After taking the internet by storm with their hymn and the matching video for “Hypa Hypa” internationally as well as landing a #10 in the Official German Album Charts with their most recent EP “MMXX” ESKIMO CALLBOY are announcing new dates for their massive HYPA HYPA EUROPEAN TOUR that is taking the band to a total of 11 countries in January and February of 2022. All dates announced for January 2021 have to be moved due to the pandemic, previously purchased tickets will remain valid for all dates that have been moved. Don’t sleep on getting tickets though, some of the shows are already sold out, others were upgraded. The hype is real!

The band comments: “Today we come round the corner with a message that a lot of you might already have expected, but which still pierces us to our maltreated artist hearts. With the covid-19 pandemic still going strong, we are forced to postpone our upcoming tour in January 2021. After all these months of not being able to see you all, this tour was our ray of hope. With your help we could almost sell out the entire tour and even some extra dates. It‘s your wonderful support and feedback that makes us still stay positive! So we are happy to tell you that we’re gonna come back with a new album and the biggest release tour that we‘ve ever played. With bigger venues, more dates and a stage production that will take your breath away. And the best thing is, your tickets will stay valid for this new tour. We will provide you with more information on that topic soon. So we sincerely hope to see you on our new tour and wish you and your loved ones all the best. Take good care of each other and stay healthy. Much love, EC”

Legendary Australian rockers TASTE have released the music video for “2020’s Gone”, a new track from their upcoming EP Brothers Vol. 1 that will be available worldwide on December 23rd. You can view the video below.

Ken Murdoch sharing the idea behind the single, “2020’s Gone” was written as a anthem to kick this year’s arse and say “good riddance.” 2020 and Covid directly affected us.  As we were beginning to start recording, our drummer left due to mental issues from the lock down, to the end result being he decided not to return to music at all. That was quiet a blow to us and a band and add friends.“

Ken Murdoch, Michael Tortoni and Joey Amenta are hoping to create a universal response at 12:01AM on the 1st January 2021 by encouraging all media and musicians to join them in playing “2020’s Gone” through whatever outlet is available to you. Imagine the euphoria if we  collectively gave 2020 the send off it deserves. Good Riddance!! Join us for all the fun of singing along to this anthem.

Brothers Vol. 1 is an EP for our times but steeped in the wide-screen colours of a more progressive era. Real strings. Layers of percussion. Walls of harmony. Crafted segues, dramatic timing shifts and a vast, unified vision that befits the grandeur of its title. The band is a potpourri of Queen, Muse and 10cc. Harmonies, guitars and souring vocals abound!

No one could expect the events of Covid in 2020 so TASTE are celebrating its demise with their new single “2020’s Gone” co-written with fellow musician Les Brazil with its uplifting message lyrically and anthemic sing a long chorus. A joyous anthem for our freedom. Dealing with the anxieties and worries that has effected all of us, the song resolves with an uplifting positive message embedded in each chorus. “We need a song that we can all singalong to, at one minute past twelve, to say good riddance to what has turned out to be basically a shit year.” – Michael Tortoni

“Not only are musicians and road-crews affected financially, but the mental strain is enormous, and with calls to Beyond Blue’s 24/7 Support Service having increased during the pandemic by 48 per cent compared to the same time last year (March through August),this is why we felt we needed to take some form off action. We are donating 20% of our EP sales Profits to Beyond Blue to try and help as much as we can” Said bassist Michael Tortoni

“We’re hoping to extend a call of arms, of sorts, to fellow musicians to singalong with us to show solidarity and support for those in need” Joey Amenta Guitarist commented.

Ken Murdoch singer and songwriter said “It’s been a truly horrible year and we hope everyone will join in and say good riddance. Its a great anthem- “2020’s Gone” One that says from here on things can only get better!”

We are extremely proud to be working & supporting such an important cause and along with our record label MR Records we are happy to donate monies from the sales of the upcoming EP Brothers Vol 1 which has the Song 2020’s GONE as the first single.

WOLFTOOTH Sign Worldwide Record Deal With Napalm Records

After hustling in the underground scene for the better part of three years, Richmond, Indiana-based metal outfit WOLFTOOTH snagged the attention of Napalm Records with their multifaceted blend of classic NWOBHM and doom influences lifted by heavy stoner rock riffage. Closing out a bleak year with something very bright, the band is pleased to announce that they’ve signed worldwide contract with the premier rock and metal label!

Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Chris Sullivan, guitarist Jeff Cole, bassist Terry McDaniel and drummer Johnny Harrod, WOLFTOOTH launched in 2017 with the release of their debut EP, grabbing the attention of fans and industry alike. In early 2018, the band followed up by dropping their self-titled album, Wolftooth, to rave reviews and a “best albums of the year” chart nod via DoomCharts.com.  Immediately hitting the road in support of the album, WOLFTOOTH harvested countless new fans, building a reputation as a hard-hitting live act by supporting metal icons like Iced Earth, Sanctuary, Black Label Society, The Atomic Bitchwax,  EYEHATEGOD and The Obsessed. In 2019, the band returned to the studio to record their sophomore release, Valhalla. WOLFTOOTH expanded on their already potent sound with cleaner production, hooky choruses and colossal riffs, all while harking back to the golden age of heavy metal. The record hit the underground in mid-2020, debuting on DoomCharts.com at #1.

WOLFTOOTH says about the signing:

“In the three short years that we’ve been a band, we’ve made great strides to be heard and bring the almighty riff back into the forefront of heavy music. We are very thankful for our fans and the support they have given us on this journey. The band is also very excited for the future and about our partnership with Napalm Records – now anything is possible. We are currently writing our third album and look forward to getting on the road in 2021.”

Dark Essence Records Reveal VESTINDIEN Album Details And New Single

Posted by tarjavirmakari on December 14, 2020

Having created a substantial following for themselves, due in part to the release of the 2011 EP “We are the Lords of Hellfire”, and in part to the band’s frenetic live shows and the notoriety of having named themselves after the last surviving brothel in Bergen (now a museum) VESTINDIEN, for reasons unknown, decided to call it a day.

But, seven years later, some of the original members got together and decided that the time was right to start making music again.  Gone was VESTINDIEN’s classic 90’s hardcore sound, with its heavy metal twist, to be replaced by one that embodies the essence of Black Metal, Punk and Old School rock’n’roll.

It was a sound that intrigued Dark Essence Records enough to sign VESTINDIEN, and plan the release of the band’s debut full-length album “Null”. An album in which hints of the band’s hardcore roots are still subtly present, but  whose songs are dark, desperate and desolate, and which also include hard-hitting punches of energy and groove.

And now, fans who have been wondering what to expect from VESTINDIEN can find out, because Dark Essence Records have released the title track from the album, and it can be streamed or downloaded at https://darkessencerecords.fanlink.to/Vestindien_Null

About the single, and their more introverted and less aggressive approach to music,  VESTINDIEN’s lineup of of Torjus Slettsnok on vocals, Simon Skøien on guitars, Karl Johan Johannessen on drums and Pål Eirik Veseth on bass,  had this to say:

NULL is about not feeling comfortable in, or being able to understand a fake neon world.
NULL is about destroying norms and rules embedded in us through endless years of lies.
NULL is about taking a stance on how, and why to live.

Tracklisting for  VESTINDIEN’s debut full-length album “Null” is as follows:

1. Mot Dag
2. Berenberg
3. Meldrøye
4. Null
5. Ormegard
6. Ned
7. Øst for Sol

“Null” will be released on the 12th February 2021 in CD, DIgital and Black/Gold Vinyl formats, and is now available to pre-order from:
