Now in 2020 they are back with not only a new album, but a special treat for their fans: a Christmas musical power metal album entitled “A Christmas Carol”. It’s pure symphonic power metal in the true MAJESTICA spirit along with elements inspired by the likes of TWILIGHT FORCE, RHAPSODY, ALAN SILVESTRI, DANNY ELFMAN and JOHN WILLIAMS.
Today, the band announces another gift for everyone: a calendar with one minute episodes coming every day between the 1st and the 24th of December on all MAJESTICA social medias. Running through the story from start to finish in a theatrical way similar like the music video of ‘Ghost of Marley’. Tommy Johansson comments: ”This year we will present for you our very first Christmas calender! Everyday we will, like the tradition requires; open a box from our special made MAJESTICA-Calender wich contains new suprises every day. Since our upcoming album ”A Christmas Carol” is a Symphonic Power Metal Musical Christmas album we put up the entire story of Ebenezer Scrooge to a musical based upon our songs, feat. lots of actors on stage to really provide the true musical feeling. The music will sometimes differ from the original versions to make it even more special! We will also provide you clips from how the album was recorded, behind the scenes of making the musical and the music videos. And to top it all off – we will every now and then have some MAJESTICA Christmas give aways. How can be more Power Metal Christmas than this? Maybe it can’t? We hope everyone will enjoy it and that everyone can get the same Christmas feeling from day 1 like we have had since July. So Merry Christmas from MAJESTICA and we give you: A Christmas Carol – The Symphonic Power Metal Christmas Musical!”
Tracklist: 1. A Christmas Carol 2. Christmas Story 3. Ghost of Marley 4. Ghost of Christmas Past 5. The Joy of Christmas 6. Ghost of Christmas Present 7. Ghost of Christmas to Come 8. A Christmas Has Come 9. A Majestic Christmas Theme
What makes this a unique Christmas album is not just the inclusion of plenty of well‐known Christmas songs, but also because the theme is the well‐known story of Ebenezer Scrooge from the Charles Dickens novel “A Christmas Carol”. With many different voices for the many characters in the story alongside fitting music, people will not only hear a newly well‐written power metal album, but also a power metal musical that gives you a unique Christmas feeling.
The vocals are once again in the vein of Michael Kiske, Tobias Sammet and Sebastian Bach, but this time together with guest singers from such bands as VEONITY, HOT BEEF INJECTION and all the members from MAJESTICA doing lead vocals. The artwork is made by underground artist Madeleine Andersson.
On the previous album “Above The Sky” people can hear the legendary drummer Uli Kusch (ex‐HELLOWEEN, ex‐GAMMA RAY, Ex‐MASTERPLAN). On this album MAJESTICA have the great drummer Joel Kollberg (VEONITY) who doesn’t only plays the drums like he was born to do it, he also loves power metal and knows exactly what is needed. The music was written, recorded and produced by MAJESTICA at Nygård, Ekshärad during the summer of 2020. Mixing and mastering of this album was made by Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, RAUBTIER) at Black Lounge Studios.
Finnish Rockers GENTLE SAVAGE, formed in 2013, have unleashed their new analog animation music video ‘Honey Bunny -the Rock’n Roll transformation’. Furthermore the band reveals more details on the video and how it was born.
Watch the ‘Honey Bunny -the Rock’n Roll transformation’ video here: hyperurl.co/HoneyBunny
What happens when you combine hand painted art, rock music and digital art?
You get more than the total of the three. Something that reaches higher and gives the end product, in this case the analog video, a wider palette of ways to implicate meanings and transmit emotions.
Team behind Gentle Savage’s new video are the musicians, a graphic artist and a photographer. With love for the comic books and inspired by good old stories like Alice in Wonderland, Kalevala and Osiris Myth, they came up with a story of a human like creature who ends up on a trip to the Underworld. It’s obvious, that it is the adventure of his life. Transformated and after finding the love of his life, Mr. Bunny decides to stay in the Underworld. No turning back!
Lead vocalist Tornado says: “I find a very clear analogy in the story right to my own life. Without any further explanations the upper most feeling is that now we’ve created something special. We wish all the viewers a good adventure hoping it puts a smile on your faces. Never give up on your dreams, go for the adventure!”
The art was made by the Finnish graphic artist Jyrki Heikkinen. The story was created by Tornado Bearstone and Jyrki Heikkinen alongside the Gentle Savage’s guitarist Tim O’Shore.
“Break the boundaries, find your own way!”
Earlier the band unveiled that the video takes you on a journey to the underworld. The main character, ’Mr. Bunny’, tumbles down a mysterious hole in the ground ending up in the Underworld. Whilst he is falling, he transforms from a regular rabbit into a two legged walking human-like Rock ’n Roller. Feeling a little dizzy in the head, Mr. Bunny starts his journey in the underworld. He ends up hanging with the bad ass ’Lady Bunny’ who teaches him some moves ’n manners. In the end Mr. Bunny has a big decision to make….
