Nordic folk and Ambient project NYTT LAND from Russia has signed an official worldwide contract with Austrian rock and metal label Napalm Records!
The band’s style has been compared to Wardruna with added traditional throat singing and handmade traditional instruments such as the kravik-lyra and the tagelharpa. The band is inspired by the sounds of Siberian nature, and records have included live field-recordings of raven calls and forest sounds. Thematically, their work echoes many stories from Norse mythology and historic texts such as the Poetic Edda. In keeping with this tradition, much of NYTT LAND‘s lyrics are written in and sung in the Old Norse language.

Australia Desert Rockers FULL TONE GENERATOR have teamed up with OG Californian Desert Legend Nick Oliveri (QOTSA, Kyuss, Mondo Generator) for a double A side single that has enough attitude to rip the balls of a low flying bald eagle.
Without A Sound features Nick Oliveri on lead vocals and was jointly recorded in Melbourne Australia and Joshua Tree California, strap yourself in for a ride that will take you right back to 90’s Desert Rock. Without A Soundis backed by the equally as viciousIf You Want Me.
Full Tone Generator started as an idea hatched on the beaches of Australia by Andy Fernando and bought to fruition in the Californian Desert by Andy Fernando, Brant Bjork and Brad Young.
While Don Fernando (band) were on a break in early 2018 Andy was looking for another outlet for his new songs and took it upon himself to contact the one and only Brant Bjork (Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Brant Bjork and the Low Desert Punks). Andy had met Brant while touring together in Australia in 2017 and the guys had developed a friendship over their mutual love of Gin, Rock n Roll and the Ramones. After some late-night text messages and emails Andy sent Brant some of his new demos and asked if he would be interested in working together on a new project.
Andy’s vision was to take his new songs into the spiritual home of stoner rock and record them with one of the forefathers of the genre, Andy needed a drummer and producer, luckily Brant is both. Brant proposed that they head out into the desert and setup a mobile studio in a remote location to record an LP with Brant playing drums and producing the record with the assistance of Bubba Dupree. Andy could not have hoped for a better outcome for this new project, he enlisted local muso and bandmate Brad Young on guitars and bass and Full Tone Generator was born.
In late 2018 their debut album Valley Of The Universe was released worldwide to rave reviews, Andy then enlisted the services of Ben Hall and Mat Evans to fill out the live line-up of the band and went out on the road to promote the release. The band that started as a recording project has now developed into a fully fledged band and have just finished an ISO collaboration with none other than Nick Oliveri (Kyuss, Queens of the Stoneage) and are working on their next full length release.

THE PRETTY RECKLESS have recently announced their fourth album “Death By Rock And Roll”. The album will arrive on February 12th, 2021 via Century Media Records worldwide, excl. USA.
The album, which follows 2010’s “Light Me Up”, 2014’s “Going to Hell”, and 2016’s “Who You Selling For”, is titled after the first single, which rocketed to No. 1 on the rock charts in the US and held strong for several weeks. It marked the fifth No. 1 single of the band’s career and was heralded by Paper, Loudwire, CNN, Forbes, and more. The band also has the incredible and impressive distinction of being the first female-fronted band to have back-to-back No. 1 singles at the active rock format and the first female-fronted act to have five No. 1 singles on the Billboard chart.
“DEATH BY ROCK AND ROLL” TRACK LISTING: “Death By Rock And Roll” “Only Love Can Save Me Now” “And So It Went” “25” “My Bones” “Got So High” “Broomsticks” “Witches Burn” “Standing At The Wall” “Turning Gold” “Rock And Roll Heaven” “Harley Darling”
On February 5th, CULT OF LUNA will release a new EP, entitled The Raging River, via Red Creek (red-crk.com) – the band’s newly created record label, which will be physically distributed by Metal Blade Records (in North America) and Season of Mist (in Europe). For a first preview of The Raging River, the new single “Three Bridges” can be heard now here:
Pre-order The Raging River at: metalblade.com/cultofluna (North American ltd edition pre-order; vinyl & CD) and red-crk.com (limited editions, band merch & more).
The Raging River is a seamless continuation of the writing process and the creative mindset that has guided Cult of Luna for the last couple of years. “‘The Raging River‘ feels more like a bridge. A midpoint that needs to be crossed so we can finish what we started with 2019’s ‘A Dawn to Fear,'” the band adds. “It’s been an interesting, as well as an introspective, way of working, having our instinct leading the way and then having to figure out where it takes us. But not only has it been a linear journey; some aspects of it are also clearly circular. For example, we have been a fan of Mark Lanegan for many years. So in 2005, when we wrote the song ‘And With Her Came the Birds’, we had his voice in mind, and the working title was ‘The Lanegan Song’. But we were not many years over 20, and our lack of self-confidence prevented us from even daring to ask. It took fifteen years for us to get the guts to ask him. Hearing his voice on ‘Inside Of A Dream’ is nothing more than feeling that we’re inside of a dream.”
