Las Vegas punk outfit THE MINGES have released their debut single through F-Bomb Records. “Geezer Pleaser” is a three and a half minute chaotic ride through happy hell and was produced by Cody Leavitt at Asteroid M Studios in Las Vegas.
Highly melodic and instantly memorable, the track was inspired by a tale as old as time; young women using old men for money- now with inflation(!) and, according to bassist, Stephy Muzio came together in typical Minges fashion. “Jessie came with some lyrics, Joe came back with a guitar riff and a melody, and after a lot of alcohol and fleshing it out in rehearsal -complete with a fridge full of alcohol and a dream- Geezer came together like a one night stand.”
“Geezer Pleaser” is slated to appear on the band’s debut full length, tentatively titled Dumpster Dive for Love, set for release later in 2026. Combining the band’s self released Eps, ‘Trim’ and ‘Ono, Oh Yeah,’ as well as two newly recorded songs, “Call of the Cougar” and “Double Down Jukebox,” ‘Dumpster Dive for Love’ is expected to be a hard hitting 2026 favourite among the punk and crossover rock crowd.

To support the single, the quartet has released an accompanying video. Shot in Las Vegas at Grey Witch, the “Geezer Pleaser” video was directed and produced by Chris Reject.. Mimicking a cable TV talk show, the clip features singer Messy Jessie, the ultimate geezer pleaser, showing off each adoring elderly lover regardless of their ailing health, as Eric (security guard) and Stephy (production assistant) try to keep the geezers, Messy Jessie, and the host (Joe), calm so the show can move as smoothly as the body after a cup of Metamucil.

FIREFLASH RECORDS is proud to announce the signing of Swedish speed/thrash metal newcomers XION! The quintet was formed in 2022, when some of the members were still under 18, yet they were already playing with the same precision and energy as more established metal bands.

The combination of the members’ young age and their extremely precise and virtuoso musical skills has made XION one of the most interesting and promising newcomers on the Swedish metal scene in many years.
In January 2024, XION released their debut album “Between Shadows and Gods”, produced by Johan Reivén (RAM,HOSTILIA a.o.). They opened as the support act for IN FLAMES and the GENE SIMMONS BAND at the legendary “Dalhalla Arena” and performed at several festivals, including “Gefle Metal”, “Sweden Rock Festival” and the “Sabaton Cruise”. Their concerts have been highly praised. Sweden Rock Magazine awarded one of their live performances 9/10 points, and their performance at the “Sweden Rock Festival” itself received a rating of 4/5. In 2023, the band also won the “Imagine Sweden” music competition.
In June 2025, XION released the single “Wasteland of Time”, produced by Jonas Arnberg (METHANE,DEMONICAL a. o.), who is also producing the band’s upcoming studio album, “When Stars Collide”. This track also convinced Fireflash Records to offer them a record-deal. “I remember Janne Mattsson from Sweden Rock Magazine once telling me to keep an eye on this young new band called Xion. I did and when they released their latest single, I was fully blown away and got in touch with them and we started talking. I love discovering new bands, exchanging ideas and eventually bringing them to life. “Death”, the new HEAVENWOOD single and visualizer video, marks the beginning of “The Tarot Of The Bohemians – Part II”, while simultaneously echoing the final breath of its predecessor. Serving as both an ending and a rebirth, the track embodies the symbolic transition between cycles, worlds and states of being.
Deeply rooted in the esoteric language of the Tarot and inspired by the Major Arcana’s transformative symbolism, “Death” explores destruction not as a finality, but as an essential passage toward regeneration. Within the conceptual framework of the 22 Tarot cards, the song represents movement, metamorphosis and the inevitable crossing from one spiritual and emotional plane into another.
“This piece represents the beginning of Part II, in the same way that it also reflects the ending of the previous album (Part I), while not forgetting that this same theme and concept, when framed within the whole and within the 22 cards of the Major Arcana of the Tarot, also represents a passage”, states Heavenwood mastermind Ricardo Dias dos Santos.

A whole decade after their last album, Portuguese gothic/dark metal pioneers Heavenwood announce the release of their highly-anticipated new record, “The Tarot Of The Bohemians – Part II”, set for worldwide release via Mighty Music on LP, CD and digital formats. Marking the second and final chapter of the conceptual work inspired by the hermetic writings of Gérard Encausse (Papus), the album was recorded at Lucky Cat Studio (Portugal) and mixed and mastered at Vamacara Studios (France) by acclaimed producer Niko HK Krauss (Loudblast, Sirenia), elevating the band’s sound to new levels of sophistication and intensity.
“Every work has its own story, and this new album goes far beyond being merely a concept and a continuation of the first part released in 2016″, composer, founder, guitarist and singer Ricardo Dias dos Santos comments. “Against all odds that arose in 2022 – after a near-fatal accident and imperative changes that led to a number of irreversible decisions – the conclusion of “The Tarot Of The Bohemians” finally sees the light of day, continuing a legacy that has endured for more than 30 years”.

With this “Part II” of the concept started with “The Tarot Of The Bohemians” (Massacre Records) in 2016, Heavenwood dive even deeper into the esoteric and emotional dimensions of the Tarot. This album represents both continuity and transformation – it carries Heavenwood melancholic DNA, but it also pushes the band into a more cinematic, intense and contemporary sonic realm.
“The Tarot Of The Bohemians – Part II” signals a bold new creative chapter for Ricardo Dias dos Santos. The first glimpse into this renewed cycle came with the digital single “Death”, which laid the conceptual and atmospheric foundations for the new opus.
With a career spanning over three decades, Heavenwood have long stood as one of Portugal’s most respected Metal exports. Since their seminal debut “Diva” (1996, Massacre Records) – the first album by a Portuguese Metal band to be released in Japan – the band has shared stages with international heavyweights such as Cradle of Filth, In Flames, Amorphis and Portugal’s own Moonspell, while also performing at prestigious events including Wacken Open Air.

Battle Inside is the third single from Finnish heavy rock/metal band Rugged Butcher from the Helsinki metropolitan area. The song is about conquering mental challenges that we all seem to face at times. Crushing guitars, great melody, this one you need to hear! The other band member Mikko Aittola tells about the song: “Battle inside started with a great intro riff by Timo and and was forged as a full song between Timo and me. On the new track, Brent shares:
“This song is about coming up in a scene where you feel like an outsider no matter what you do or how many dues you’ve paid. I’m not the only one in Richmond who feels that way and I’m sure we’re not the only town that has a music scene with severe and unspoken gatekeeping problems. This is an anthem for the outcasts among the outcasts and for anyone that’s never going to be accepted by the cool kids crowd. You’re welcome in our gang, we are in this together.”
In a world full of pleasantries and kiss-assing, U.S. BASTARDS are neither.