Lead vocalist Tornado adds: “Since I was a kid I’ve always loved comic books. First it was Tarzan, Lucky Luke, Tin Tin and Asterix. Later I found Conan and the Marvel characters, with a variety from ’high end’ comic books to more splatter-like stories. Comic book art is a beautiful, yet underappreciated form of art. Computers have taken the place of a brush, paper and hand painting, but it’s good to remember that Spiderman and his buddies weren’t born in the movies. First there were comic books”.

Gentle Savage’s debut album, ‘Midnight Waylay’ is coming out in February 2021. It’s a way of describing an ambush at midnight, or going to a rock show; you never know what’s going to happen out there.
Midnight Waylay depicts a ‘taking it easy in the daytime, turning into a beast at night’ kind of lifestyle. Just like a hunter strikes from the shadows, ruthless and silent, these songs can without warning rock your world.
As a concept the album Midnight Waylay is best appreciated when served whole, but each song has its own character and works well independently. Find your own adventure, let yourself loose!”
“It is all about the songs. And their internal message. That’s the basic philosophy behind Gentle Savage.”
GENTLE SAVAGE are: Tornado Bearstone, songwriter, vocals and guitar Jay B, drums and backing vocals Vance Bead, bass and backing vocals Tim O`Shore, guitar and backing vocals Theo van Boom, keyboards and backing vocals
’Treat yourself and let our magic in. We’ll take care of the rest’.

BLITZ release their Christmas single ‘I Believe In Xmas (Do You Believe In Rock And Roll)’ in aid of Cancer Research UK on Friday 4 December 2020. BlitZ ask their fans to donate to the online page and then download the song. Donate here
Sometimes there’s a million reasons not to do something, other people not getting it, what will the cool brigade say, “NOT ANOTHER XMAS SONG”. So when BlitZ decided to record a Xmas song in aid of Cancer Research UK, they thought let’s show the world that the Rock Community is full of cool people who want to make a difference, they knew it was the right thing to do.
This is more than a Xmas song it’s a rallying call to try and help and send out a lifeline to people fighting Cancer and our awesome NHS. “Never give up, never give in.”
Every song has a story and this song’s story is about never giving up and never giving in. First diagnosed in 2012 with non-Hodgkinson’s low-grade follicular lymphoma, which is a treatable but not curable blood cancer and also cancer in the bones and bone marrow, Gail Corden (wife of Stuart Corden lead vocalist and bass player of the rock band BlitZ) began her first chemotherapy treatment in April 2015. After being carefully monitored for three years, Gail was in remission for nearly five years. The cancer returned in June of this year and a further course of chemotherapy was commenced in July and is currently on-going.
BlitZ decided to return to the studio and record a Christmas song, a rallying call to raise money for Cancer Research UK and throw some positivity out into the universe at these dark times. This song is in no way a compromise or sell out. This song stays true to the BlitZ vibe and the true spirit of rock and roll.
Rebecca Elphick, Local Fundraising Manager for Cancer Research UK said: “Cancer Research UK’s vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Thanks to our supporters, like BlitZ, our pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped save millions of lives. In the 1970s, less than a quarter of people with cancer survived. But over the last 40 years, survival has doubled – today half will survive. Our ambition is to accelerate progress and see three-quarters of people surviving the disease by 2034. However, COVID 19 threatens to severely impact our cancer research and making our ambition of improving cancer survival to 3 in 4 by 2034 more difficult. Unfortunately, COVID 19 has hit our fundraising hard and we’re predicting a drop in income of £160million this year. As the pandemic continues, our need for support has never been greater. Vital research has been paused and we have already been forced to make £44million of cuts to research spend this year, and we’ll need to reduce the amount of research we fund annually. However, we will adapt and continue to fund the best scientists in the UK. Your support and donations will help us achieve this.”
From the dark north of Sweden comes the Melodic Death/Black Metal band MAESTITIUM. Tale of the Endless is the debut EP telling the story of three people with troubled and dark minds, full of anger, despair and sorrow. With inspiration from bands like Insomnium, Hinayana and Wolfheart, Tale of the Endless brings epic melodies, blasting drums and a handful of atmosphere. It’s composed/recorded by Elias Westrin (Guitars, Vocals, Synths, Orchestrations) and is mixed/mastered by Robin Leijon. Tale of the Endless features studio musicians like Nils Fjellström aka Dominator’ (Nordjevel, Myrkskog, Odium, ex Dark Funeral, Aeon,) on drums and Anton Flodin (Deathbreed) on bass.
Today the band has released their first track Tale of The Endless.
This is what Elias had to say about the track “Tale of the Endless“, on the other hand is “the hard hitter”. It’s “about a man who’s ready to leave this world, and his journey to the end.” Definitely dark subject matter, and both the darkness and intensity of the subject are reflected in the music. But, as forecast above, the song is also undeniably exhilarating.
