ABERTOOTH LINCOLN Release New Single ‘Soup For My Family’

Hailing from Dayton, Ohio ABERTOOTH LINCOLN are an aggressive, spacey hardcore progressive punk band. Their music is heavy, weird, complicated and can flip genres within seconds. But the bottom line is they are unique and refreshing. On the back of their recent single and video Hell House, ABERTOOTH LINCOLN have dropped a new single Soup For My Family via Riot Records. Again, it is another tour de force of musical innovation.

“This song is a response to the violent and subversive actions taken by undercover federal officers, police and right-wing militia against BLM protesters during the summer of 2020 in US cities. In Portland, Oregon people were literally pulled off of the street and forced into unmarked cars for simply protesting. The military sought to use heat ray guns against protesters in DC in September. Federal troops were sent into cities, and there are countless, documented examples of “mysterious people” taking actions to discredit the movement, doing things such as “brick baiting” or vandalizing property in an effort to distort the story and incite further destruction that could then be blamed on the protests. Then you have police gassing the streets to make way for Trump to stand in front of a church, bible in hand, for a photo shoot. Sounds like some ‘Escape from New York’ level fiction, but it’s really happening. This is our very angry song about it.”  – ABERTOOTH LINCOLN

ABERTOOTH LINCOLN‘s music is heavy, weird, complicated, and they will destroy the stage with glittery space pants and 80’s glam metal vibes. Their lyrics bounce between biting satire and direct, harsh social commentary, delivered with commanding energy from front person Edith Coleslaw aka Ashley Pooler. You will not forget this band.

“Everyone in attendance was entirely floored by the sheer energy and powerful voice of Ashley Pooler and the brutality of the rest of the band.”
– Razorcake

The ability to do all of this seamlessly has always impressed me on record, and left my jaw hanging open more than once when I’ve seen them live.”
 – Punknews.org

“The fact that they deliver their message surfing on a groundswell of churning space-jazz and straight-up hostel noise really sealed the deal for me. They’re welcome back to Chicago any time as far as I’m concerned. And if they want to start some fires next time they’re in town, that’s fine too.”

INGLORIOUS To Release New Album “We Will Ride” In Feb 2021, New Single Unleashed

Up-and-coming British hard rockers INGLORIOUS have announced the release of their fourth studio album, “We Will Ride” on February 12, 2021. This will be their first official recording with new members guitarists Danny Dela Cruz and Dan Stevens and bassist Vinnie Colla, who join original members vocalist Nathan James and drummer Phil Beaver.

Watch the video for first single, “She Won’t Let You Go” here:

Pre-order/save the album HERE: https://orcd.co/wewillride CD/LP/Digital available, including Limited Edition White Marble Vinyl from the band store and label stores.

The first time the band’s current line-up recorded an album together will be one they certainly won’t forget as they entered the studio in the middle of UK’s COVID-19 lockdown. Staying mindful of the six foot rule as much as reasonably possible, they set about crafting their love letter to rock ‘n roll and hard rock. Recorded in Cardiff with the renowned producer Romesh Gogandoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine, Motörhead), this album sees the band renewed and rejuvenated.

“The writing for this album was honestly the most pleasurable and relaxed experience I have had as a writer,” says vocalist Nathan James. “We had so much fun and made sure not to force the songs that weren’t working. One of my favourite songs, ‘She Won’t Let You Go,’ was actually written by Danny and myself before he was even in the band.”“I had a lot of time to think about what I wanted to write about on this album due to Covid-19 pushing the recording back twice. I chose to write about things that have inspired me in the last two years. Like everyone right now, I am consuming much more TV than usual, in the form of dark and sinister Netflix documentaries mostly. These have definitely inspired the stories this time around. As far as the sound of the album and the recording process, it was very different than anything this band has done before. Recording with this line up for the first time and also it was our first time ever working with a producer. Romesh Dodangoda has really made this album sound unlike anything we have created before and the new guys have brought influences to our music that I’m super excited to show everyone,” concludes James.

“To me, this album is a snapshot of the combined musical expression we’ve created over the last couple of years, all in one place. It’s amazing to think a lot of these ideas were developed in our homes and on tour. To hear them as finished songs is a fantastic feeling. I’m so proud to be part of this album with these world class musicians, and fantastic friends too. I hope everyone enjoys the album as much as we enjoyed making it. I’m proud to say that my first ever album will be, Inglorious’ “We Will Ride,” says guitarist Danny Dela Cruz. Adds drummer Phil Beaver, “I feel like the circumstances actually made this recording session really special. We’d all been in lockdown due to the pandemic and hadn’t seen anyone outside of our own homes for months. It was so much fun to not only be playing music again, but socialising as a band and having fun, whilst practicing social distancing as best we could. We laughed like little kids all day, every day!”

Continues Beaver, “It was great working with Romesh! We’ve never worked with a producer before. He really helped whip us into shape. As we’d had no pre-production, we just went straight in. The way in which we tracked this record meant that this wasn’t a problem. We tracked all of the instruments individually, as most bands do these days. Meaning that the pressure of getting that golden take as a whole band was off. We worked through things, and picked apart the songs as we went along. Romesh is a great producer. He didn’t wanna do it all his way, but rather work as part of the team to achieve what I think is the bands best work.”

