THE BLOODSHOTS are a true rock & roll band from Western Canada. Winnipeg-ish to be precise, the home to some of Canada’s great bands.

Their never-say-die attitude fuels the engine under the hood pushes these denim-clad rockers further down the heart-worn highway of busted bottles and broken promises. Destination? Rock & roll Damnation. Singer CJ’s in-your-face vocals cut over ripping guitars as the ear-drum assault announces that a high-energy stage performance is about to engage the audience with pure raw power.

Their latest single, No Way Out, out now via Golden Robot Records, is a rock anthem that grabs you by the ears and doesn’t let go for 3 and a half minutes. The guys produce that loud rock sound with a catchy chorus that they’ve been known for. Lyrically, frontman CJ Loane brings out his demons for the party and you’re all invited. Buckle up world.

The Bloodshots are a rock band from Western Canada. Performing alongside Rock music’s greats including Finger Eleven, Buckcherry, Danko Jones, Moist, Econoline Crush, One Bad Son, Three Days Grace, Monster Truck, Steel Panther, SLASH, The Lazys, Jet Set Satellite, Hawthorne Heights and Senses Fail among many more.

From small town dives to casino stages and concert halls, these blue-collar boys have proven that they have what it takes to grab the next rung of the ladder. With the support of Canadian FM Rock and Indigenous stations The Bloodshots have been expanding their listener base aggressively. Growing traction on streaming platforms has proven to bolster their already rapidly expanding base of fans through repeat listeners and playlist placement. Online might be your best shot at hearing the band on recording since they can’t quite seem to keep any physical copies on hand: that’s how quickly they’re selling them out, *but it doesn’t stop there… *

A sliver of success is never enough, no matter the size, when you’re on your long way to the top. The band has partnered with legendary rock & roll producer Steve Rizun for their coming release. Steve’s penchant for pulling the meanest leanest no-foolin’-est sound out of musicians is a perfect coupling with The Bloodshots’ buck-shot ferocity.
The momentum built by working with past producers Dale Penner, John Paul Peters, Sean Dealy and now Rizun is propelling this freight train right through the station. It ain’t stopping until there is no more track to run!

You don’t need to be certified donkey-brains-free to see that The Bloodshots are the next big thing in Canadian rock music, but it is a no-brainer.

TOMORROW’S RAIN Debut New Video For NICK CAVE Cover “The Weeping Song”

Tel Aviv metal band TOMORROW’S RAIN has released a new music video for their dark metal take on goth icon NICK CAVE’s beloved classic “The Weeping Song.” The cover features guests Anders Jacobsson  (DRACONIAN), Kobi Farhi (ORPHANED LAND) and Lisa Cuthbert (live vocalist for THE SISTERS OF MERCY) and is found on the band’s recently released, debut album Hollow that’s available now from AOP Records.

Vocalist Yishai Swearts states:

“Growing up in the 80’s Nick Cave was always there, an idol, his lyrics found a warm place within my heart when I was pretty young, apart from that Nick is a mentor when it comes to face traumatic events in life and carry on, heal your soul and sing your pain, Nick’s last 2 albums are pure reflection of the message we try to deliver in “Hollow”: at the end of the day we have to carry on, we have to heal ourselves and continue the journey.

We think that the interesting idea in a cover version is always to the take song to “your own” area, never understood bands who just played the original song as is, it’s pointless and in almost every case it’s weaker than the original, by doing a cover the idea is not to be stronger than the original but to play the original in your own language, in your own way.

Our dear old friend Kobi Farhi from Orphaned Land sang with me the duet, the idea was that one of us will be the father and the other will be the son, also joined in are Anders from Draconian doing growling vocals with me and Lisa Cuthbert with female voc.”

ORPHANED LAND’s Kobi Farhi adds:

“Nick Cave is probably my favorite artist, second only to Leonard Cohen. From childhood till this day he never ceases to amaze me with his great ability to create sincere, painful art and music. I am honored to take part in a cover made for one of his classic songs, I think covers is a very tricky thing that you shouldn’t go and do so easily, but this cover definitely achieved its goal and it’s a great one!”

TOMORROW’S RAIN’s epic debut features an all star list of guest musicians including members of Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Rotting Christ, Moonspell, Septicflesh, Draconian and more, “Hollow” is a breathtaking journey into the depths of doom and darkness.

HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH Announce New Album Details

Swedish black death juggernauts HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH have announced the release of new album Välde, the apocalyptically heavy follow-up to 2019’s Abyssal, on 12th February 2021 via Unique Leader.

The announcement follows the release of crushing new single ‘Vittring’, watch the video here: https://youtu.be/_RBiC8WvW8I and stream here: https://orcd.co/vittring

Meaning ‘Empire’ in Swedish, Välde is a darker, bleaker journey than it’s predecessor, with a further emphasis on the atmospheric nature of the band’s sound and the use of dissonance, creating a claustrophobic, dense record that pulverises the senses. Almost uncomfortably bleak at times, echoes of the likes of Ulver and Meshuggah are present on Välde, combining perfectly with HLB‘s signature blackened groove template that they have become renowned. An atomic bomb of a record – this is HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH in their coldest, nastiest form.

Pre-order Välde here: https://orcd.co/valde and here: https://www.impericon.com/de/humanity-s-last-breath-valde-digipak-cd.html

5. Spectre
6. Dehumanize
7. Hadean

Polish TRUP Unveil New Album Details

The three-headed terror machine from Warsaw, TRUP, strike with their sophomore album. The record carries an enigmatic title ‘KE‘ and consists of fourteen intense tracks that hit your face with an insane mixture of noise, grind, death metal and black metal. This sonic tornado explodes in your face with spontaneous arrangements, vibrating tempos, frenzied vocals and raw sound. All these features make ‘KE‘ a vibrant, as well as uncompromisingly expressive material. You can say a lot of things about Trup – call them specific, over the line, cacophonous, unbearable… But you can’t just walk by them emotionessly because they’re definitely one of those “love them or hate them” bands.

Ready to be hit by the raging sonic juggernaut? ‘KE‘ will be released on November 11, 2020. The album is available in standard jewel case CD version and digital format.

Listen to the entire stuff here:

The band comments: “‘KE’ is a result of two recording sessions, both at Mustache Ministry studio in Warsaw, Poland – the first one took place in late 2019 and the second one in June 2020. Our previous album, ‘Szmula,’ was an attempt to create a new path for the band, and at the same time we wanted to sneak in some amok into our sound. ‘KE,’ however, was our way to release our rage and fury. We still aim to make improvised music without any boundaries. The tunes you can hear on our new album are the initial versions of the songs – no overdubs, no composing, no lyric writing. If you like the music, just write your own words about your own problems… or don’t. At the end of the day, it’s all about the noise.”
