Ever since the release of their 2018 debut EP Space Wanders & Bleeding Hearts, ALICEISSLEEPING belong to one of the most unique acts in London’s music scene today.
Fronted by vocalist and five-stringed bassist Alice ( formerly MAB ), the band takes inspiration from the vast palette of heavy rock, drawing on everything from ’70s prog rock to 90s, while fans of Smashing Pumpkins, Rush and even early Queen will find a nostalgic — if hallucinatory — home in Aliceissleeping. Alice’s vocals swagger schizophrenically between ferocious screams and banshee operatics, accompanied by shredding riffs and thunderous drum beats!
Now, the psychedelic grunge rock trio is ready to release their debut full-length, titled Completely Fine, on February 5th 2021 through Mandrone Records. Get a first appetizer and watch the more than promising album teaser by Aliceissleeping here:
Says the band: “The first album is important for every band and this is very much so for us, of course.. and it will be out on vinyl! This multiplies the excitement!
And If we know our fans (and we know them!) we’re sure that they will find what they really want in it: Alice’s huge vocals, Dan’s guitars textures and Jon sophisticated Drumming.
Each song has its own flavour and they complement each other and make our sound pretty unique.
The recording was a long, fun and intense process which started one year ago and completed just before the first lockdown. Working on this album was one of the few positive things that happened to us during this troubled 2020. We can’t wait for it to see the light!“
Completey Fine Tracklist: 01. Outsiders 02. Felix 03. Over And Over Again 04. Twilight 05. Scary Mary 06. Alien 07. Not Cool 08. Negotiating Sex 09. Lost Girls
The album was produced by Aliceissleeping and engineered by Will Maya (The Answer) between England and Spain. The artwork, inspired by b-movie posters, was created by Federico Salis.
Completely Fine will be released as Vinyl, CD and in Digital formats on February 5th 2021 via Mandrone Records, the pre-sale has just started at THIS LOCATION!
Sydney hard rockers AVALANCHE are back with their new single Get Back (To F*ckwit City), out now via X-Ray Records.Get Back (To F*ckwit City) is the follow up to their recent single Permanent Ink.
Avalanche are 4 misfits from Sydney’s west, playing electrifying, roof-crashing, rock n’ roll for a new generation.
Get Back (To F*ckwit City) is a raw, punchy and anthemic ode to the band’s hometown and the often-fascinating civilians which reside in it. Recorded at DEF WOLF Studios with producer and engineer Mark Matula, the track utilises a warm, old-school feel, practically recorded live in the studio with a no fills, no frills, guitar-in-amp, stripped-back approach. This is the song you’ll be singing in your head whenever you’re stuck in traffic, when you miss your train, when your boss pi**es you off, when your folks kick you out, when you’re cut off at the bar… when you’re urinating on a city wall in front of a cop. This is your song.
Recently signed to X-Ray Records, Avalanche are 4 misfits from Sydney’s west, playing electrifying, roof-crashing, rock n’ roll for a new generation. Forming and rehearsing in an old steel factory in 2018, the band have firmly cemented themselves into the sticky floors of the national underground scene in just 2 short years, with major national & international airplay, 4 major releases, non-stop gigging and touring, and their own music festival.
Avalanche are hard rock. Real honest to God hard rock, as only 20-somethings from Sydney’s West; famous for producing tradies, drongo’s and long-arse Centrelink queues; can do. Tinged by the influence of their dad’s record collection and the dirty pub rock of Australia’s past, but played through the interpretation of their own generation. Avalanche have moulded and captured their signature sound & live show in ‘Get Back (To Fuckwit City)’, one which routinely leaves the audience covered in blood, sweat and spit – and walking away feeling like you’ve just been punched in the gut.
