An album over a decade in the making, The Moth finally arrives on the 29th May 2026. This 24-track record began as a vague vision more than a decade ago. It existed in the back of Devin Townsend’s mind as his “life’s work”. Then, about six years ago, after an acoustic show in Amsterdam, Townsend was approached by the head of the North Netherlands’ Orchestra and Choir with an offer: bring orchestral grandeur to Devin’s extensive discography. That was the moment The Moth stopped being an idea and began to become a reality.
Devin is also pleased to reveal the first introduction to the world of The Moth, in the shape of the track ‘Enter The City’. The song is accompanied by a video created by Studio Sparks, which you can watch now here.
The Moth constitutes 3 distinct parts across its release. In addition to the main album, The Moth – The Afterlife highlights the grandeur of the orchestra & choir, in what might be considered a more pure version of The Moth experience. The Moth – The War is a recording of the live musical debut that took place in March 2025 in The Netherlands, showcasing the raw emotion of performing The Moth for the very first time.
Hard rock veterans SPREAD EAGLE are thrilled to announce the release of their upcoming new album “The Brutal Divine”, out on June 12, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.
To coincide with the announcement, the band share the first single and accompanying video, “Street Noise”, available below.
Spread Eagle are set to embark on “The Brutal Divine Tour 2026” later this month, with dates across the US, and in UK and Europe throughout the summer. For the full list of dates, please see below and HERE.
The band stated: “Street Noise” is an obvious choice to kick off “The Brutal Divine”. It sets the aggressive tone of the album and hints at what’s to come. On this song, Ray West does a great job channeling the energy of our day to day dealings in NYC”.
“The Brutal Divine” is Spread Eagle’s long-awaited fourth studio album and a fierce new chapter in the band’s uncompromising legacy. Known for their raw energy, streetwise attitude, and explosive live performances, they once again prove why they remain a vital force in modern hard rock.
The band described the new record as “an emotionally and musically heavy body of songs showcasing a unique command of power, dynamics and melody. We have harnessed the energy of years of non-stop touring and turned it into a metal/punk thrill ride of an album”.
“Lyrically, “The Brutal Divine” challenges us to question our views and ask if we’re truly as free thinking as we may believe. Once that question is posed, the album progresses towards uplifting messages of hope and community”, they continued.
Fronted by the unmistakable voice of Ray West, the band delivers a powerful collection of songs that balance grit and melody, aggression and soul. Guitarist Gianmaria “Jommy” Puledda injects the record with razor-sharp riffs and soaring harmonies, while Rob De Luca (bass, vocals) and Rik De Luca (drums) form a thunderous rhythmic backbone that drives every track with authority and groove.
Produced by Rob De Luca, “The Brutal Divine” captures the band at their most focused and dynamic – blending their classic hard rock roots with a darker, heavier edge. The album channels the intensity and authenticity that first put Spread Eagle on the map, while showcasing a band that continues to evolve without losing its identity.
With a full slate of live dates planned in support of the release, Spread Eagle are ready to bring “The Brutal Divine” to stages around the world – where their music truly comes alive. This is hard rock delivered with conviction, attitude, and fire.

With “Cairn”, PARALLEL MINDS deliver their most ambitious and mature work to date. This modern, dense, and finely crafted album combines power, emotion, and technical mastery to explore a universal theme: the human condition in the face of collective suffering.
Musically, the album shines with its versatility: from sharp, aggressive prog metal in “Sufero,” reminiscent of Symphony X, to uncompromising Testament-like thrash fury in “Fear Is The Pandemic,” to the epic grandeur of Blind Guardian-esque anthems like ‘Sekigahara’ and “Troubles.”
Each song by the French band opens a window to a country, a culture. Thus, “Cairn” brings together a whole range of artists from all over the world: the tribal and spiritual intensity of Arka’n Asrafokor and Silveira LakoéléAtalawoè (Togo) alongside leading names from the French scene such as Asylum Pyre, Muhurta, and Stone Horns create a sound of rare richness and depth.
The first single ”Sufero” was released on January 11, along with a music video.

The band itself says about the new album: “‘Cairn’ was conceived as a true acoustic and visual journey and features first-class audio production and a carefully crafted visual identity. The first music video has already been released, with more to follow, expanding this immersive experience in which each song becomes a fragment of a larger story, a stone added to the monument. At the heart of this album is the symbol of the cairn – those piles of stones left behind by travelers on their journey, a metaphor for building oneself up stone by stone and leaving a trail for those who come after. ‘Cairn’ is much more than an album. It is a comprehensive sensory experience. A celebration of human resilience. And a call to build our own cairns – so that we never lose our way.”

