Finnish diverse melodic modern metal band Blackment releases their second studio album “Pandemonium Portrait” on September 18th. Now they have released the final single named “Pulsar” from the upcoming album.

“I remember my first rehearsals, and I knew I was really looking forward to performing the vocal parts I’d just recorded. My mind was racing with ideas about how Muse, RATM, and Diablo could be combined in a fun way with my own style for that particular song. I noticed that performing this gave me a kind of energy boost, and it still manages to surprise me during rehearsals. Somehow, I always pause and become aware of the present moment. Nothing is certain.” tells the singer Sami Vuorenheimo.

Listen to the single on music services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, YouTube Music etc.): https://push.fm/fl/blackment-pulsar

–Composition & arrangement: Allan Välimaa
–Lyrics: Sami Vuorenheimo
–Recording engineer: Harri Petjakko
–Mixer: Matias Kupiainen
–Mastering Engineer: Mika Jussila
–Cover artwork: Akseli Aalto
–Blackment-logo: Ania Bodziarczyk

“Allan gave me a song to write lyrics for, and I listened to it on repeat with my eyes closed. I thought about what images and thoughts it evoked in me, keeping the theme in mind. Pulsar was born out of a minor existential crisis.”

‘Pulsar’ takes the listener on a journey through the mysteries of the universe and illustrates the endless possibilities as well as the things the human mind cannot comprehend. Inspired by Sigmund Freud, I came up with the idea for a story in which the protagonist moves forward like a ship heading toward a lighthouse, toward the light of the pulsar. The idea that death could be a goal for humans fascinated me at the time. This evolved into a magnificent story about life and its continuation (or renewal) into the next phase.” Sami continues.

RED CODE Unveil New Single & Video ‘Toxic Karma’

Alternative prog metal outfit Red Code have released their powerful new single and official music video, “Toxic Karma,” the latest preview of their forthcoming EP, “Traces of Unease and Discomfort, Pt. 1”, set for release on September 25, 2026, via Epictronic.

“Toxic Karma” explores the destructive cycles we create for ourselves and the difficult process of breaking free from them. The song looks inward, confronting fear, frustration, and the struggle to overcome our own limitations. Driven by raw emotion, crushing riffs, and an intense dynamic, it captures the sound of fighting your own shadows.

The video is one of three chapters in An Archive of Us, a sci-fi/thriller short film that uses a dystopian setting to examine the need for control. The other two chapters are built around the tracks “Quarantine” and “Toxic Karma.” The project was produced by S@NGIORGIO 2020, with technical support from Infinity Digital.

About Red Code

Red Code were formed in Trieste as a live act, founded by vocalist Lenina, drummer Ivo, and bassist Andrea Bossi, who later passed away. Lenina and the rest of the group decided to carry on. The sound is built around her vocals and the four instruments, with no backing tracks or studio sequencing live.

Over the years, the band have played small clubs, festivals, and motorcycle rallies, opening for Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil), Exilia, Nicola Manzan (Bologna Violenta), Pierpaolo Capovilla (Il Teatro degli Orrori), Underwaves, Tystnaden, Logical Terror, and Break Me Down. They’ve also been featured on Radio Rai.

“Traces of Unease and Discomfort” is the band’s first studio release after years of live performance. The sound combines the aggression of alternative metal — with reference points like System of a Down and Godsmack — with the structural influence of prog acts like Dream Theater and Fates Warning.

BOCC Premiere New Single ‘Ànima D’Acer’ from Sophomore Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 11, 2026

Barcelona-based death-doom formation BOCC have teamed up with Mystification Zine for the premiere of “Ànima D’Acer”, a new track taken from their upcoming second full-length album “Demolarium”, set for release on September 11th, 2026 via Night Terrors Records.

Formed in Catalonia in 2019, BOCC have steadily developed a crushing and uncompromising approach that draws from the heaviest corners of extreme music, merging the suffocating weight of doom with the aggression of death metal, the abrasive textures of sludge and the raw urgency of crust punk.

Listen to the premiere of “Ànima D’Acer” now at THIS LOCATION.

