Italian metallers ORACLE SUN will release their new full length album “Machine Man” on December 18th via Volcano Records.
“Machine Man” tracklist:
Edge of Life
Million to Ascension
Fallin’ Time
Machine Man
Sunset Feelings
Look Behind Me

Coming Back Running Time: 47’55”
ORACLE SUN was formed in 2002 by drummer Frank Andiver (Labyrinth, Wonderland, Shadows of Steel) and guitarist Emi Manuguerra (Angel Grace), who sum up Sigma singer Val Shieldon, Seven Gates Keyboards player Fabrizio Marnik and Shining Fury’s bass Alessandro Cola. The influence of prog/power metal is clear right from the first compositions that portrayed the first full length DEEP INSIDE (King/Scarlet Records), licensed in 2005 and claimed as one of the 2005 most interesting metal works. The band stopped for a while, due to the split of Emi Manuguerra, Fabrizio Marnik and Val Shieldon, longing for other projects. Frank Andiver and Alessandro Cola called then guitarist Tommy Pellegrini coming from Shining Fury, to start working on the following of Deep Inside; the band is completed by guitarist Vic Mazzoni (Projecto, Wonderland) and singer Wild Steel (Shadows of Steel) for the recording sessions, but the premature, unexpected passing of guitar player Vic, leave the band in an apathic and frustrated mood that last until 2017, when Oracle Sun gathered up their broken bones and found in Alessio Pascucci (keys) and Giacomo Paradiso (guitar) a new lifeblood to continue and finish what was started. Songs have been recorded and rearranged again. Full length album MACHINE MAN is ready to be released on December 18th 2020.

Three years since their critically acclaimed last album, “Black Drapes For Tomorrow”, Blackened Gothic Doom act, SHORES OF NULL, are celebrating the release of their brand new full length record, titled “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)”, with Spikerot Records! “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)” – one single 38-minute-long track! – takes the listener on a journey through the process of grieving, which is inspired by the five stages of grief formulated by Swiss-American psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. The band now unleashed the official clip to the album, an intense video of 38 minutes and 24 seconds (!), streaming right here:
“This video goes hand in hand with the theme of the song, exploring the process of grief in its black and white grandeur. In these dark times, with no live shows in sight, we wanted to offer you an intense visual experience to better capture the feelings of the album, teaming up once again with Sanda Movies, who succeeded in the exceptional task of putting the full 38-minute song into images, giving the work as a whole a much deeper meaning” the band comments.
Tracklist: 1. Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying) [38:24]

