GOTTHARD & MARC STORACE Unite for ‘Liverpool’ Duet Version from Upcoming Mini-Album

Switzerland’s rock heavyweights GOTTHARD and Marc Storace (KROKUS) have joined forces for a brand-new version of ‘Liverpool’, one of the highlights and fan-favorite from GOTTHARD’s No. 1 album “Stereo Crush.”

The newly reimagined duet, sung by two of Switzerland’s most remarkable rock voices, Nic Maeder and Marc Storace, is out now on all digital platforms. The song will also be featured on GOTTHARD’s upcoming mini-album “More Stereo Crush,” set for release on March 13, 2026 through RPM.

The song gains an extra dimension through the interplay of two of Switzerland’s finest rock singers. Chris von Rohr, founder of KROKUS and longtime producer and co-songwriter of GOTTHARD, once again joins guitarist Leo Leoni and the band to give this anthem the extra boost.

This new recording highlights the enduring friendship and mutual respect that have formed the foundation of Swiss rock history for over four decades.

“It’s always been an honour for me to sing live onstage with Marc, and to get to work on and record a duet together was really fantastic. Reworking this song with Chris and Leo was really interesting. It’s gonna be super fun performing this new version of ‚Liverpool’ together.”   — Nic Maeder

“Like always, Nic and I had a great time singing together live in the studio. Chris and Leo guided us with their experienced ears and soon this version of the Liverpool-Song came alive. Now I can’t wait  to perform it at our Rock Monsters-concerts.” — Marc Storace

“What connects us are 11 years of intense, successful work together that brought many great song pearls to life. And here comes the next one. The BEATLES from Liverpool helped me tremendously in my early days to find my way. When I start with a new song, I always look for a title that doesn’t exist already, the rest comes almost naturally.“ — Chris von Rohr

Fans can experience this powerhouse line-up live at the Rock Monsters of Switzerland shows in Bern (December 19, 2025) and Zurich (December 20, 2025) where GOTTHARD and KROKUS will share the stage.

The new single paves the way for the upcoming 8-track mini-album “More Stereo Crush.” Like “Stereo Crush,” it was produced by Charlie Bauerfeind and Leo Leoni, mastered by Sascha “Busy” Bühren, and features artwork by Manuel Schütz and Thomas Ewerhard.

Finland’s masters of melancholy, KAUNIS KUOLEMATON, take the next step in the countdown to their fifth studio album “Kun Valo Minussa Kuoli” with the release of their second single, “Maailman Ainut Ihminen”. The track is accompanied by a haunting new music video that immerses viewers in the band’s signature emotional depth and introspective themes.

Following the powerful first single, “Merta”, “Maailman Ainut Ihminen” further explores the band’s unique fusion of bleak intensity and melancholic beauty that has defined KAUNIS KUOLEMATON since their formation in 2012.

Listen to the single HERE

In their own words, KAUNIS KUOLEMATON capture the song’s emotional core: “Though you stand among those dearest to your heart, a hollow silence echoes within.“

Tracklist:

  1. Kaiku
  2. Merta
  3. Kun Kyynelistä Muodostuu Meri
  4. Rauniot
  5. Maailman Ainut Ihminen
  6. Kaipaus
  7. Kun Valo Minussa Kuoli
  8. Kuura
  9. Aatos

Since their formation, KAUNIS KUOLEMATON has steadily built a unique soundscape that resonates far beyond genre borders. Blending crushing heaviness with emotional depth, the band has become a powerful voice in Finland’s metal scene — and with this new record, they continue to refine their distinct blend of melancholy and intensity.

Hailing from Hamina, the band has maintained its original lineup from the very beginning – a rarity in today’s music world. Their previous albums, “Kylmä kaunis maailma” (2014), “Vapaus” (2017), “Syttyköön toinen aurinko” (2020), and “Mielenvalta” (2023), each reflect a moment in time – evolving yet always consistent in vision.