“Demolarium” is a record built on density and decay, where the suffocating slow-motion devastation of death-doom collides with the rough edges and confrontational energy of punk. A harsh and visceral journey that carries the feeling of a live rehearsal room rather than a polished studio product – a testament to the band’s commitment to keeping their music direct, heavy and real.

BOCC’s lyrics, entirely written and performed in Catalan, move away from conventional extreme metal themes, drawing instead from the history, folklore, myths and macabre events of Catalonia and Barcelona. Their music reflects a deep connection with their roots, while also standing firmly within the anti-fascist movement that has shaped their identity since the beginning.

For fans of Coffins, Grief, Autopsy, Winter, Fistula, Cianide and Eyehategod, “Demolarium” delivers a bleak and punishing vision where death metal brutality meets the hopeless weight of doom and the raw spirit of crust.

Night Terrors Records will release the album on colored and black vinyl editions, accompanied by a limited edition fanzine entirely dedicated to BOCC, continuing the label’s tradition of celebrating the artists beyond the music itself.

BOCC will also bring their crushing live assault to CastellHell Reborns in Spain in October 2026, sharing the stage with acts including Dead Congregation, Galvanizer, Benighted and Cerebral Curse.

Tracklist:

1. Demolarium
2. Estigma
3. Escorxador
4. 4227
5. Calvari (Dels Condemnats)
6. Ànima D’Acer

Line-up:

Emilio – Guitars / Vocals
Andreu – Bass / Vocals
Linares – Drums

BEAUTIFUL SKELETONS to Release New Album “Pulse/ Line/ Scar” on August 21st

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 11, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: BEAUTIFUL SKELETONS. Leave a comment

Rising alternative metal band Beautiful Skeletons have announced the release of their forthcoming album, Pulse/Line/Scar, arriving August 21st via WURMgroup. Produced by legendary heavy music producer Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Static-X, Breaking Benjamin, White Zombie), the album captures a band unafraid to tear everything apart in pursuit of something honest, powerful, and enduring. Coinciding with the album’s release, Beautiful Skeletons will also premiere the official music video for “Myrkur,” giving fans a powerful visual to one of the album’s standout tracks.

More than a collection of songs, Pulse/Line/Scar serves as a deeply personal yet universally relatable body of work, exploring resilience, identity, loss, and the invisible threads that connect every human experience.

The band shares, “Pulse Line Scar is a universal anthology of lived stories, brought together by the thin red pulse line that connects us all, the same line that brings us life and the same line that leaves a permanent impression.”

Set for release on August 21st through WURMgroup, Pulse/Line/Scar showcases a band that has found strength in vulnerability and purpose through perseverance. Every track reflects the tension between chaos and clarity, pain and healing, creating an album that is as emotionally immersive as it is sonically crushing.

With Pulse/Line/Scar, Beautiful Skeletons are poised to establish themselves as one of alternative metal’s most compelling emerging acts, delivering an album that doesn’t simply ask to be heard, it demands to be felt.

Stream/Buy Pulse/Line/Scar: https://linktr.ee/beautifulskeletonsband

Tracklisting:

  1. Come What May
  2. Running Cold
  3. Myrkur
  4. Phantom
  5. Crown of Sorrow
  6. Effigy
  7. The Test
  8. Bitter End
  9. Dropping Anchor
  10. Rainbows & Unicorns

Beautiful Skeletons didn’t come together cleanly and that’s exactly the point.

The band was formed in 2017 after guitarist Einar posted a Craigslist ad searching for a vocalist. What began as an instinctive collaboration gradually evolved through lineup changes, setbacks, and creative discovery. Over time, the project transformed from an idea into something none of the members were willing to walk away from—a defining commitment that became, in their words, a “do or die decision you can only make once.”

That commitment intensified in 2022 when the band received management support and hit the road alongside Yngwie Malmsteen. The experience offered an unfiltered look at the realities of the music industry and solidified their determination to push Beautiful Skeletons beyond potential and into purpose.

Trying to categorize Beautiful Skeletons has never been easy—and they prefer it that way.

