Space Chaser comments: “We would all shout in unison ‘Metal Blade’ when asked what label our number 1 choice would be. Needless to say, we are ridiculously excited that we can call the legendary label our new mothership. With one of the strongest allies in the business, we’re ready to launch our most brutal assault yet. Stay tuned!”

As the Halloween season kicks into full swing, and all of the ghoulish girls and demon dudes are beginning to emerge from their dusty graves, there’s only one band whose resurrection is sure to be greeted with blood-curdling howls of delight – the gothic-themed rockabilly project THE 69 CATS! Formed by The 69 Eyes frontman Jyrki 69 and rockabilly guitar legend & Headcat Danny B. Harvey back in 2013, the project exploded in notoriety with the release of their debut full-length Transylvanian Tapes that featured superb cover versions of creepy classics such as “People Are Strange,” “Werewolves Of London,” and “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.” Now, the group has returned from the hallowed crypt with a new line-up that includes longtime drummer of The Damned, Rat Scabies, and Nekromantix founder Kim Nekroman. The group’s first single, “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” a track originally performed by mega pop icon Post Malone, is a perfect re-introduction to this newly reanimated version of the band, featuring the distinctive growl of Jyrki’s 69 baritone voice backed by Harvey’s ripping guitars, Nekroman’s slinky bass playing and Scabies’ dead-on drumming. The quartet even filmed a haunting video for the track as a special treat for all those rock loving monsters and fiends.
Jyrki says “This is the best rock’n’roll band of 2020 – you really can’t argue about that after hearing the new single. Post Malone is like a modern-day Elton John and David Bowie rolled into one, and this song is my favorite from his new album, which strangely he didn’t release as a single – so we will!”
BLACK STONE CHERRY are set to release their seventh studio album, The Human Condition on October 30th via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.

The band about the track:
“‘In Love With The Pain is one of the unexpected classics that we didn’t even know we needed! We wrote thatsong years ago with a couple friends of ours, Scott Lindsey and Stephen Styles, with the intention to pitch it toanother artist. However, it kept making its way back into our minds while listening to old demos. So we decidedto give it a chance and re-worked it to put our BSC stamp on it, and we are so happy we did! It’s a favorite! “
The Human Condition was completed mere days before the COVID-19 lockdown was imposed and as events progressed, it became apparent that the album the Kentucky band were completing featured lyrics that were eerily prescient.
“There was a real urgency and fear of the unknown during those sessions – it was a scary time,” recalls drummer, John Fred Young. “Every song on this album tells a story of the experiences we all go through – our happiness, our struggles, and how we have to adapt.” The album’s opening lyrics are: “People, people, your attention please, I need to tell you about a new disease” (from ‘Ringin’ In My Head). The song was written 4 years ago, but powerfully captures the hysteria around the COVID-19 outbreak. On “Push Down & Turn,” BSC masterfully use space to achieve crushing swamp-metal dynamics. The stirring track talks about mental health, boldly advocating getting treatment if you’re struggling. “I suffer from manic depression and I have severe anxiety. I want to convey it’s okay to go to a doctor and talk about these issues. There is no shame or stigma there, ” singer/guitarist Chris Robertson shares.

BE THE WOLF, the original band of songwriter Federico Mondelli (Frozen Crown, Volturian), return three years after the latest ‘Empress’ with the fourth album which, starting from the title, marks a sort of return to the past for them: ‘Torino’.
Here is how the band commented: “When we started all this, to be the wolf meant turning our hunger into music, and not following anybody except our own style. Almost ten years later, while on the outside everything is different and unrecognizable, nothing has changed inside of us. Not even the permanent trace of the city where everything started. Torino is not an ordinary city. It sticks to you and marks you forever, leaving a black shade in your soul”.
The trio retraces their entire experience in an album that encompasses the pop frenzy of the debut album, the torrid blues of the enigmatic ‘Rouge’ and the hard rock attitude of the third album, offering their best release ever.
The tracklist is as follows:
01 Undefeated 02 April 03 Failures 04 Teenage Mutants 05 Stay Awake 06 Pretty Little Things 07 Cinnamon 08 Torino 09 Sorry Not Sorry 10 Dancing Rhinos
Produced once again by Andrea Fusini (also behind the soundboard for Frozen Crown and Volturian), ‘Torino’ will be released on January 15th, 2021, on Scarlet Records.
Blacklight Media Records / Metal Blade Records is proud to welcome WAR CURSE to its worldwide roster!
Formed in 2013 in Cincinnati, OH, War Curse unleashed their debut full-length Final Days (Static Tension Recordings / Iron Mouth) in 2015, with media hailing it as “catchy, quick to the point, precisely executed with plenty of shredding solos, and enough punk/hardcore grit to give it a snarling edge” (NineCircles.co). Their sophomore record – 2019′s Eradication (Svart Records) – saw the band “confidently mesh their old school values with modern sensibilities, addictively crunchy riffs and infectious song-writing” (TeethOfTheDivine.com). Guitarist Justin Roth comments: “It’s hard to believe that we made it from the basement to Metal Blade Records in 7 years, but it’s proof that hard work still pays off. Now with Blacklight Media and the entire Metal Blade crew behind us, we have an opportunity to capitalize on that effort and realize the full potential of War Curse. We couldn’t be more thankful or excited.”
