OC metalcore mainstays ATREYU have shared the video for the new song “Save Us”, which was produced by John Feldmann.
“‘Save Us’ is not only a reflection of where we are musically, but also a mirror to the world in this ominous moment in time,” the band says. “We chose to pair the powerful message with one of the heavier songs we’ve ever written. This song feels like the anthem that we all need right now. To us, it’s a call to action to light the fire in ourselves. We can begin to make great change — but only if we look inside first.”
With singer Alex Varkatzas recently departing, drummer and clean vocalist Brandon Saller will move into the frontman role. Guitarist Porter McKnight is now handling the harsh vocals, while Kyle Rosa joins the ranks as drummer.
Atreyu are working on their eighth album, which will be released via Spinefarm Records. “Save Us” will appear on the record.
ARTILLERY have released a new song “The Last Journey” – featuring former singers Flemming Rønsdorf and Søren Adamsen – digitally and on vinyl via Metal Blade Records. The B-side features “Trapped Under Ice”, a cover by Metallica.
“The Last Journey” is dedicated to the memory of former Artillery guitarist Morten Stützer, who passed away in October 2019.
Comments the band: “When Artillery lost Morten in October last year, we decided to do a song to honor him. The song is called ‘The Last Journey’ and features former singers Søren Adamsen and Flemming Rønsdorf together with the rest of the band. A very epic song. The B side is also one of Morten’s and Artillery‘s fave songs, a cover of Metallica‘s ‘Trapped under Ice’, which they put the final touches on in our and Mercyful Fate‘s rehearsal room, which they borrowed just before recording it in Sweet Silence in 1984.”
Both songs have been recorded and produced in Medley Studio by Søren Andersen.

SPIRIT ADRIFT began as an outlet for multi-instrumentalist Nate Garrett, who started the band in 2015 as a studio project encompassing his love for hard rock sensibilities and multiple strains of timeless heavy metal. With the addition of permanent drummer Marcus Bryant, the band started performing live in 2017 and swiftly became a force to be reckoned with. Spirit Adrift refuses to slow down. With ‘Enlightened In Eternity’, Nathan Garrett, alongside drummer Marcus Bryant, has created yet another monument to the timelessness of heavy metal. And while ‘Enlightened…’ builds on the sizable foundation established by previous albums, it also sets itself apart in formidable new ways, widening the scope of what Spirit Adrift can be. What Spirit Adrift have mastered, where others have failed, is the ability to invoke the power of metal’s past, whether it be the 70s, 80s or even the 90s as we hear on ‘Enlightened…’, without ever feeling throwback or ’retro’. Spirit Adrift urgently represent the sonic and emotional zeitgeist of 2020.
Irish progressive experimentalists RESTIVE NATION have released their video for new single ‘I’m Sorry’, watch it below.
Continuously pushing boundaries and cross-pollination genres with their own unique electronic/progressive interpretations, RESTIVE NATION continue to surprise with this brand new single.
‘I’m Sorry’ sees the band take a dark and melancholic journey into a hybrid of Massive Attack and Nine Inch Nails with a side of Crosses /Tool floating in and out of a dream-like, post punk daydream. As an isolated new track [not featured on their recently released ‘Lucidum’ EP], ‘Im Sorry’ shows the band venturing into darker landscapes, exploring the inner-working of the human psyche, thanks to the chilling vocals of Dave Lee of Irish Heavy Progressive crew, Raum Kingdom.
The band commented on the track: “I’m Sorry is a track that was written by Dave Lee’s solo project Sombre Motion in 2012. Dave would go on to form the heavy as f**k Raum Kingdom in 2013. We collaborated with Dave before on our 2017 single ‘Murmur’ and while we were working together we came across his hauntingly beautiful track ‘I’m Sorry’. Upon hearing it we just had to have it as part of the Restive Nation repertoire. We asked Dave if we could adopt it into Restive Nation and he was more than happy to oblige”.