Drawing inspiration from Deftones, Alice In Chains, Sevendust, Korn, and Nine Inch Nails, the group seamlessly blends crushing riffs, haunting atmosphere, soaring melodies, and modern heaviness into a sound that refuses to stay confined to one genre.

That fearless approach reached its fullest expression during the recording of Pulse/Line/Scar. Recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Ulrich Wild at WURMgroup, every song was challenged, dismantled, and rebuilt until it carried the emotional and sonic weight the band envisioned. The process forced Beautiful Skeletons to confront not only their songwriting but also their identity as musicians, resulting in their most focused and powerful work to date.

Beautiful Skeletons:
Tina Firefly – Vocals
Jason Johnson – Bass
Huwy Williams- Drums
Einar Einarsson- Guitars

JARED JAMES NICHOLS Releases New Video ‘Dust N’ Bones’ from Latest Album

JARED JAMES NICHOLS is stoked to drop a new video for his latest single “Dust N’ Bones.” The track is taken from his fourth studio album, ‘Louder Than Fate,’ which was released earlier this summer via Frontiers Music Srl.

NICHOLS comments on “Dust N’ Bones”:

“Dust N’ Bones is an all-out anthem for anyone who lives and breathes good old-fashioned rock & roll. I wrote this one with my good friend Jacob Bunton, and we pulled absolutely no punches. This track has no mercy—just loud guitars, big hooks, and pure rock attitude. Turn it all the way up!”

‘Louder Than Fate’ was produced and mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Amon Amarth, Skindred, and Steel Panther) with additional production by Roger Alan Nichols (Larkin Poe, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown and Hayley Williams of Paramore), ‘Louder Than Fate’ balances muscle and melody, combining thunderous riffs, searing solos, and emotionally charged vocals with a modern, punchy production. The songs move effortlessly between hard-hitting rock anthems and more reflective, dynamic moments, showcasing NICHOLS’ ability to fuse classic influences with a contemporary edge. Tracks like “Bending or Breaking” and “Killing Time” expand the sonic palette with subtle keyboards and cinematic string arrangements, adding depth without ever sacrificing power.

Since his breakout debut, JARED JAMES NICHOLS has built a reputation as one of the most electrifying guitarists and performers of his generation. Known for his unmistakable tone, fearless playing style, and commanding stage presence, he has toured extensively across the US and Europe, sharing stages with some of the biggest names in rock and earning praise from fans and critics alike.

‘Louder Than Fate’ is not just an album — it’s a declaration. A record that speaks to resilience, conviction, and the unstoppable force of an artist who plays every note as if it truly matters. Loud, honest, and deeply human, this is JARED JAMES NICHOLS at his absolute best.

Today, Cleveland’s unholy denizens of the underground, NUNSLAUGHTER, unleash their new single “Listen to the Lies,” taken from the recently released album ‘Satanic Chaos Legions,’ out now via BLKIIBLK. The new track arrives alongside an official video, available to view below.

On “Listen to the Lies,” vocalist Don of the Dead shares:

“Religion is the biggest, blood-soaked lie ever imposed upon mankind! Rip the blindfold off and use your goddamn common sense, you brain-dead, ignorant bastards! Don’t listen to the lies.”

A constant in extreme metal and an unyielding inspiration for generations of black metal and thrash provocateurs, NUNSLAUGHTER’s latest hymnal of brutality kicks off with a call to irreligious arms and doesn’t let go until the bloody end. Tracks like the grinding “Peukharist” or the uncompromising “Unsacrament” batter the senses like the bastard offspring of Slayer and ‘Earth A.D.’-era Misfits, inverting crucifixes while worshipping at the hoof of the ibex.

Having already set fire to the international metal scene with festival appearances across the globe and a European tour on the way, make no mistake: NUNSLAUGHTER’s campaign of world-defilement is just beginning.

On the new album, Don of the Dead shares:

“With BLKIIBLK on our side NUNSLAUGHTER can ram the black horn of Satan down the throats of every metalhead on the planet, spitting fresh venom and blistering hatred directly into the rotting face of Christianity with ‘Satanic Chaos Legions.'”
