Last Friday, November 13th, the Hard Rock powerhouse PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS from Wales finally released their new album “We’re The Bastards”. To celebrate the news, the band has unveiled a video for “Born To Roam” that you can watch here:
Phil Campbell on the new song: “If you want some feel good rock n roll to help you through these continuing depressing times and need something to uplift your spirits then buy this album! You won’t regret it”
Chicago legends of Murder Metal/Death Metal are proud to release their demented, heinous bloodbath of an album, Carnival Of Killers on this fitting Friday the 13th. In the usual MACABRE fashion and staying true to their name, they offer fans the perfect road trip sing-a-long coupled with a visually disturbing video for the single “The Wheels On The Bug” which chronicles the Ted Bundy murder spree.
MACABRE’s Corporate Death comments, “In our music, we tell true stories about different killers and you will gather information from our songs. It is like reading a newspaper article about these people but we tell stories via our music. I like to call it creative story telling about very bad people. My mother used to buy me children’s records, from an early age, she saw that I liked to sing along. ‘The Wheels On The Bug’ is based on a song from a record my mother bought for me when I was young. I used to sing that song on the school bus. It must have stuck with me, as all these years later I’m still singing it, only we changed it up and made it more MACABRE.”
The video was helmed by award-winning filmmaker, Ryan Oliver who’s previously directed the MACABRE music video for “Your Window Is Open” as well as videos for The Atlas Moth, Bill & Phil, Child Bite and Lair of the Minotaur. The video was produced in hand with his colleagues at The Rot Shop, a fabrication and FX shop in Chicago where the same group has previously made props and FX for many artists including MINISTRY and METALLICA. “Carnival Of Killers” was recorded and mixed by Tomek Spirala of Studio1134 with the exception of drum tracks as he recorded them at Kiwi Audio with the help of Mark Walker. The mastering of “Carnival Of Killers” was handled by J.F. Dagenais at JFD Studios in Dallas, TX. The “Where’s Waldo” meets serial killer album artwork was created by Corporate Death (lead singer | guitarist Lance Lencioni) and artist Laz Gein and highlights the album’s most memorable references.

DEPTHS OF HATRED return with their new album, Inheritance, their first full length release via Prosthetic Records – due out on March 19, 2021. With a new vocalist, a new sound and a new energy to kick off 2021 – DEPTHS OF HATRED have lost none of the technical edge that made them stand out from the death metal pack. To accompany the album announcement, lead single Fastidious Imitation is available on all streaming platforms. Inheritance is available to pre-order now.
On the next chapter of the band, DEPTHS OF HATRED comment, “We worked hard with our new lineup and on our new sound to really bring things up a level. With a diverse choice of songs, we feel that the final product is a new chapter for DEPTHS OF HATRED. We cant wait for everyone to hear what we’ve put together.”
Watch the video for Fastidious Imitation below.
Keeping production duties in house and allowing themselves to work at their own pace has resulted in a polished, mature sounding collection of songs, which was then mixed and mastered at The Grid Studio by Christian Donaldson (Beneath The Massacre, Shadow Of Intent).
Despite having joined the band two years ago, this is the first recording to feature vocalist William Arseneau; his clean vocals shine through, bringing a new dynamic to the band. Featuring ominous cover art depicitng the nature of the album’s themes by Alexandre Goulet, William elaborates on the concept of Inheritance: “Born in a small community, a young child is chosen to inherit the soul of his father – the great leader. By retracing the steps of his predecessors, he becomes at one with an inter-generational pattern that came to be, many moons ago.”
A progressive slant to their rejuvenated sound means that they have stayed true to their definitive death metal roots, yet allowed themselves the opportunity to open up and explore metalcore and beyond. With ambitions to take their new material on the road as soon as they are able to do so, DEPTHS OF HATRED have every intention of making this fresh start really count.
Inheritance track list
1. Enslaved Through Lineage 2. Sadistic Trials 3. Pulsating Rhythm 4. Fastidious Imitation 5. Drop Of Red 6. Illusive Obsession 7. The Gift Of Consciousness 8. Shivers 9. Inheritance 10. The End Of Ourselves 11. Emerging As One
Spanish AEOLIAN are getting ready to unleash their new album The Negationist on November 20th worldwide! The band has released their fourth and final track Bleeding Garbage. Watch the amazing Lyric video created by Aimed & Framed below!
This is what the band had to say about the track.
– The melodies of “Bleeding Garbage” resound to denounce a problem that is becoming too relevant and that we can no longer ignore… everyone today finds the seas full of waste, mountains of garbage in the midst of nature… and clouds of pollution that make our cities invisible in the distance. The planet vomits our irresponsibility and gives it back to us with every breath, with every heartbeat, we have screwed it up so much that the planet bleeds and gives us back our waste through every hole… that blood is the garbage that could bury our civilization forever…
The Negationist is out on November 20th worldwide! Pre order CD/Digital at this location.

CELTIC HILLS‘ new EP ‘Schräge Music’ is out now via Elevate Records.
Schräge Musik, which may also be spelled Schraege Musik, was a common name for an automatic cannon or machine gun that fires upward, on an interceptor plane, such as a night fighter. The term was introduced by the German Luftwaffe during World War II. However, “Schräge Musik” previously, in the German colloquial language, meant music that featured an unusual tuning and / or a particular tempo. By itself, the word Schräge has often been translated as “oblique”, although it can instead be translated into English as “strange”.
And ‘strange’ – or rather particular – it is certainly this EP by Celtic Hills led by Jonathan Vanderbilt.
In fact, ‘Schräge Music’ differs slightly from the previous ‘Blood Over Intents’, embracing sounds that are more powerful and immediate but no less interesting. It could only be like this because the EP was born as a fun among friends that Jonathan called to collaborate to create something shared and choral.
Among the various guests also Joe Caggianelli (Ex Derdian and currently Starbynary) and Leo Giraldi (Starbynary).
The ep is available ONLY IN DIGITAL FORMAT and you can listen to it in streaming or download on all digital platforms at http://smarturl.it/rrsdwt
