Colombian ESHTADUR Release New Single And Lyric Video “The Fall”

Colombian blackened death metallers ESHTADUR release new single and lyric video “The Fall” today – watch the video HERE! The track touches upon themes of suicide and depression, and is taken from their critically acclaimed, new album “From The Abyss”. The band has commented: “’The Fall’ is a song about this particular matter. Depression and anxiety make ourselves to behave as our mortal enemies, inside our heads, and sometimes it goes out of control, then suicide is considered. So, as a voice of support for that theme, the video provides a message to allow people to get conscious of this matter, mental health matters, plus, there are some helplines provided, and a message of support could make a difference.”

Eshtadur’s latest album “From The Abyss” is releasedvia Blood Blast Distribution (Believe Digital x Nuclear Blast) and available worldwide on all streaming services! Listen to the album in its entirety here  https://backl.ink/142602231

ESHTADUR, meaning the rebellion of angels, can be most closely likened to bands such as Septic Flesh, Behemoth, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Carach Angren, and the like. Like their scene counterparts, the band embodies a deathly melodic atmosphere that reaches into realms of darkness and despair through the decay of humanity. It seeks to rebel, in its darkened way, embracing the abject reality.

Dead Rhetoric (UK) stated that Eshtadur “have no problem going straight for the throat”, while TheSoundNotTheWord wrote that Eshtadur “hit hard” and that they have “a strong, muscular take on melo-death”.

Eshtadur launched in the Fall of 2005 releasing the ‘Timo Be Timo’ – the demo with a sound in the vein of At The Gates, Soilwork and Septicflesh. Since then, the Colombian metallers have released a pair of EP’s and a potent trio of critically acclaimed albums, earning them massive praise and awards, including the award for “Best Album” and “Best Music Video” at AMS Metal Awards Colombia in 2013.

Their rich touring history includes performances across Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. They have shared the stage and toured with Cradle of Filth, Vader, Graveworm, Coldblood, Abbadon Incarnate & more in shows over Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Latin America, USA and UK. They have been distributed across the world and even headlined a stage at Rock Al Parque in 2016.

Their 2017 release, via Bleeding Music Records, “Mother Gray” is an expression of planetary death and putrefaction. The scathing release saw the band touring 8 countries in Europe through 2018. Now the band is gearing up for their first-ever US dates and many more festival appearances in 2021!

Power metal quartet, JUDICATOR, have today released a new music video for Let There Be Light, taken from their recently released album, Let There Be Nothing. The visually striking video draws from the album’s themes of high concept historical adventure centered around the story’s protagonist, Belisarius, a humble and renowned Byzantine general.

Let There Be Nothing is available on digital and physical formats now.

Watch the video for Let There Be Light below.

JUDICATOR is a revelation in the American power metal scene, gathering influences of raging teutonic power metal and classic heavy metal under an unmistakable melodic identity. Their latest single, Let There Be Light, solidifies their hard earned reputation as much revered kings of their craft.

“…mountainous power metal melodies with subtly progressive hooks and pastoral dips.” – Metal Hammer

“Every release from JUDICATOR continues to improve upon the last, and Let There Be Nothing feels like they’re at the top of their game…” – Nine Circles

“The songs themselves are all immaculately constructed and almost overburdened with hooks and melodic tricks, but where many power metal bands would keep it simple, JUDICATOR power forward with the brakes off, exuding a sense of otherworldly power and arcane heavy metal mastery…” – Blabbermouth

Let There Be Nothing – track list

  1. Let There Be Light
  2. Tomorrow’s Sun
  3. Strange to the World
  4. Autumn of Souls

Mascot Records has a pleasure to announce the signing of LEVARA, furthermore the band has unleashed the first song and video ‘Heaven Knows’ from their upcoming debut album.

Trev Lukather, Jules Galli and Josh Devine are LEVARA. Collectively, their musical union brings life to the individual talents of three musicians that together have enriched the aural landscape for all of us. Their songs offer an escape, as all music does, with points of reflection that relate to any listener’s life.

Guitarist Trev Lukather shares, “’Heaven Knows’ is the opening track to our album so it makes sense to have it as our introduction to The World. Fast pace, in your face rock n roll with that added LEVARA swag. The video is an old school homage to the early MTV takeover days adding our album color concept, bringin’ that sharp dressed Miami Vice vibe to the mix. We are just three guys that love making music and having as much fun in the process, so the video is simply an accurate representation of us.” If you want to get real deep, singer Jules Galli reveals, “’Heaven Knows’ is about digging through the darker parts of your own psyche. It’s about asking questions to yourself and recognizing our mystical connection to the bigger picture, a higher power… What’s stopping you from reaching your ultimate potential?” In summation, drummer Josh Devine states, “Whatever…”

Their union merged in Los Angeles, one The World’s epicenters of musical creativity. Singer Jules Galli emigrated from France, while drummer Josh Devine chose L.A. as home versus his native United Kingdom following success behind the kit with One Direction. There they found common vision with Trev Lukather (guitar), son of Toto’s Steve Lukather, one of SoCal’s most successful ensembles to ever emerge from the city.  On some level these three players believe the universe brought them together.