Recent single ‘Permanent Ink’ has reached over 5k streams on Spotify and the Music Video has reached over 23k views on YouTube and 102k+ on Facebook. If you like tattoos, sweaty musicians, bras getting thrown on stage, and the mighty Thor… you’ll love the music video. It was partly shot at Blacktown Tattoo, a legendary tattoo studio in Sydney’s west, with the rest was shot at Avalanche of Rock Fest, the band’s own bi-annual music festival at Crowbar, Sydney, which featured a whopping 11 band line-up including such local legends as C.O.F.F.I.N., The Darrans, Fait Accompli and Eightball Junkies. Additionally, the band’s very first EP ‘Sent From Hell’ released in May 2019, has sold over 1200 physical copies worldwide, spearheaded by their international distributor Sliptrick Records. The band have enjoyed repeated airplay across all their releases on over 150+ national & international radio stations, podcasts and playlists with their last two singles ‘Permanent Ink’ and ‘Balls Deep’ reaching Valley FM 89.5’s, Banks Radio Australia and Radio Alliance’s Top 10 in the charts in March 2020 and February 2019 respectively.
The band have been interviewed, reviewed and featured in a multitude of local and international publications including Heavy Mag, Happy Mag, Hysteria Mag, The Music, The Sydney Morning Herald, VENTS Magazine and countless more. ‘Sent From Hell’ was also a runner up in the 4th Annual Beautiful Car Crash Podcast Awards for Best Australian Rock E.P. of 2019, alongside Fangz, Black Aces, Echo Del Tusker and winners; Bad Moon Born. In February, the band were asked to host the Metal Express Radio Guest DJ hour, who’s previous hosts included members of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Y&T, Exodus and more. And in August, the band was interviewed live on ABC Illawarra’s ‘Drive’ by the infamous Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall from Frenzal Rhomb, and on VOX FM Wollongong, in promotion of the band’s most recent string of shows in Sydney and the Illawarra.
SYMBOL OF ORION offer a unique sonic landscape, complete with taut riffs and a relentless edge. Originally from Nepal, the band are now based in London. Proudly DIY SYMBOL OF ORION have independently self-released five singles, an EP, and 2018’s full-length studio album, Unlamented.
The quartet incorporate musical instruments and soundscapes from their own heritage, regularly using Nepalese folk instruments such as a Tungna, and a native string instrument, called Sarangi, to help diversify their sound. This innovative combination of showcasing both traditional Nepalese folk and modern metal music is indicative of the band’s approach and overall attitude.
‘Orion’ is taken from Greek mythology – the great hunter of old, which references the band’s own ancestors.
In their history, SYMBOL OF ORION have performed alongside Cancer Bats, Underside, and Wretched Soul, among others, whilst also drawing inspiration from Slayer, Metallica, Sepultura and Gojira.

ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN comments, “Ozzy is an influence to all of us and it’s important to pay your respect and appreciate people while they are still here with us. He’s the prince of darkness, he’s earned it! We are stoked to share our take on this classic banger.”
ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN’s ‘Bark At The Moon’ cover was recorded at AOA Studios in June 2020. The band produced the single while engineering was completed by Ryan Sorensen and mixing was handled by Mark Lewis. The artwork for the single was created by Thrashwolf (Logan Gray).

Rising New England death metal agitators FUMING MOUTH have officially joined Nuclear Blast, and will release a new EP titled “Beyond The Tomb” on November 20th. Today, the band has launched a pre-order for the record and debuted crushing new song, “Master of Extremity.” The EP follows the band’s critically lauded, breakout album “The Grand Descent,” which Stereogum affectionately called a “positively disgusting record, an ugly and cathartic full-length rage-vent,” with BrooklynVegan stating it was “one of the finest debuts of its kind in recent memory.”
Commenting on their signing to Nuclear Blast, vocalist/guitarist Mark Whelan states: “The first time I spoke to Monte Conner at Nuclear Blast it clicked. We had finally found someone with the same exact goals as us. They’re a label that strives to see their bands at their best and we’re a band that thrives off that energy. WE HAVE SIGNED TO NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS, and I want to scream it in your face until you hear me.”
Formed in 2013, FUMING MOUTH has been on a mission to create an unbridled brand of death metal. The band set out as a 3 piece taking influence from bands like DISMEMBER while simultaneously taking inspiration from the likes of MOTORHEAD. Geared up now as a 4-piece band, they set out ready to take on the world with a brand new EP titled “Beyond the Tomb” and Nuclear Blast Records right by their side.