While often associated with doom and death metal, KAUNIS KUOLEMATON’s identity goes beyond genre labels. Their outlook remains fundamentally positive and forward-looking. The success of “Mielenvalta” (2023, Noble Demon) – which reached #6 on the official Finnish physical album charts – along with sold-out club shows and strong festival appearances, shows how the band’s persistence and sincerity have resonated with fans.

Now, with “Kun Valo Minussa Kuoli” on the horizon, KAUNIS KUOLEMATON is preparing to once again immerse listeners in a world where melancholy reigns – and every note tells a story of beauty within darkness.

“Kun Valo Minussa Kuoli” will be coming out on November 28 via Noble Demon and is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

Line-up:
Olli Suvanto – Vocals
Mikko Heikkilä – Clean vocals/Guitar

MOURNIATY Released Debut Album “Musta maa” – ”Democracy with a gentle, dictatorial touch”

Finnish black metal band Mourniaty released their debut album “Musta maa” via Inverse Records.

LISTEN to the album on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/mourniaty-musta-maa

Karulainen wrote Musta Maa over a span of several years. During those years demos were discarded, but Karulainen knew a good song when he wrote one. Those songs ended up forming an album that described the mindset of the songwriter: angry, bleak and rough around the edges.

“-Feels like this album has an edge that is far too uncommon on todays music scene”, Karulainen states.

Karulainen describes Musta Maa as being ”bleak in the right way” and also different in its mid-tempo landscape, where you can hear influences from bands such as Ajattara (FIN), Dimmu Borgir (NO) or Carach Angren (NED). Combining these influences an album was born that looks and sounds exactly like its creator.

“-If something didn’t please me, I’d redo it to my own liking. Even though there is a full band playing on this album, I’d still use my veto-right when needed. These are my songs, after all. I call Mourniaty a ”democracy with a gentle, dictatorial touch”.”

Track list:

  1. Ajan saattama
  2. Musta maa
  3. All Your Lies
  4. Aika Roudan
  5. Shrines
  6. Kyynelten virta
  7. Seventh Seal
  8. A Son of the Plague
  9. Sodomia
  10. Pyhä on valani

–Mixed by Karulainen & Joona Rinne / Deep Noise Studios
–Mastered by Saku Moilanen / Deep Noise Studios
–Album cover by Karulainen

When you get fed up with Christianity and Paganism starts to arouse your interest, interesting things are often created. Sometimes this process needs an accelerant, which is exactly what happened when Karulainen and Metällinen found themselves to be merged in the same family tree. Now, what else would fresh, Finnish relatives do but make aggressive noises together? This gave an outlet for the music Karulainen had already been writing.

Finnish Mourniaty began its life as a smoldering project already in 2015. It burst into raging fire five years later, when situations in life permitted concentrating on music full-time. When bass player Tenho joined the group in 2022, Mourniaty finally became a real band instead of two men with backing tracks.

Karulainen describes Mourniaty’s music as black metal, which combines mid-tempo grooves and even symphonic arrangements combined with lyrics sung in both Finnish and English, which revolve around themes of Paganism and Anti-Christianity. The debut album, “Musta maa” (Black Earth), was released thru Inverse records on digital platforms and in cd-format in November of 2025. What a perfect soundtrack for the darkest season of the year.

Line-up:
Metällinen – drums
Tenho – bass
Liekkiö – guitar
Karulainen – vocals & guitar

BASTION ROSE Unleash Monumental Debut Album “Traces of Gold”

Hard rock band Bastion Rose is proud to announce that their highly anticipated full-length debut album, Traces of Gold, is OUT NOW on all streaming and retail platforms.

Traces of Gold serves as the powerful follow-up to the band’s acclaimed debut EP, Fade To Blue, with both projects produced by three-time Grammy-winner David Bottrill (Tool, Rush, Godsmack). The new album is an expressive, 8-track journey that immediately establishes the band as a powerful new force in modern rock.

Traces of Gold delivers a dynamic sound that fuses the riff-centric, dark sentiment of Black Sabbath and the atmospheric scope of Pink Floyd with the rhythmic intelligence and emotional intensity of post-grunge acts like Tool and Soundgarden. Bottrill’s masterful production provides both surgical clarity and crushing sonic depth, allowing the heavy grooves to collide perfectly with the raw, bluesy vocals.