All of the members have history prior to the emergence of LEVARA. Growing up in Bournemouth, UK, Josh picked up drums as a kid, never put them down, and toured the globe and appeared in two live concert films on the throne for pop juggernaut One Direction. On the other side of the world, California native Trev Lukather ripped on Diamante’s debut album Coming In Hot, and on the road in addition to touring with EDM phenomenon What So Not and performing at top festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and in arenas. He also found success as a songwriter, co-writing “Love/Hate Heartbreak” for Halestorm’s certified gold debut album alongside other compositions.  After emigrating from France to Florida, Jules Galli relocated to Los Angeles five years ago, and has been an attraction at the popular Hotel Café leading his own ensemble of musicians prior to joining the band.

As Galli shares, “When we started to collaborate, we found ourselves in the middle of something really fresh. My lyrics over the instruments created a new vibe none of us had heard before.  We thought it would be a shame to not pursue the potential all of us were feeling.” Devine offers, “We all love classic rock, but we wanted to pay homage to it with a modern twist.  Where’s the rock on the radio? Where’s the music we grew up loving? Where’s the guitar?” Trev Lukather urges, “We bring the feel-good anthems filled with emotion, tension and groove. Providing that much needed mutual escape. We are in it together. Artist to listener.”

Prior to recording their debut, the band toured the United States several times and supported Toto on an arena tour last Summer. While in Europe, they staged several headline appearances across Germany and other countries, floored by the response with fans coming out at every date.  In Early 2020, they began their collaboration with Producer Ethan Kaufmann  at Elephant In The Room Studios in East Hollywood. The album unequivocally captured the magic they sought to see take life.

“I believe LEVARA is a band that can spark an influence for young kids and people of all ages to pick up an instrument and feel that connection,” Trev concludes. “At the same time of singing along to anthemic, feel-good, and emotional tunes, you can incorporate the heart and soul that started music in the first place. We want to inspire our generation and the next to want to pick up a guitar, pick up a bass, pick up drum sticks, or go for those high notes vocally.  I feel there is a need for epic ‘pop’ tunes to have that musicianship behind them like the classic bands we all love and admire. I believe we accomplished that with our album. If we can influence that in any way, we are winning.”

The band has plans to tour late-Spring, 2021. A confirmed itinerary will be announced in the coming weeks.

Leaders and stalwarts of the American heavy metal scene since the early 80s, Armored Saint‘s Punching The Sky sees them returning hard. A diverse, attitude-drenched collection, it’s everything the band’s faithful have come to expect from them while pushing their signature sound forward. “The goal is to write really good music. I know I’m stating the obvious here but that’s about the size of our agenda,” says bassist Joey Vera. “We’ve been able to shed a lot of expectations that sometimes plague a band like ours that has been around a long time, and we’ve recently moved into a comfort zone with just being ourselves. We have this kind of freedom now that we didn’t really have early in our career, and we can take some chances and make the kind of music that we want to hear. This record is a reflection of where we are at, right now.” Exploding to life with the crunchy, rousing “Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants” and not letting up until the closing ruthless riff of “Never You Fret”, the record is possessed of an urgency and vigor which very much places it in the right now, but could only be the work of Vera, guitarists Phil Sandoval and Jeff Duncan, drummer Gonzo Sandoval and vocalist John Bush. “When you’re a band that began four decades ago, you really have to push yourself harder than ever when it comes to making a new record,” states Bush. “The last thing you ever want is for it to appear as though you were going through the motions or that you’re just putting a product out to do some touring. The records are immortal. They’ll be here long after us. Every one needs to count in its own individual way.”

With Vera acting as producer, he recruited the same engineering team that worked on Win Hands Down with drums recorded by Josh Newell at El Dorado Studios in Burbank, CA, guitars tracked by Bill Metoyer at Skullseven studios in North Hollywood, CA, and vocals, bass and additional recordings by the bassist at his studio. “I like working with people that I trust and have a good personal rapport with. That same reason is why I hired Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Amon Amarth, Stonesour) to mix the record. It’s important to be able to work with people who understand what the end goal is.” The process of realizing the album was a lot of hard work, Vera admitting he took on too many of the tasks himself, but he states that overall it was a good experience and everyone brought their A-game to the table and the right attitude for getting things done. “At the end of the mixing stage, I always have a hard time walking away from the project we’ve been working on for so long. It’s hard to let it go. The end result is good though. Everyone played and sang their asses off and it shows.” The record also features a few guest musicians further expanding its sonic palette, the whole thing kicking off with the sound of Uilleann Pipes, Vera finding player Patrick D’Arcy in LA and recruiting him to the cause. Guns ‘N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed also contributes, Vera giving both him and D’Arcy some general directions and letting them loose, both of them delivering strong performances. The band’s own Gonzo Sandoval plays an American Indian flute on “Never You Fret” – a first for Armored Saint and their drummer. Also Jacob Ayala, the son of a childhood friend who is a drum major in high school, added some marching snare on one of the tracks, which really stands out.

With the band’s place in the metal scene firmly reestablished with Punching The Sky, they are staring down their four decade anniversary, which Vera reflects on. “Part of me feels like I can’t believe we’ve been doing this for that long. It’s kind of incredible. So I feel pretty damn lucky really, that we’ve been able to have the support from fans and our record company for all these years. Without this support, we really couldn’t do any of this. So this is the big part of what has kept us going, and when I stop and look around, I am humbled that we’ve had this opportunity to make music and tour for such a long time. That’s what our initial goal was back when we were just 18 years old.”
