with another destructive burst of politically-charged grindcore. On their upcoming 11th EP, the underground veterans’ worldview is more dire than ever. But Mass Extinction lays waste to all that’s plaguing our society. The album’s lead single, “Brave New World”, pushes for unity over division behind a barrage of blast beats and relentless groove.
“This is one of the most aggressive songs on our new EP”, says Rotten Sound. “‘Brave New World’ is about how misinformation, polarization, conspiracy theories and censorship has lead people into a state of distrust. Our strong sense of community has been replaced by skepticism and fear. The fight for coherent and reliable information is now a constant struggle”.
Mass Extinction comes out December 12 on Season of Mist.
Few extreme metal bands have enjoyed the shelf life of Rotten Sound. The Finnish exports longevity is practically unheard of for grindcore. The band’s core lineup of guitarist Mika Aalto, vocalist Keijo Niinimaa and drummer Sami Latva have been banging heads since 2004. Their high-speed blend of classic D-beat punk and Swedish death metal has only sharpened with each successive stab in the studio. “Brave New World” shatters your speakers like the perfectly-timed throw of a Molotov cocktail.
All eight songs on Mass Extinction were spliced from the same radioactive Petri dish that birthed Apocalypse. But Rotting Sound’s whopping 11th EP is no half-life mutation. In just under 10 minutes, the band chew through a festering host of societal ills. Ushered in by an opening address from none other than Jim Jones, “Brave New World” warns against following party lines sown by divisive leaders. “Trust no one“, Niinimaa screams over rapid-fire blasts and bludgeoning riffs that send the opposition ducking for cover.
The video for “Brave New World” was created by Shaumbra ArtVisuals.
Tracklist 1. Recycle (1:09) 2. Ride of the Future (0:45) 3. Gone (0:50) 4. Polarized (1:00) 5. Brave New World (1:21)[WATCH] 6. Empty Shells (1:05) 7. Idealist (1:35) 8. Mass Extinction (1:58) Total runtime: 09:44
Rotten Sound are ushering in Mass Extinction with a tour of South America alongside their Season of Mist labelmates DVRK and Brazil’s very own Crypta.
Next year, the band will return to the grind with a fresh set of European headline dates in support of their new EP. Following this blistering ride with Repulsive Feast and Teething, Rotten Sound will return to the U.S. for a special set at Maryland Death Fest celbrating their classic albums Murderworks and Exit.

more dates coming soon…
The state of the world has only fallen further into disrepair, but after three crust-ridden decades, Rotten Sound are still grinding. Despite production slowing to a halt during the pandemic, the Finnish vets outran the coming apocalypse on their last album. Now, two years later, they’re back with another brief but no less devastating burst. Take cover, metalheads. Rotten Sound are laying waste to social plagues with Mass Extinction.
“We like to make concise statements”, Keijo Niinimaa says about their whopping 11th EP. While the band’s longtime raging vocalist still has hope for the future, when it comes to our current state of affairs, his outlook on Mass Extinction is more dire than ever. “Bringing about real meaningful change seems to take forever. Misinformation, polarization, conspiracy theories and censorship have made everyone more distrustful”.
Few extreme bands have enjoyed the shelf life of Rotten Sound. Since emerging from underground Vaasa with their debut album Under Pressure, the Finnish exports have cultivated a reputation as one of the larger scene’s most pungent yet stabilizing presences. Niinimaa first grabbed the mic not long after guitarist Mika Aalto started the band back in 1993, while drummer Sami Lava has held the throne since 2004, when original stickman Kai Hahto left to found Wintersun. Early albums Murderworks and Exit are still widely cited road maps for grindcore, though their high-speed blend of classic D-beat punk and Swedish death metal has only sharpened with each successive stab in the studio.
“…an absolutely essential listen from a legendary band”, Invisible Oranges wrote upon the arrival of Apocalypse, Rotten Sound’s eighth and latest LP. “This is the sound of a band who have mastered the genre’s machinations and are now immortalized in its cannon”.
Each Rotten Sound release spews uncontrollable chaos, but there’s a method to their madness. Since signing with Season of Mist in 2012, the band has followed each full-length with a short statement. Like a mushroom cloud, Mass Extinction arose from the immediate aftermath of Apocalypse. All six off-the-rails tracks were laid down during the same recording sessions before getting mixed at Rain City Recorders and later mastered by Brad Boatright. But their new EP is no half-life mutation. “Recycle” whirs and churns with the all-consuming power of a supply chain.
“Napalm Death and Nasum have both done longer albums, but that’s their thing”, explains Niinimaa. “Our thing is we want to be straight to the point. After all the recording was done, we decided which songs would go on Apocalypse and which ones made sense together for Mass Extinction”.