“I’m so proud of how this album has turned out. The writing sessions were so organic and we even have a song on the album that was born from a soundcheck riff on the first tour we did together. The chemistry within the band was there from the start and I think it shows in the music. It was a challenging experience recording an album during a lockdown with no pre-production, but the way Romesh works really brought out the best in us. I can’t wait to share this album with everyone, and especially to play these songs live,” adds guitarist Dan Stevens.“Recording the album during these crazy times we are facing was definitely one of the most challenging and amazing experiences I’ve ever been through. I’m so proud to be able to record such a high standard album with the most talented musicians and producer ever,” says bassist Vinnie Colla.

CICADASTONE Release Official Video For ‘Out of Sight’

Melbourne-based alternate hard rockers CICADASTONE have released the official video for their latest single Out of Sight out now via Golden Robot Records.

Out of Sight is the follow up to the recently release singles Dying In Sunshine and Box Of Anger. All three tracks are taken from their upcoming 2021 album Cold Chamber.

“Out of sight is a song about self-discovery and challenging yourself to know who you really are. To admit your faults and be ok with it. We are who we are even if we wanna be something else. Look within yourself and ask that question. Are you happy with who you are? You should be, but It’s easy to lose sight of a vision and hard to stay focused on your goal. We’re always cascading out of sight….’’
– Cicadastone

With unique instrumentation and biting vocal intensity characterising the latest offering from Cicadastone, Out Of Sight, will go a long way towards establishing them as one of Australia’s hottest new rock acts.

Stream/buy Out of Sight HERE

Melbourne-based four piece Cicadastone deliver music that packs a punch. With an old school 90’s influences and a slick modern edge, Cicadastone have found their own space in the grunge rock genre. Formed in 2013 by founding members and brothers Mat and Mark Robins, they have spent the last few years honing their sound and live show, as well as constantly writing and releasing quality music.

In 2016 Cicadastone released their debut album Chance Collide. A bold statement and an impressive first release. Songs like Drown My Hopes, Forgotten Fears, Oh Satellite and Headlights On showcased Cicadastone’s song writing maturity and diversity. Sonically the album holds its own on an international level. 2019 saw Cicadastone sign with Golden Robot Records to release their highly anticipated second album titled Cold Chamber. It’s an album that continues to push the grunge rock boundaries and a natural progression forward for the band. They’ve developed their own unique sound while staying truly authentic to the genre, a difficult task in a time when it’s all been done before.

Cold Chamber is currently slated for release in early 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic crisis.

KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD BAND Release New Video ‘Blue on Black’

KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD BAND will release their new album ‘Straight To You: Live’ on November 27th, via Provogue Records. Today the band has unveiled a new video ‘Blue on Black’, watch it below.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd:

Blue on Black is an absolute staple of our show. I’ve been playing that song for more than 20 years, and I still enjoy playing it. As a songwriter it’s the song that I always hoped to write. It’s a timeless song that doesn’t really seem to age.  A little over a year ago a new version of it came out with the Five Finger Death Punch guys, Brian May, myself and Brantley Gilbert and  it went straight to #1 on the rock charts again. As a songwriter to have a #1 hit twice with the same song is really rare, and certainly something I am very proud of.

The calls have been coming for a long time explains Shepherd.  “People have been asking us to do a live DVD forever, for decades,” he explains. “We’ve been working so much focussing on studio recordings. But I’ve been hearing the call from the fans for many years now,” and, as live music has come to a standstill, the band wanted to give the fans a taste once again of that experience and this blistering set shows them in full force.

Their only other live output, the ’Live! In Chicago’ album was released a decade ago and got itself a Grammy nomination along the way, but this time around for 2020, you get to watch the band in its full glory as well as listen. In the last 10 years the multi-platinum selling Shepherd has gone from strength to strength, winning countless awards, releasing four studio albums and touring the world over several times – from Brazil to Europe, India to Canada and US to Australia and beyond.

‘The Traveler’ was released in May last year, giving the band their 8th US Billboard Blues #1 album, when they hit the road. The ‘Traveler World Tour’ was interrupted when the Covid-19 pandemic broke, and the world came to a standstill. This show took place at the famous Leverkusen Jazzstage for the iconic German TV show, Rockpalast on 25th November 2019.

The seven-piece band took the stage and immediately launched into their most-recent hit-single ‘Woman Like You,’ with the honey-soaked powerhouse voice of Noah Hunt blasting “I ain’t looking for a one time girl” backed by the fiery fretwork of Shepherd. It’s the first of four songs taken from the latest studio album, “‘Woman Like You’ is the perfect opening song for the show,“ Shepherd says. “You come out swinging, it sets the mood for the entire show. It’s like, we’re there to rock, and we mean business.”

Italian alternative rock / metal four-piece STARSICK SYSTEM have announced the release of a brand new single called ‘Song For The Sleepless Souls’, a strong successor to the band’s latest successful EP ‘HALF’ released in 2018, which helped the band to start breaking into the international scene. Packed with a bold and energetic sound, this new single combines juddering vocal and explosive guitar, with hooks that will pull you in and become one of those earworms you can’t shake off. The band is working on a full album to be released next spring 2021.

Official video of ‘Song For The Sleepless Souls’ here:

“After our EP “Half” we’ve never stopped working, writing, playing. But we got to a point where we stopped and wondered what direction to take: the answer came naturally after we wrote this piece (together with many others..).” The band says. “This more modern and aggressive mood, yet  always melodic, perfectly describes who we are now and what we want to give our listeners. A new return, a new sound, thoughts and emotions we lived, with all the awareness coming from the experiences we made.”
