WIND ROSE are back with another visual to their epic, story-filled and critically acclaimed album Wintersaga, releasing the official music video for “We Were Warriors” today via Napalm Records! “We Were Warriors” is a follow-up to their popular first singles, “Diggy Diggy Hole” and “Drunken Dwarves”, which together racked up well over 20 million views on YouTube! In “We Were Warriors”,  WIND ROSE take the viewer on an adventurous hunt for gold through dark ruins and caves, passing old relics from a morbid past.

Watch the official video for “We Were Warriors” HERE:

WIND ROSE on “We Were Warriors”:
“‘We Were Warriors’ is a song about the Dwarves fallen in battle and their eternal rest inside the great halls of stone. A strong theme needed strong music, so we came up with one of the most astonishing songs we have ever composed: powerful riffs, massive orchestrations and epic choirs. We could not imagine a better epilogue for our latest album Wintersaga.”

“We don`t write songs, we smith them against the anvil.” And that`s WIND ROSE in a nutshell! The five-piece that started out in Pisa, Italy in 2009 is no secret to genre connoisseurs thanks to three well-received albums and tours with Wintersun, Ensiferum and many more. But now their big moment in the spotlight has come – WIND ROSE are ready for the final breakthrough with Wintersaga!

They have perfected their mixture of heroic steel and folky, mead-drenched anthems in the meantime: party tunes don`t get better than “Drunken Dwarves”. Seriously. Counterbalance arrives in shape of epic power metal anthems like “The Art Of War” or “We Were Warriors”, carefully treading the fine line between neck-breaking riffing and dramatic orchestration. A highly entertaining and unforgettable ride over mountains, snow and ice!

RAT SCABIES & KIM NEKROMAN Join JYRKI 69 & DANNY B. HARVEY’s Gothabilly Supergroup THE 69 CATS For New Single, Album

As the Halloween season kicks into full swing, and all of the ghoulish girls and demon dudes are beginning to emerge from their dusty graves, there’s only one band whose resurrection is sure to be greeted with blood-curdling howls of delight – the gothic-themed rockabilly project THE 69 CATS! Formed by The 69 Eyes frontman Jyrki 69 and rockabilly guitar legend & Headcat Danny B. Harvey back in 2013, the project exploded in notoriety with the release of their debut full-length Transylvanian Tapes that featured superb cover versions of creepy classics such as “People Are Strange,” “Werewolves Of London,” and “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.” Now, the group has returned from the hallowed crypt with a new line-up that includes longtime drummer of The Damned, Rat Scabies, and Nekromantix founder Kim Nekroman. The group’s first single, “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” a track originally performed by mega pop icon Post Malone, is a perfect re-introduction to this newly reanimated version of the band, featuring the distinctive growl of Jyrki’s 69 baritone voice backed by Harvey’s ripping guitars, Nekroman’s slinky bass playing and Scabies’ dead-on drumming. The quartet even filmed a haunting video for the track as a special treat for all those rock loving monsters and fiends.

Jyrki says “This is the best rock’n’roll band of 2020 – you really can’t argue about that after hearing the new single. Post Malone is like a modern-day Elton John and David Bowie rolled into one, and this song is my favorite from his new album, which strangely he didn’t release as a single – so we will!”

“Hollywood’s Bleeding” will be featured on the new 69 Cats album coming to collect your soul in early 2021 from Cleopatra Records.

BLACK STONE CHERRY Release New Track ‘In Love With The Pain’ From Upcoming Album

BLACK STONE CHERRY are set to release their seventh studio album, The Human Condition on October 30th via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.

Watch the video for In Love With The Pain here:

The band about the track:

“‘In Love With The Pain is one of the unexpected classics that we didn’t even know we needed! We wrote that song years ago with a couple friends of ours, Scott Lindsey and Stephen Styles, with the intention to pitch it to another artist. However, it kept making its way back into our minds while listening to old demos. So we decided to give it a chance and re-worked it to put our BSC stamp on it, and we are so happy we did! It’s a favorite! “

The Human Condition was completed mere days before the COVID-19 lockdown was imposed and as events progressed, it became apparent that the album the Kentucky band were completing featured lyrics that were eerily prescient.

“There was a real urgency and fear of the unknown during those sessions – it was a scary time,” recalls drummer, John Fred Young. “Every song on this album tells a story of the experiences we all go through – our happiness, our struggles, and how we have to adapt.” The album’s opening lyrics are: “People, people, your attention please, I need to tell you about a new disease” (from ‘Ringin’ In My Head). The song was written 4 years ago, but powerfully captures the hysteria around the COVID-19 outbreak. On “Push Down & Turn,” BSC masterfully use space to achieve crushing swamp-metal dynamics. The stirring track talks about mental health, boldly advocating getting treatment if you’re struggling. “I suffer from manic depression and I have severe anxiety. I want to convey it’s okay to go to a doctor and talk about these issues. There is no shame or stigma there, ” singer/guitarist Chris Robertson shares.
