Born from the creative vision of vocalist and composer Maggiebeth Sand, Serpentyne has evolved into a symphonic metal powerhouse. Blending orchestral grandeur with modern metal aggression, the band has captured the attention of fans worldwide drawing comparisons to Nightwish, Within Temptation and Eluveitie. Their latest album “Tales From The Dark” (out via Rockshots Records) showcases this bold new era, heavier and more dynamic than ever.

Today, Serpentyne present their brand-new single and official video “Dangerous Mind” Taken from “Tales From The Dark“, the track is a fast-paced onslaught of down-tuned 8-string riffs, driving rhythms and commanding dual vocals. As described by the band, the middle section bursts into “chugging goodness,” underscoring their commitment to blending ferocity with symphonic depth.

Lyrically, “Dangerous Mind” embodies defiance and individuality portraying someone who lives for danger and speed, unafraid to fight back and unwilling to conform. With its anthemic chorus proclaiming “I have a dangerous mind”, the song becomes both a battle cry and a declaration of strength.

Rockshots Records and Finnish progressive metallers Canvas of Silence release “Humanimal”, the third single from the upcoming debut album “As The World Tree Fell“, out next October 31, 2025. The track arrives alongside its official lyric video, offering a sharp, visual dive into the song’s message and hooks.

A fan favorite from early demos, “Humanimal” returns in its definitive album version – energetic, catchy and direct – distilling the band’s hallmark blend of weighty riffs, intricate rhythmic undercurrents, symphonic color and expressive female vocals anchored by a larger-than-life chorus. Lyrically, the song reflects on the beast within and the choice to tame it through empathy – we’re part of nature, yet only we can choose to care for one another and the world we share.

ABOUT:

Canvas of Silence is a catchy prog-influenced female vocal-driven metal band from Finland. Starting as a solo project by Tatu Hanhikoski (guitars, programming, songwriting), Canvas of Silence has since formed into a full band including Aino Vuorenmaa (vocals), Jaakko Puusaari (guitars, vocals), Mikael Minkkinen (bass) and Iiro Vuori (drums). The music of Canvas of Silence paints its pictures on silence with complementary colours. It’s heavy but melodic, occasionally complex yet at the same time somewhat simple and catchy, glued together with female vocals and symphonic elements. “Romeo And Juliet Pt.1” has been released by Elevate Records, the fifth album by STARBYNARY. The progressive power metal group is undertaking an ambitious multi-part work, inspired by Shakespeare’s drama.

Five years after the release of “Paradiso” (2020) – the concluding chapter of the trilogy dedicated to Dante’s Divine Comedy – Starbynary returns with an ambitious new project. “Romeo and Juliet, Pt. I” is the first volume of a concept album inspired by the immortal work of William Shakespeare.

Led by founders Joe Caggianelli (vocals) and Luigi Accardo (keyboards), Starbynary continues their exploration at the crossroads of literature and music, shifting focus from the Dantean epic to the Shakespearean tragedy. The new work moves on progressive ground rich with intricate structures, complex harmonies, and a refined dialogue between modernity and tradition, with influences ranging from Baroque lyricism to 17th-century Italian music.

Alongside the confirmed members Alfonso Mocerino (drums) and Sebastiano Zanotto (bass), the lineup is highlighted by the arrival of guitarist Alessandro Cossu (already a member of Ashent), whose contribution promises to enrich the band’s sound. Enhancing the work is the special participation of Baroque soprano Anna Piroli, who interprets the character of Juliet.

After a one-of-a-kind world-exclusive live premiere of the title track at Wacken, the album is now available, showcasing MSG‘s signature blend of powerful guitar work, compelling melodies, and dynamic vocals.

Cinematic, folk-metal trailblazers Equilibrium are thrilled to announce that their new studio album, Equinox, will be released on November 28th via Nuclear Blast Records. Today they’ve also released firey new single ‘I’ll Be Thunder‘ accompanied by a raw, earthy performance video.

“‘I’ll Be Thunder’ is a very impulsive song that shows the experimental and uncompromising side of Equilibrium. Therefore we tried to emphasise this with a unique, archaic performance video. The whole visual concept, set design and costumes have been hand crafted by Jessica Rösch again. I love this song, because while the notes of it came intuitively to my mind, the lyrics are about self-empowerment, breaking free from limitations, and embracing one’s true strength and authenticity.
It is also the perfect moment to announce our upcoming album “Equinox”, which is all about authenticity, reconnection with and rediscovering our own art. Emerging noise project Disintegration Annex is now making its debut with ‘Carving Arrows From Idols,’ a three-song EP that blends harsh noise with ambience and elements of black metal. The offering can now be heard via Decibel Magazine at THIS LOCATION.

Disintegration Annex is the one-man, metal-leaning noise and ambient project of Greg Kennelty. Disintegration Annex is meant to touch on the overarching ideas presented by extreme metal, but ultimately dish out the aural punishment in a freer, looser way.

Kennelty explains, “‘Carving Arrows From Idols’ is a three-track EP that deals with separate facets of anxiety and fear – weaponization of religious beliefs, sensory overload during particularly bad mental health days, and the fear of death being a disruptive force in everyday life. Carving Arrows From Idols was created during the writing sessions for the upcoming debut Disintegration Annex full-length, but these tracks ultimately felt like one cohesive unit that would be better served as a standalone release.