About the lyrical content Dave said: “It’s about doing wrong so much that even when you’ve done right, you still have to eat the blame”. This song marks the end of an era for Restive Nation as it is their last musical collaboration with an outside artist for the foreseeable future.
Regarding the video (to be released on 16th) the band commented: “We thought it would be cool to give the track to Dublin-based independent film maker Tom Maher for his own artistic interpretation. Usually we’d be very explicit about what we want when it comes to themes, but we were keen to see how Tom would exhibit the track visually and we absolutely love this slow-burn tension piece; it’s completely different to anything we would have dreamt up and it’s a great representation of how well things can go once you let go and relinquish control.”
‘I’m Sorry’ is set for release on Friday October 16th and will be the final single/video from the band before a series of new material which is scheduled to be released in Jauary 2021.

ESCAPE THE FATE have released the new song “Invincible” to herald the start of the pre-order campaign for the band’s upcoming album, Chemical Warfare. The new single features critically-acclaimed, fan favorite, American violinist, songwriter, and dancer Lindsey Stirling. “Invincible” will appear on the soundtrack to THE RETALIATORS, a high-octane horror/thriller due out in 2021. Vocalist Craig Mabbit also makes an appearance as an undercover cop in the film alongside some of rock’s biggest names including the members of Five Finger Death Punch, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach and Tommy Lee among others.
“Invincible”, is the perfect word to use in describing ESCAPE THE FATE, the band has survived personnel changes and the cancellation of their tours due to the pandemic. The band has been consistently releasing new music for well over a decade to their audience of over 4 Million dedicated social media followers. On November 20th the band will do a streaming concert, LIVE worldwide, performing their greatest hits and songs from their forthcoming album. Tickets can be purchased on www.escapethefate.com now!
ESCAPE THE FATE is a three-word phrase synonymous with heavy rock n’ roll and hooks, post-hardcore with weight, and unrelenting genre-redefining anthems built for diverse audiences. Over a decade into their young career, they have proven to move crowds equally at major rock radio festivals, the legendary Vans Warped Tour, or on the road with Five Finger Death Punch. Craig Mabbitt, Kevin Thrasher, TJ Bell, and Robert Ortiz have each been making music, and on the road, before they were old enough to drive. It’s what has made the band’s message transcend any sense of “difference” in genre, all around the world, touring with Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Papa Roach, I Prevail, Bullet For My Valentine, Hollywood Undead, HELLYEAH, All That Remains, and on multiple Vans Warped Tours.
With the addition of world-renowned Violinist Lindsey Sterling’s expert musicianship which is brought to the forefront at the end of the song, ESCAPE THE FATE was able to create a softer touch to a high-intensity track. Ortiz speaks about having Stirling on the new track, “She is an angel – she has so much light in her. But the primary reason I wanted to work with her… strictly speaking musically, she is gnarly – her music is epic.” Lindsey is a multi-faceted artist who has billions of views on her popular YouTube channel.
“I loved working with the guys! I originally started out by playing with rock bands, so this took me back to some fond memories from my past times. As I’ve learned more about their stories as individuals and as a band, it’s cool that they truly represent fighting through darkness to find and chose light,” says Stirling.
With “Invincible” and the forthcoming album Chemical Warfare, ESCAPE THE FATE has created some of their best music to date. . Made together with A-list producer John Feldmann (5 Seconds Of Summer, The Used), Chemical Warfare delivers an arsenal of driving bangers and melodic ballads that are among the best of the hard rock world. It’s still about a good time, but with a deeper meaning. Each member of the band has grown as a musician over the years, from Craig’s powerful vocals to Kevin “Thrasher” Gruft’s production prowess.
Known for their live shows that make that emotional impact on fans; authentic, visceral, and electric connection that keeps people coming back every time. That is what is at the heart of what they are about. The guys in the band understand what it means to be broken, from childhood trauma, to the tumultuousness of the music biz, and they know how music can heal.
“Invincible” as a song points to all of that and sends the message to the listener to stand up, move forward, and keep going. The new single follows the release of “Walk On”, which was featured in the recently released in connection with Better Noise Film’s, SNO BABIES.
