After releasing My Midnight Things (his fifth Top 200 Billboard release) to critical acclaim in 2018, LIZZY BORDEN has been touring in support of it, joining the likes of Demons & Wizards and Týr on the road in North America last year, plus performing at stages around the world. Now, Lizzy Borden has announced a new greatest hits collection for fans: Best of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2.

Available digitally on November 13th, Best of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2 picks up where 1994’s Best of Lizzy Borden leaves off, containing 12 tracks that showcase the Deal with the Devil (2000), Appointment with Death (2007) and My Midnight Things (2018) albums. Additionally, the collection features 2 new cover songs recorded in the summer of 2020 (the first recordings by Lizzy‘s latest live show line-up!): Blue Oyster Cult‘s “Burnin’ for You” and The Ramones‘ “Pet Sematary” – both mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther, Stone Sour).

Digitally re-mastered by Tom Baker (David Bowie, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Tom Petty), Best of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2 can be pre-ordered now at: metalblade.com/lizzyborden – where Lizzy‘s cover of “Pet Sematary” can also be heard just in time for Halloween!

HARLOTT Launch New Single “Detritus of the Final Age”

On November 13th, HARLOTT will release their new album, Detritus of the Final Age, via Metal Blade Records. For a preview of Detritus of the Final Age, the title track can be heard now here:

The first single, “As We Breach”, can also be streamed at: metalblade.com/harlott – where the record can be pre-ordered in various formats.

More than 30 years after its inception, thrash refuses to die, and with Australia’s Harlott stoking the fires, the genre is in very good hands. Returning with the follow up to 2017’s mighty Extinction, Detritus Of The Final Age sees them continuing to fight the good fight, delivering a collection of serrated riffs, rampant rhythmic battery and bilious lyrics, hitting hard in all the right places. “For the first time ever, I went into this album with a blank slate,” says vocalist/guitarist Andrew Hudson. “No ideas or requirements, just an empty record ready to be filled with whatever took me. Obviously thrash metal is the wheelhouse of what we do, and it came out pretty thrashy, but it was great to be able to set that aside and explore other avenues.” The result is perhaps the band’s most dynamic release, while holding on tight to that signature Harlott sound that has drawn in a legion of fans from around the world.

Helping to realize the new record, the band’s ranks were refreshed with two new members, Glen Trayhern on drums and Leigh Bartley on guitar. “Both bring their own skills and abilities as well as fresh enthusiasm and ideas. Glen is an absolute machine on the kit and lays a rock solid foundation for us to play to, and Leigh is a weapon on the guitar and such a unique lead writer. I couldn’t have had a better ensemble for this release, and the live show is as violent as ever.” Spending longer writing the record than any of its predecessors, for more than a year Hudson worked on it, experimenting with ideas and styles. Determined to make a record that he would want to listen to – and proudly drawing inspiration from the many bands that have shaped the genre ahead of them – it was integral that he was proud of everything included on the record, and he focused on every aspect of the songs. “Whether its lyrics or riffs or breakdowns, I always make sure that every song has at least one bit that makes you go ‘fuck yeeeeah’. I don’t like the idea of thinking a song or line is ‘good enough’, so I try to make sure the elements of the song are strong enough for them to stand alone outside of the ensemble that they are part of.” The result is “thrash metal with a bit of darkness, a bit of sorrow, a bit of melody and a few hooks thrown in for good measure,” something that Harlott fans will recognize while surely drawing in new listeners.

Detritus of the Final Age track-listing
1. As We Breach
2. Idol Minded
3. Bring on the War
4. Detritus of the Final Age
5. Prime Evil
6. Nemesis

OVERKILL Bassist DD VERNI’s THE BRONX CASKET CO. To Release “The Complete Collection”

OVERKILL bassist DD VERNI’s THE BRONX CASKET CO. return on Friday, November 13th! Deko Entertainment will release “The Complete Collection”, a 5 Disc Box Set including all 4 of the band’s studio releases plus unreleased bonus material.

DD states, “It’s Halloween and Friday the 13th all within a 2 week period…so must be time for a new Bronx Casket Co. release! “

The Bronx Casket Co. was founded by Overkill bassist and main songwriter DD Verni and released the self-titled “Bronx Caset Co.” on Massacre Records in 1999. It was followed up by “Sweet Home Transylvania” in 2001, “Hellectric” in 2005 and “Antihero” in 2011. The band is rounded out by guitarist Jack Frost (Savatage, Seven Witches, Lizzy Borden), keyboardist Charlie Calv (Angel, Shotgun Symphony), drummer Tim Mallare (Overkill, M.O.D.) on the first 3 releases and Rob Pallota (25 ta Life) on the later, and originally fronted by Myke Hideous (The Misfits, Empire Hideous) on the first 3 albums with DD taking over vocals full time on Antihero.

This release is completely re-mastered by Alan Douches (The Misfits, Mastodon, etc…) and includes a bonus disc of early demos, unreleased remixes, a cover of The Misfits classic “Ghouls Night Out”, and a brand newly recorded mash up of the classic Black Sabbath tracks “The Writ/Megalomania” entitled “Sabatage-d”.

