NEONFLY have released to YouTube an acoustic cover of Edguy’s classic power ballad “Save Me” from their 2006 album “Rocket Ride”. The song, with an accompanying self-shot and self-edited video, is part of an ongoing series of fan-picked acoustic covers that Neonfly recorded earlier this year during the COVID-19 lockdown in London.
The covers were picked by fans last year as part of a highly successful crowdfunding campaign that Neonfly organised, that has financed their upcoming 3rd album, ‘The Future Tonight’ with Grammy-Award nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda (Motorhead, Bring Me The Horizon, Funeral for a Friend) and Miro Rodenberg (Avantasia) on keys and orchestral arrangements.
Details about the album release will be revealed soon. In the meantime, fans can enjoy a new acoustic cover weekly on Thursdays, including this week’s cover of Edguy. Other artists that Neonfly has covered so far include: Marillion, Joe Cocker and Threshold. The list of yet to-be-released songs is truly varied and eclectic and the band have placed their distinctive stamp on all of them. With some really unexpected choices long-time fans, and others new to Neonfly, are sure to be intrigued & entertained until the release of the new album.

Some people will always remember him as the sunglasses wearing pupil from ‘To Sir With Love’ and some, like the Go, Go, Go Girl, will remember him in red leather pants fronting POWER STATION at 1985’s “Live Aid”. Die Laughing’s Dave Dalton, remembers him with his band SILVERHEAD in 1973, and meeting him briefly in LA, as well as some years later with DETECTIVE (on Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song Records) at ‘The Old Waldorf’ In 1977. Still others remember the character he created “Murdoc” on the ABC MacGyver series, that spanned into the CBS reboot. However, you know this man, his career has spanned almost 50 years.
DES BARRES and DLR are backing this collaboration to showcase Michael and his band THE MISTAKES to a whole new fan base, the “Millennials” if you will. We know the “Hot Topic” era punks will embrace his past works such as SILVERHEAD, CHEQUERED PAST and DETECTIVE, and the street punk sound Michael has now perfected with THE MISTAKES.Die Laughing Records are looking forward to releasing more new music, including a ‘Live’ EP in 2020 to a new and nostalgic audience.

Suffolk based GHOSTS OF ATLANTIS have premiered the first track ‘Halls Of Lemuria’ taken from their debut album, set for release early 2021 via Black Lion records.
Hailing from deepest, darkest Suffolk, Ghosts Of Atlantis are a metal band that carry a wealth of experience and professionalism. Like both Cradle Of Filth, and Devilment before it, Ghosts Of Atlantis continues the tradition and staple of the witch county trademark sound. The sound is dark and aggressive, sinister and twisted, yet universally appealing due to big chorus lines, emotive orchestration and massive hooks Sonically, the band crosses many genres and lyrical styles, from poetic spoken word elements, full choirs, and memorable choruses to guttural destruction carried forth through the main vocals. Ghosts Of Atlantis (G.O.A) features both present and past members of Devilment, Failed Humanity, The Conflict Within and Cold Lazarus.
Founder Colin Park states : “Halls of Lemuria” The road ahead is long and the elements ruthless. The Atlantian people embark on a pilgrimage to reach the great halls of Lemuria. For it is within these sacred walls, that the power to turn the tide of battle resides. The power to summon the Ghosts of Atlantis and give hope to the people of Atlantis.
With their much anticipated fifth full-length album “Dwellers of the Deep” set for release on Karisma Records on the 23rd October, Prog Rockers WOBBLER have released “Naiad Dreams”, a new single from the album, together with an accompanying video for the track.
“Naiad Dreams” is available to stream or download at this location.
Whilst the video, which is a live version of the track, filmed live in Wobblers rehearsal space, can be seen below.
“Naiad Dreams” is special in the way that it’s our first foray into a short song that stands on its own. It came to life late in the recording process and was written and recorded on an inspired May morning. It’s a rather minimalistic composition with very few elements that gets plenty of room to shine. It is the breathing space on the coming album where playful naiads make you gaze into the depths.
Consisting of four distinctive pieces, “Dwellers of the Deep” is an album that builds on everything that WOBBLER has achieved so far, and takes the band in new musical directions with both carefully planned pieces and passionately jammed compositions. It is an album that is open, detailed, warm and punchy, and one that showcases why WOBBLER is considered to be one of the most exciting and and interesting bands on the global music scene, independent of genre.
Formed in Hønefoss in 1999, WOBBLER’s lineup features Lars Fredrik Frøislie on keyboards and backing vocals, Martin Nordrum Kneppen on drums, percussion and recorder, Kristian Karl Hultgren on bass, Andreas Wettergreen Strømman Prestmo on vocals, guitar, glockenspiel, recorder and percussion and Geir Marius Bergom Halleland on lead guitar and backing vocals.
The production on “Dwellers of the Deep” highlights the aural idiosyncrasies of the Norwegian quintet, and the soundscapes put together by Frøislie are a vertitable feast for the ears . With cover illustration by Athanasius Kircher, and graphic design by Thomas Kaldhol , track listing for “Dwellers of the Deep” is as follows:
1. By the Banks (13:49) 2. Five Rooms (08:28) 3. Naiad Dreams (04:24) 4. Merry Macabre (19:00)
“Dwellers Of The Deep” will be available in Digipak CD and digital formats, as well as in four different 180 gram gatefold vinyl editions; black vinyl, two different limited edition coloured vinyls, and a limited edition transparent vinyl. All the limited editions come with a poster.