Most people would be content to receive presents and well-wishes on their birthday. Tim Roth, guitarist/founder of extreme progressive metal pioneers INTO ETERNITY, instead chose to celebrate his birthday by premiering a new song and giving fans a sneak peek at what the band is working on for their next full-length album, to be recorded in 2021. An early version of “Nuclear” – featuring Roth on guitars and vocals alongside original INTO ETERNITY drummer Jim Austin (“Into Eternity” through “The Scattering of Ashes”) sitting behind the kit – premiered yesterday on the band’s social media channels, and is available now for download/streaming at https://intoeternitysk.bandcamp.com.
A playthrough video, meanwhile, can be seen here:
Says Roth, “It was a personal goal to release one new song in the year 2020, and here we are with ‘Nuclear.’ Hopefully this can be a welcome distraction from everything that’s been happening. Thanks a million to Jim Austin for adding some interesting and crazy drum parts. It really makes everything more chaotic, but in a good way! Another goal was to create a song of just melodies, arpeggios and single-note guitar lines. I didn’t want to use any of my usual heavy guitar riffing, so ‘Nuclear’ was a new songwriting challenge. I think the song is pretty catchy, so I hope all of our supporters enjoy it! The song wouldn’t have been possible without the inspiration of Yngwie Malmsteen, Dream Theater, Death and Sebastian Bach. I’m so pumped that everyone can finally have something new from us to listen to.”
Adds Austin, “’Nuclear’ is chock-full of melody and unique songwriting. Tim has always been a better guitar player than I am a drummer, so he challenges my writing ability every time he presents me with something. This new stuff is no different. ‘Nuclear’ is cool, as it starts with an interlude – but when the interlude comes up later in the song, it sounds like a different piece entirely, as the drums are completely different. It has a very catchy chorus with a neat splash/ride/hi-hat thing going on behind it. It’s pretty chaotic, yet flows really well.”
“Nuclear” is the first INTO ETERNITY music to be released since their 2018 comeback album, “The Sirens.” That record was the group’s first full-length album in 10 years, and it was also their first to feature new vocalist Amanda Kiernan, who joined INTO ETERNITY in 2013 after the group’s previous front man, Stu Block, was asked to join Iced Earth. “The Sirens” – hailed by Blabbermouth as “everything longtime fans would expect and want” – also featured the debuts of Bryan James Newbury (drums) and Matt Cuthberston (guitars), alongside Roth, Kiernan and returning bassist Troy Bleich. The album saw INTO ETERNITY firing on all cylinders, with Kiernan’s fierce vocals and Roth’s trademark guitar heroics and vocal harmonies augmented by guest appearances from Block, Cam Dixon (ex-Annihilator) and Glen Drover (ex-Megadeth).
2020, meanwhile, saw the re-release of INTO ETERNITY’s hard-to-find 1999 self-titled debut, as well as the first-ever vinyl release of the band’s 2008 concept record “The Incurable Tragedy,” their second recording with Block. The latter record – which also features drummer Steve Bolognese (Ross The Boss, Witherfall, Death Dealer) – was written after cancer claimed the lives of Roth’s father and two best friends, resulting in the most emotionally charged album of the band’s career. Both reissues – released this past August by M-Theory Audio – can also be purchased at https://intoeternitysk.bandcamp.com.
INTO ETERNITY’s extreme progressive metal built on the pioneering work of forward-thinking acts such as Death, Cynic and Opeth, and took them around the world touring alongside a who’s who of heavy metal, from legends such as Megadeth and Dream Theater to modern heroes such as Lamb of God and Arch Enemy. The full band lineup will continue to build on their already-stellar output by returning to the studio in 2021 to record a new full-length record.
Austrian symphonic power metal outfit DRAGONY recently announced the release of their new epic full-length, Viribus Unitis, out January 15, 2021 via Napalm Records, where we return to the days when Austria was ruled by emperor Franz Joseph and his wife, empress Sisi. But forget everything you’ve heard and read so far! According to DRAGONY and their upcoming opus Viribus Unitis, the history of their home country took a completely different turn.
After releasing the smashing first offering “Gods Of War”, with special guest songwriters Tommy Johansson (SABATON) and Tomas Svedin (SYMPHONY OF TRAGEDY), the six-piece around former VISIONS OF ATLANTIS singer Siegfried Samer is breaking in with a new anthem. Accompanied by a visually palpable lyric video, the second single, “Golden Dawn”, serves a crazy turn packed into a trademark DRAGONY glory metal hymn: Vienna is crumbling and burning, World War I rages on. Through the efforts of Archduke Rudolf, who is quite close to the edge of his own sanity and his will to surrender to dark powers, Queen Sisi has returned from the dead. And she did not come back alone! Driven by old magic from the lands beyond the veil, the legions of the damned have arrived.
Singer Siegfried Samer on “Golden Dawn”: “This song deals with Archduke Rudolf’s tinkering with dark magic, as he delves deep into the rituals and teachings of the Ars Goetia, in the attempt to bring his mother, Empress Elisabeth, back from the dead. Naturally, an undertaking such as this has to go terribly wrong, and Elisabeth is resurrected, possessed by a demon, as an undead Empress of the Damned, raising an army of the undead herself and leading it into battle against all mankind. Musically, it’s a classic DRAGONY song, with a huge, catchy chorus and a symphonic middle part that is heavily supported by orchestra and thus forms an interesting contrast to the straightforward Power Metal of the first album single ‘Gods of War’.”
VAN CANTO’s Inga Scharf about the new album, Viribus Unitis: “With Viribus Unitis, DRAGONY have delivered an album with expressive and melodically rousing songs. Power, melodies and catchy riffs – a history lesson of a very special kind that catches your ears incredibly quickly and stays there. And best of all: every time you listen to it again, you discover your next favorite song.”
SABATON’s Tommy Johansson about being guest songwriter on “Gods Of War”: “What DRAGONY did to ‘Gods of War’ is far beyond what I could have expected it to turn out when this song was written. How they play and sing this song is just glorious! It’s so powerful and you can sing along to the chorus right away. I’m happy and honored I got to be a part of DRAGONY, and the song suits well to the rest of this epic album!”
