SMASH INTO PIECES issued:

Today we’re proud to release ‘Somebody Like You’, a brand new collaboration between Smash Into Pieces and Within Temptation.

This song is a deeply emotional rock ballad about vulnerability, longing, and the human need for connection. Built around a 22-piece orchestra, it moves between intimate moments and cinematic intensity – balancing fragility and strength in a way that feels honest and timeless.

By bringing together Within Temptation’s symphonic depth and Smash Into Pieces’ modern, dramatic edge, the song meets at the emotional core rather than overpowering itself. The result is something expansive, personal, and meant to linger long after the final note fades.

Stream “Somebody Like You” now on all platforms!

The official music video for ‘Somebody Like You’ premieres this Tuesday.
A visual extension of the song’s emotional world – stay tuned.
Thank you for listening and being part of this journey.

Rockshots Records is proud to announce the release of “The Great Unknown”, the new official video by Finnish progressive metal act Canvas Of Silence. Featured on the band’s debut full-length album “As The World Tree Fell,” the song is now presented in a new version introducing Aino Vuorenmaa as the new lead singer of the band, marking an important step in Canvas Of Silence’s ongoing evolution.

Following the previously released singles “Drown”, “One With The Wind” and “Humanimal”, the latter having been featured in Spotify’s editorial playlist Metallia Suomesta, alongside the album focus track “Wayfarer”, this new version of “The Great Unknown” represents a pivotal moment within the record’s conceptual and emotional journey, while also signaling a renewed artistic direction.

Musically, “The Great Unknown” stands as one of the album’s most direct and immediate compositions, while remaining unmistakably true to the band’s sonic identity. Progressive metal foundations are enriched by expansive melodic lines, atmospheric textures, and dynamic arrangements that balance intensity and accessibility. With the introduction of the new vocal line, the song unfolds with renewed momentum, allowing its emotional weight to emerge with even greater clarity and purpose.

With “As The World Tree Fell,” Canvas Of Silence delivered a cohesive and emotionally charged debut album exploring themes of collapse, transformation, and renewal. Within this broader arc, the new version of “The Great Unknown” functions both as a moment of focus and as a statement of renewal, reflecting the band’s evolving identity and the beginning of a new chapter.

For fans of Pain of Salvation, Nightwish, In Flames, and all those drawn to music that challenges, moves, and transforms, will find much to explore in the world of Canvas Of Silence’s debut album, “As The World Tree Fell,” released on October 31, 2025.

Canadian metalcore outfit The Veer Union return with their powerful new single ‘Venom In My Veins’, offering another intense glimpse into their upcoming album Reinvention, set for release on 20th February, 2026 via Arising Empire.

Stream here: https://arisingempire.com/theveerunion

Driven by massive hooks, gritty guitar work, and the unmistakable vocal presence of frontman Crispin Earl, ‘Venom In My Veins’ blends raw aggression with emotional weight. The track captures The Veer Union at their most focused and personal, balancing modern metalcore intensity with the band’s signature hard-rock songwriting, resulting in a song that hits hard while remaining deeply relatable.

Following a series of strong releases that have steadily shaped the narrative of Reinvention, the new single continues to underline the album’s core theme: transformation through adversity. Rather than reinventing themselves for the sake of change, The Veer Union refine everything that defines them, heavier, sharper, and more honest than ever before.

With Reinvention arriving on 20th February, 2026, The Veer Union are building toward one of the most defining chapters of their career. ‘Venom In My Veins’ stands as another clear statement of intent: this is a band fully in control of their sound, their message, and their momentum.

On January 16th, 2026, Satan Takes A Holiday release Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 via Icons Creating Evil Art — the first installment of a broader album project that began with a series of singles released in 2025 and will continue unfolding through summer 2026.

As the title suggests, Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 collects reinterpretations of classic songs from different eras and genres, all filtered through the band’s raw energy, garage-rock grit, and punk swagger. The EP showcases the band’s evolving creative process while honoring the music that helped shape their sound.

EP Tracklist — Covering Our Tracks: Part 1
01. Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World (Ramones) feat. Rockenrollex
02. Gettin’ Away With Murder (Baby Grande) feat. Nicke Andersson
03. You’re the One That I Want (Travolta/Newton-John — Grease)
04. I Can’t Stop Thinking About It X Shady Lady & The Malefactor
(The Dirtbombs) feat. Danne McKenzie
05. Rumble! 2026 (Link Wray)

Focus Track: Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World feat. Rockenrollex
The EP opens with Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World, a high-voltage cover of the Ramones classic, reimagined as a punk duet with longtime friend Rockenrollex. A staple of the band’s live show for years, this studio recording injects fresh aggression and melodic bite into one of punk’s most irreverent anthems.
– “Ramones’ bold and tongue-in-cheek portrayal of a young German boy longing for love, approval, and belonging remains both courageous and disarmingly timely today. We’ve had this song in our setlists for a couple of years now, but for the studio recording we wanted to give it something special — so we brought in our friend, the Sekt’s own Rockenrollex, to turn it into a punk rock duet.”