DD continues, “I’m so psyched to have the whole catalog in one spot.  The four records were all so completely different yet part of the same idea, so seeing it all together is very cool.  A bonus disc with demos and extra tracks, as well as all kinds of collectibles makes it something really unique.  It was fun to get back with the guys to bang out the Black Sabbath Sabatage-d song too, felt almost like we never took a break.  I get asked all the time if there will ever be another full length album….hey ya never know. “

This is limited to 500 copies with 100 being set aside for a special Friday the 13th bundle with some ghoulish merch, and your own personalized death certificate signed by Bronx Casket Co. founder DD Verni.

Brazilian heavy metallers RAGE IN MY EYES have released a new cover video for ENGENHEIROS DO HAWAII‘s “A Perigo/In Danger” (C) 1996 Bmg Brasil, watch it below.

On the choice of ′′In Danger”, drummer Francis Cassol was taxative: ′′Everyone within the band likes the most varied styles of music, not just Heavy Metal, so it was natural to seek this differentiation, to bring some of the Rock influences Gaucho and create this version. And for those who know ENGENHEIROS DO HAWAII and Humberto Gessinger himself, you know that he likes Heavy Metal, so much so that there are many passages in the old songs of ENGENHEIROS DO HAWAII that have a more metallic footprint “.

And after participating in Bode Metal Fest and the A live commemorative of one year of the show with Iron Maiden, RAGE IN MY EYES are preparing to participate in other online events, to be released soon.

RAGE IN MY EYES is a heavy metal band from Brazil. For 17 years the band went under the name SCELERATA, that had a huge history in the Brazilian heavy metal scenario. The band had three albums released worldwide, including the acclaimed album “The Sniper”, feat. guest appearances from Paul DiAnno (former Iron Maiden) and Andi Deris (Helloween). Scelerata was also Paul DiAnno’s official Brazilian backing band from 2009 to 2014, playing 50+ shows with this heavy metal icon. On October 9th, 2019, RAGE IN MY EYES joined IRON MAIDEN in Porto Alegre, Brazil, at Gremio Stadium. With this huge background, the musicians are now aiming for the future.

RAGE IN MY EYES’ latest album, entitled “Ice Cell”, is available on all digital platforms. The album was recorded between 2017 and 2018 in the cities of Los Angeles (USA) and Porto Alegre (Brazil) and was produced by Magnus Wichmann at Magneto Studio (Brazil) and Daufembach Studio (USA). It was mixed and mastered in Los Angeles by the renowned Brazilian producer Adair Daufembach. The cover was designed by Tiago Masseti, who has worked with Hibria, Luis Kalil and Daydream XI. According to the band, the graphic art seeks to show the mascot Sage in a darker mood: “We wanted to present a more realistic Sage, with a strong expression and at the same time that seemed marked by life; we brought him closer to us.”

JOURNEY Founder NEAL SCHON & His Wife Pursue Justice, Dealing with Concert Promoter LIVE NATION After Michaele Schon Was Attacked At Live Nation Event

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 29, 2020
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Live Nation, MICHAELE SCHON, Neal Schon. Leave a comment

JOURNEY Founder, NEAL SCHON, and his wife MICHAELE SCHON  continue to pursue justice in their attempts to resolve litigation involving the shocking assault of MICHAELE by a ESG SECURITY staff hired by an LIVE NATION at the JOURNEY concert at the ALLEN COUNTY WAR MEMORIAL COLISEUM in Fort Wayne, IN on March 14, 2017. LIVE NATION is now seeking to avoid obligations assumed as the promoter of the JOURNEY 2017 Tour through a motion for summary judgment, including their obligation to ensure the safety of the members of JOURNEY and the Band’s entourage, which argument will be presented to the Court on November 6, 2020. Prior to the incident, the SCHONS had implemented direct security services for MICHAELE and JOURNEY at their own cost, but were informed that such would not be allowed and they would be required to rely on the security services provided by LIVE NATION, which exchange was witnessed by and testified to by legal representation for the SCHONS, JAMES A.QUADRA.

MICHAELE has, for the previous twelve years, been at the stage filming the band’s performances and so she is a well recognized and identifiable presence among fans, crew, and staff, and is introduced nightly to security personel. Depositions by JOURNEY security staff RICHIE SURRENCY  and LEO STAUB provide extensive support for the assault and negligence claims, with both security officers witnessing FRANZ putting his hands on MICHAELE, JOURNEY security staff’s response, including RICHIE’S, to rescue her, her running from the area, and FRANZ’s restraint and removal. STAUB further testified to seeing the security video showing the full assault which subsequently was altered with the incriminating footage missing, and evidentiary cameras and recording equipment now inexplicably missing from the venue (see altered video below). Depositions had been scheduled with NEAL SCHON for 10/29/2020, however, LIVE NATION has since sought to defer that deposition request of NEAL until after the 11/6/2020, rendering any further statement meaningless. Furthermore, deposition submitted by the previously untrained LIVE NATION / ESG staff member (FRANZ) in June 2019, further substantiated the claims concerning the defendant’s targeting and attack of MICHAELE.