In staying true to metal’s origins, Borknagar have always let their spirit guide them. Starting with the band’s self-titled beginnings back in 1996, these Norwegians pushed past the boundaries set by traditional black metal. Over the course of the past 30 years, the band’s domain has come to include prog, neofolk and darkly enchanting hard rock, capped by major international tours and chart placements across the world.
Today, Season of Mist is proud to announce a reissue of Borknagar’s album True North. More than two decades into their storied career, the band reached another creative peak on their eleventh full-length, which includes the hit singles “Up North”, “Voices” and “The Fire That Burns”.
True North will be reissued by Season of Mist on May 15, 2026.
Available formats –2×12″ Vinyl Gatefold (Black) –2×12” Vinyl Gatefold (Crystal clear, black and white marbled)
True North found Borknagar at a crossroad. Half of the band’s lineup had turned over, but their longstanding members kept them on a dizzying upward trajectory. Whether picking or riffing, founder and guitarist Øystein Brun led the way, lighting a path for the versatile ICS Vortex (Arcturus, ex-Dimmu Borgir) to return to the mic. His thunderous cleans shine amidst the warm misty keys of hit single “Up North”, while his screams cut through the more hellish passages of “The Fire That Burns”. Even when hounded by “Voices”, keyboardist Lars Nedland’s resounding chorus resonated far and wide. Loudwire named the album one of the best of 2019.
Swedish death metal outfit Sarcasm have announced their brand new full-length Lifeforce Omnibound, which will be released 29th May via Hammerheart Records.
In celebration, the band have released the first hard-hitting track ‘Altering The Perception’ which is now streaming via the Hammerheart Records YouTube channel.
Sarcasm comment on the track: “The first single from the new album is an explosive journey filled with complex riffs and melodies while remaining outmost extreme, combined with full speed and heaviness, and the dynamic atmosphere the band is known for.“
Sarcasm is one of those Swedish death metal acts that’s difficult to pin down. Labels like “Swedeath” and “melodic death metal” only tell part of the story, the band has deliberately avoided those safe categories. Instead, Sarcasm embraces a broad spectrum of metal while remaining uncompromisingly extreme.
The current quartet behind Lifeforce Omnibound bears little resemblance to the band’s early ’90s incarnation, which released several demos through 1994, recorded a debut full-length, and then split up until 2015, when that first album finally saw the light of day. Now on their sixth album, Sarcasm pushes the boundaries yet again. The combination of intense speed, complex riffing, and genuine catchiness cements them among the genre’s top tier.
The eight tracks on Lifeforce Omnibound capture Sarcasm at their highest level, both musically and in terms of production. While the effectively straightforward four-minute opener “Essence of Existence” hits hard and fast, much of the record leans into greater complexity. With an average runtime of over five minutes per song, the material allows room for structural twists and detailed touches that sustain interest throughout repeated listens. The album was once again mixed and mastered by renowned producer Lawrence Mackrory.
Sarcasm is currently a four-piece, and due to time constraints, Anders will no longer participate as a recording member, though he will remain with the band as a live member going forward. Since the band’s resurrection, only one member from the earlier era has remained: vocalist Heval Bozarslan. Exploring otherworldly themes once more, Heval does not seek credit for the lyrics; according to him, the words were channeled from a higher force, delivering answers across eight distinct topics. Ethereal and metaphysical themes have long been part of Sarcasm’s identity, but this time the lyrics are less metaphorical and more direct. Over the album’s 40-minute journey, doorways open, revealing a remarkable range of atmosphere and depth that few bands can achieve.

CROWN THE BEAST go all out with unrelenting force on their new single and official video “Judgement” – a blistering statement of intent and the first glimpse into their upcoming EP of the same name.
“Judgement” is a hateful last look upon mankind before the end of the world”, the band comments. “Mankind must pay for their sins as the angels of death begin the extermination of humanity. A fast and aggressive track that shows exactly what Crown The Beast do best: groove-laden and hard hitting death metal!”
With this track, the Danish band sharpen their apocalyptic vision and further refine their groove-driven take on modern death metal, infused with old-school intensity. Self-recorded and brought to life through a crushing mix and master handled by Horde Echo Sound Production, “Judgement” delivers an aggressive, end-of-days soundscape that pulls listeners deep into the band’s dark universe.
Join the premiering here:
The forthcoming “Judgement” EP will expand on this destructive energy, showcasing a heavier, more immersive chapter in Crown The Beast’s evolution. The end is coming. And Crown The Beast is the soundtrack.