Collected alongside the opening track are the three singles released across 2025 — each a reinterpretation of a well-known or cult favorite, now given the band’s visceral garage-punk touch:

Gettin’ Away With Murder feat. Nicke Andersson — a cover of the Australian glam-rock track by Baby Grande. In this version, Nicke Andersson (noted for his work with The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric, Entombed and more) delivers a fiery guest guitar solo that elevates the song into high-octane rock territory.

You’re the One That I Want — taken from the iconic Grease soundtrack (originally performed by John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John), the band recasts the 1970s pop favorite as a gritty, guitar-driven doomy rock stomper — equal parts swagger and subversion.

I Can’t Stop Thinking About It X Shady Lady & the Malefactor feat. Danne McKenzie — this hybrid cover brings together elements of The Dirtbombs’ garage-rock classic with additional flavors from collaborators Shady Lady & the Malefactor. With Danne McKenzie stepping up as lead vocalist, the song becomes a sweeping, hypnotic journey through fuzz, groove, and sing-along hooks.

The EP closes with Rumble! 2026, a modernized take on Link Wray’s instrumental groundbreaking classic — a piece of rock history reinterpreted with taut muscle and contemporary edge.

An Album Built in Chapters

Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 is more than a collection of covers — it’s an intentional snapshot of an album unfolding in real time. By revisiting foundational songs from across decades and reshaping them with sweat, stance, and spirit, Satan Takes A Holiday embrace the lineage of rock music while charting their own creative path heading into 2026.

Satan Takes A Holiday are one of Sweden’s most dynamic rock acts, blending classic rock’n’roll, garage rock, punk attitude and modern edge into a sound that’s at once familiar and fiercely their own. With multiple albums and extensive touring across Europe, the band has earned a reputation for energetic live shows and fearless reinterpretations. With years of touring experience across Europe, they’ve shared stages with acts such as KISS, The Sonics, Mustasch, Juliette Lewis, Backyard Babies, and Imperial State Electric, earning a reputation as a must-see live act that grips audiences with raw energy and infectious groove.

The band’s singles have attracted attention across major platforms and media — including support from BBC 6 Music (featuring Iggy Pop) as well as regular rotation on Sweden’s P3 and Bandit Rock, and critical praise from Classic Rock, Louder Sound, and Rock Hard.

Rather than treating rock history as untouchable, the band approaches it as raw material — something to honor, test, and make personal. Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 continues this tradition, weaving collaboration and reinvention into a multi-chapter album project that unfolds throughout 2026.

MAMMON’S THRONE Announce New Album “My Body to the Worms”, Video for First Single ‘Elixir’ Out Now

Australian death doom outfit Mammon’s Throne have announced the release of their third full length My Body to the Worms on 13th March, 2026 via Hammerheart Records.

In celebration, the band has released the first heavy track ‘Elixir’ in the form of an official music video which is streaming via the Hammerheart Records YouTube channel.

Pre-order My Body to the Worms here: https://mammonsthrone.lnk.to/mybodytotheworms

Mammon’s Throne comment on the track: “During the album writing process, we set out to have a no frills, in your face, pummeling track and thought it would be fun to include some influence from hardcore music by including a breakdown towards the end of the song. We jokingly referred to this new amalgamation as “Funeral-Slam”, a label which seems to be sticking.

The theme of the lyrics came together very organically while jamming the riffs and they have definitely hooked people in when we have performed the track live, as we are frequently asked when the “Nosferatu” song is coming.

‘Elixir’ was recorded to a live studio drum performance to capture the natural dynamics and tempo Mammon’s Throne is known for during our live shows. Amesh recorded and mixed the remainder of the track in his home studio, adding multiple guitar layers and heavy reverb to capture Nosferatu‘s foreboding presence in her castle, draining the life force of countless victims.

Some say the multiple screeches and shrieks heard in the track were the 2 guitarists’ pickups haunted and possessed by the vampire herself. Special guest vocals provided by Count Louis Peter Meoackovic, Nosferatu‘s feline minion and production superintendent. See if you can figure out where he’s lurking in the song!
“

After relentless gigging and the success of their 2020 debut album Forward Unto Flame, Mammon’s Throne have established themselves as a force to be reckoned within the Australian live music scene. They followed this up with an epic offering of extreme doom on their self-titled release in 2023. This album saw the band fully embrace the death-doom and black metal aspects of their sound and was met with great admiration by listeners and reviewers.

On the back of the strength of their live performances and respect within the local music community, the band have supported multiple international touring acts such as My Dying Bride, Pallbearer, Conan, Triumph of Death and Rotting Christ to name a few and have done a run of shows in Japan in 2024.

Mammon’s Throne have signed with Hammerheart Records to release their third album My Body to the Worms, which is due on the 13th of March 2026 and represents their most ambitious work to date. The band effortlessly weaves elements of death metal, black metal, doom metal and more to create an engrossing and narrative atmosphere with poignant and memorable lyrics, intricate guitar work and diverse vocal styles that are sure to keep listeners coming back time and time again.

Track-list:
1. Senseless Death
2. Clandestine Unholy Rites
3. Elixir
4. Every Day More Sickened
5. At the Threshold of Eternity
6. An Angel’s Grace
7. Departed
