HURRICANE ON SATURN is a new Italy-based project started in 2019 by musicians coming from various musical genres with both national and international live/studio experience, named Dakm, Maydx, Antares, Rastaban, Menkib. The proposal out of any classification is based on a unique use of electronics combined with rock and metal influences.
Iceland rock giants SÓLSTAFIR have hosted a live virtual listening party for their upcoming seventh studio album, ‘Endless Twilight of Codependent Love.’ The stream took place today, November 3rd via the official Season of Mist YouTube in which fans could live chat with bassist Svavar Austmann and hear the record in full ahead of Friday’s release. ‘Endless Twilight of Codependent Love’ was recorded at the Sundlaugin Studio (Iceland), where ‘Svartir Sandar,’ ‘Ótta’ and ‘Berdreyminn’ were also recorded by producer Birgir Jón Birgisson (Sigur Rós, Alcest, Damien Rice).
The painting of the coverart is a watercolour of the Lady of the Mountain, which was designed in 1864 by artist Johann Baptist Zwecker.

Months before the entire world had been shaken to the core by the still raging Covid-19 pandemic, Heavy metal’s finest, POWERWOLF, had gone back to the drawing board to work on ideas for the successor of their globally acclaimed album, The Sacrament Of Sin (2018).
Today, the band issued an update about the ongoing songwriting sessions.
“It‘s been an intense and wild ride in these troubled times, but no moonless night can hold back the wolves from hunting & howling: As of now, we have finished the songwriting and pre-production for the upcoming album and we‘re quite sure of having crafted a wild and adventurous piece of wolfish metal music, with plenty of tunes eagerly howling to be celebrated together with you all! Attila and Matthew have just recorded the last bits of the demos and we can hardly hold back our enthusiasm about the new stuff. We will enter the studio starting in December, once again teaming up with both Joost van den Broek and Jens Bogren to carve this wolfish manifest in stone. Expect the album to be released in summer 2021.”

New All-Stars melodic death metal band ACT OF DENIAL – feat. by lead guitarist and songwriter Voi Cox (Koziak, Victim), guitarist and lyricist Luger (Benighted, Koziak), vocalist Bjorn Speed Strid (Soilwork), bassist Steve Di Giorgio (Death, Testament), drummer Krimh (Septicflesh) and keyboardist John Lönnmyr (The Night Flight Orchestra) – have revealed the tracklisting and announced the new special guests for upcoming album “NEGATIVE”.
The band stated: “Now when the album is soon to be mixed and mastered and that would be in the next few weeks we would like to say a couple of words for the upcoming album titled ‘NEGATIVE’, revealing its tracklisting (read below) and announcing the new special guests who have contributed to this project as guest appearances;
MATTIAS IA EKLUNDH, Swedish guitarist and vocalist, known for his work with Freak Kitchen, Jonas Hellborg Trio and Art Metal;
PETER WICHERS is best known as one of the founding members of Swedish melodic death metal band, Soilwork.
And for the last guest on this album will be one of the Super Stars in metal and rock industrie RON THAL BUMBLEFOOT! He was one of two lead guitarists in Guns N’ Roses from 2006 until 2014 and performed on their sixth studio album Chinese Democracy. He is currently the guitarist for the supergroup Sons of Apollo and also guitarist and vocalist for the band Asia.
So again we would thank all the people involved in this project since it was really hard to put this together and hope this is just the beginning and there will be more of this in the future.

Guitarist/lyricist Luger on the debut album ‘Negative’: “The finished songs are already in the process of mixing in Fredman studio. Me and Voi decided not to focus on one genre so there will be tunes for every metal fan. We’re doing this mostly for ourselves and the songs we write are the songs we love to listen at home, hoping they will reach also to other people, as to ourselves.”
Lead guitarist/songwriter Voi Cox adds: “We were always influenced by swedish style and sound when we were kids that’s why it is a big honor to us to have Bjorn from Soilwork on this album, also Fredrik Nordström from Fredman Studio who basically invented that sound. We grew up listening to Soilwork, At The Gates, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames and ofc Death, and that’s why we’re so excited that Steve is in this project, too. So we are very much influenced by those bands but that doesn’t mean that our songs will sound like that and you will hear all that in our debut album.”

ALTER BRIDGE releases a lyric video for their original song “Last Rites” from the upcoming EP Walk The Sky 2.0. The video uses a dark and mystical aesthetic utilizing a fortune teller making a prediction based on the song’s lyrics. The song was born from an idea that bandmembers Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips began sharing after the cancellation of their entire 2020 touring schedule and written, recorded and completed entirely during the Covid-19 lockdown. “Last Rites” is available on all streaming partners and the lyric video can be seen below.