The album is a deeply personal statement of resilience and transformation. Forged from frontman Austin Frink’s experience overcoming immense personal loss and a battle with cancer, the record explores the idea that while all lives are destined to suffer, precious moments are to be found that make life worthwhile—the “Traces of Gold.” This philosophical depth has garnered early critical acclaim, with SPIN Magazine praising the sound as “an appealing combination of A Perfect Circle and Bad Company.”

The album has been preceded by four successful singles: the classic rock-monster “Wild Honey,” the cathartic epic “Atlas Slumbers,” the seductive and dark “Cinnamon Fire,” and the emotionally resonant “Humble Me.” This momentum builds on the band’s foundation, which includes over one million streams on their debut EP and features in top-tier publications, including Metal Hammer Magazine and Classic Rock Magazine.

Bastion Rose reinforces its immersive sound with a powerful visual component, creating conceptual short films for every music video, exploring themes of love and fear, chaos and seduction, and life and death. Fans are invited to experience the full journey of Traces of Gold today.

Centinex, the Swedish death metal legends, have returned with their most ferocious and uncompromising offering yet. New Release With Guts And Glory is a raw, high-energy album that ditches the excess and focuses on what matters: unrelenting riffs, d-beats, and thrash-infused aggression.

Stripping away atmospheric frills and polished production, Centinex returns to their roots with a sound that combines the ferocity of early death metal with the urgency of punk. Whether it’s the punishing gallop of the riffs or the blazing d-beat drum patterns, this album is an all-out sonic assault, as fast as it is brutal, with no time to spare.

Centinex continues to deliver what only they can: fast, brutal death metal with punk energy that hits like a freight train. If you loved the aggression of old-school death and thrash, this is for you.” The band pushes themselves to the edge, delivering 8 tracks of relentless, stripped-back death metal that kicks you in the teeth from the first note to the last. It’s not pretty — it’s not supposed to be.

BEYOND THE GATES 2026 Reveals Third Wave of Bands; Nergal + Misþyrming Collab, Testament, Rotting Christ + More

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: BEYOND THE GATES. Leave a comment

Beyond the Gates is pleased to announce five new performances to the already stacked 2026 bill! The festival now welcomes U.S. thrash veterans Testament to the fold. The Bay Area pioneers have just released a powerhouse of an album, the critically acclaimed ‘Para Bellum.’ In addition to this legacy act, Greek metal legends Rotting Christ are considered innovators of the black metal scene; they will compile a very exclusive old school set for Beyond the Gates, performing songs from the period 1989 – 1995. French post-metal icons Alcest have steadfastly continued their ascent to the stars, with last years mindblowing ‘Les Chants de l’aurore’ album and their mesmerizing live shows as stepping stones. Beyond the Gates is very pleased to have them back. Vafurlogi from Iceland released their debut album ‘Í vökulli áþján’ last year. The band helmed by former Svartidauden guitarist, Þórir Garðarsson, will be a most welcome treat to festival-goers.

In addition, Beyond the Gates will present a very special collaboration between Behemoth frontman Nergal and Icelandic black metal visionaries Misþyrming. Marking the 30th anniversary of its original release, Nergal will revisit the dark origins of his musical legacy, performing Behemoth’s seminal debut, ‘Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic),’ in its entirety.

He will be joined by Misþyrming, whose raw energy and uncompromising intensity have reshaped the modern black metal landscape. Together, they will summon the primal spirit of the 1995 release — an album that laid the foundation for Behemoth’s evolution from underground obscurity to global extremity. Performed live for the first time as a full conceptual work, Sventevith will return as both a tribute and a transformation: a rare convergence of heritage and renewal, honoring Behemoth’s roots while embracing the ferocity of a new generation.

The current lineup is now as follows with many more TBA!

Testament
Beherit (First ever Norwegian show)
Alcest