Rotten Sound know how to get their message across. In just under 10 minutes, Mass Extinction chews through toxic consumerism, labor exploitation and other plagues on society. Lead single “Brave New World” pushes for unity over divisive politicking behind a barrage of blast beats. But while our leaders certainly need to clean up their act, there’s nothing stale about this band’s filthy brand of grindcore. Even the slightly optimistic “Idealist” gives way to a downright hostile groove upon Niinimaa’s screaming command.
“Wake up!” With so much atomic force, it’s impossible not to heed Rotten Sound’s warning on Mass Extinction.

British rocker Chez Kane is excited to share her new single and official visualizer, “Tongue Of Love”, taken from her new studio album, titled “Reckless”, out on March 27, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.
Chez commented: “Every album tells a story, and mine has a confession. “Tongue Of Love” is about leaning into desire… Bold, playful, and a little reckless. I’m so excited to share it with you guys!”
Talking about the record, Chez said: “Finally, I can tell you! The official announcement of my third album “Reckless” is here! My last album, “Powerzone” dropped in 2022, and I’ve grown a lot since then. This time around, I got hands-on and collaborated on some writing. I pushed myself hard to make something that’s bigger, bolder, and yeah… sexy as hell”.
“Massive thank you to Danny Rexon once again for being incredible to work with. Creating this with you was magic”, she added. “I can’t wait for you guys to hear what we’ve made!”
Chez Kane is back with her third studio album, “Reckless” – an explosive blend of arena-ready hooks, slick guitar work, and unapologetic 80s-style swagger. Following the success of her first two records, Chez levels up with a collection that’s bigger in sound, richer in emotion, and packed with pure melodic firepower.
Once again, written and produced by Danny Rexon, frontman of Swedish hard rockers Crazy Lixx, “Reckless” channels the golden age of melodic rock while injecting it with fresh energy and modern production.
The chemistry between Chez and Danny continues to shine, resulting in a record that blends 80s-inspired anthems, infectious hooks, and soaring vocals into a modern rock statement with attitude.
From glam-infused bangers to emotional slow-burners, “Reckless” showcases Chez’s growing confidence and undeniable charisma, proving she’s not just riding the revival wave – she’s leading it.
If you’re craving fist-pumping choruses, soaring vocals, and a no-holds-barred throwback to the glory days of rock, look no further. Chez Kane’s “Reckless” is melodic rock done right – bold, catchy, and undeniably alive.
Turn it up loud. This one’s recklessly unforgettable!
“Reckless” Tracklist:
1. Reckless 2. Personal Rock N’ Roll 3. Night Of Passion 4. Strip Me Down 5. Tongue Of Love 6. Love Tornado 7. Bad Girl 8. Street Survivor 9. Too Dangerous 10. Bodyrock
Considering they made just one album in their lifetime, Femme Fatale left one helluva mark behind them, not only on their native 80s Sunset Strip scene, but on the glam metal scene the world over.
Still fronted by the effervescent Lorraine Lewis, Femme Fatale’s first single after years out of the spotlight, “Living Like There’s No Tomorrow,” made a monster splash earlier this year; and now they’re back with “Bad Love,” a dynamite stomper that’s accompanied by one of the most incendiary videos of the year. Directed by Vicente Cordero and shot by David Hernandez, it’s a visual extravaganza that hits as hard as the song itself.
“And yes,” Lorraine confirms. “That’s real fire. We also brought in some incredible fire performers and even a real firefighter from the adult industry named Eva Angelina. Without giving too much away, let’s just say the video is HOTTT!”
Written by Lorraine, guitarist/producer Steve Brown and guitarist David Julian, “Bad Love,” she says, “is about that magnetic kind of connection you know isn’t good for you, but you keep going back anyway.
“It’s messy, it’s addictive, and it’s real. I wanted to capture that push-and-pull between desire and self-preservation. We’ve all been there. We see the red flag and still jump in headfirst… but if that red flag’s on fire? Baby, that’s your cue to run.
“I’m lucky to work with Steve,” she continues. “He is always magic. Steve and David really helped bring ‘Bad Love’ to life sonically.”
But Steve also brought in some heavy hitters for the track – the killer rhythm section of Joey Cassata on drums, and Sean McNabb on bass. Plus, what Lorraine so accurately describes as “a slaying guitar solo” from Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal.
The result is a truly pyro-powered feast for all the senses, with Lorraine looking and sounding as mesmeric as ever, and the band (with drummer Nick Mason dipping for Cassata) as electrifyingly assaultive as the song demands.
But how could they be anything else? As Lorraine say, “There’s no faking that heat”
