UNMAKER Release Sophomore Album “Status Zero”, Out Now

With equal parts fury and finesse, Irish thrash-death outfit UNMAKER proudly announce the release of their second studio assault, ‘Status Zero’ out now, 1st October. Following the critical buzz around their debut Limb from Limb, the band return more focused, more brutal, and more unrelenting than ever.

ABOUT “STATUS ZERO”
From its opening salvo to the final fading chord, Status Zero refuses to let you breathe. It’s a record built on undeniable momentum, unleashing riffs stacked upon riffs, galloping drums, soaring solos and punishing vocals without mercy. Around the midway point lies a brief instrumental interlude (“Ghosts of Home”), a momentary calm before the maelstrom resumes and drives right through to the closing moment.

This is Unmaker’s manifesto. It’s the product of years of songwriting, blood, sweat and sonic obsession. The themes across the record are bold and uncompromising: war, genocide, narcissism, betrayal, mental fragility, and even a nod to Tolkien lore with “Katmunda”. For the first time, the band also venture into a ballad, the album’s closer, a deliberate and powerful contrast to the relentless aggression preceding it.

Adding fresh blood to the line-up, new bassist Paul Cassidy joined the band’s ranks during the album’s production. His seasoned instincts and studio wisdom were instrumental in shaping the final touches, helping to elevate ‘Status Zero‘ to the band’s proudest work to date.

Track Listing:
The Killing Fields
Head of the Snake
Status Zero
End of Play
Kill the World
Ghosts of Home (interlude)
Napalm
Blood Oath
Katmunda
God Defect
Deus Mortuus
The Last Wish

You can watch title track ‘Status Zero‘ here:

THE UNMAKER SOUND
Unmaker’s music strives to strike the ideal balance between classic thrash metal and modern death metal — delivering neck-braking riffs, soaring guitar solos, gut-punching drums and hefty vocals. But they never forget hooks or groove, the kind of riffs that stay lodged in your skull long after the record ends.
Live, Unmaker are a force of nature. Expect full crowd participation, mosh-pits, walls of death, and a vibe of “safe, healthy violence” where the energy is wild but the respect is real. Their very goal is simple: to leave audiences with sore necks and aching bodies, and a grin smeared with exhilaration.

WHAT TO EXPECT & WHY IT MATTERS

  • ‘Status Zero‘ proves that Unmaker are not a one-album flash in the pan, they’re a band here to stay.
  • The album delivers relentless energy, but also dynamics, musicianship, and conceptual depth.
  • The new lineup shines, especially with fresh contributions from Paul on bass, pushing the band’s sound into sharper territory.
  • For fans of classic thrash, technical death, groove metal, this record is unapologetic, unrelenting, and uncompromising.

The moment has come. The war begins. ‘Status Zero’ is ready to annihilate your speakers and leave an impression that demands repeat listens.

‘Status Zero’ is out now through all major digital platforms, streaming services, and via Unmaker’s Bandcamp / direct-to-fan channels. Stay tuned for upcoming video singles, press streams, interview opportunities, and tour announcements in support of Status Zero.

German „dark power metal“ force ORDEN OGAN have dropped a thunderous new live version of their fan-favorite track “Conquest”, taken from their latest full-length “The Order Of Fear”, released in July 2024 via Reigning Phoenix Music here.

Recorded during the band’s “Tour of Fear” in the sold-out Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, Germany, this version captures the raw intensity and electric communion between the band and their audience. “Conquest” has quickly risen to become a staple in the ORDEN OGAN setlist, and this live cut shows exactly why: riffs sharp as steel, massive choruses, and a crowd roaring as one. ORDEN OGAN once again prove that true power metal lives on stage—loud, larger than life, and unforgettable!

Frontman Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann states:
“Conquest has become one of the absolute fan favorites within the last 12 months since the release of ‘The Order of Fear’. This recording was captured in the sold-out Turbinenhalle (Oberhausen, Germany) on ORDEN OGAN’s ‘Tour of Fear’. I think we managed to capture the energy between band and audience. Enjoy!”

About ORDEN OGAN:
ORDEN OGAN are an essential part of the international metal scene with their top status leading back to their debut album “Vale” [2008]. Their 2021-album, “Final Days”, even reached position 3 of the official German Album Charts, and having up to more than half a million monthly listeners on Spotify makes them one of the most successful metal acts when it comes to streaming. Epic melodies, impactful lyrics and unmistakeable passion for the genre define the band’s work, and their latest studio offering “The Order Of Fear” only continued their musical journey by promising fans a monumental experience.

Led by Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann, the seventh album is arguably their hardest-hitting work to date. “The Order Of Fear” persists the ORDEN OGAN saga with a triumphant lesson in dark power metal: the album features eleven powerful tracks (including a spoken interlude) that offer a fresh perspective on the band’s ever-evolving sound, resulting in an explosion of thought-provoking melodies and rhythms. “The Order Of Fear” once again hit the German Album Charts at #3, followed by spectacular festival performances and their very well received „Tour of Fear“.

“The Order Of Fear” was released on July 5, 2024 through RPM as an exclusive box-set (including a CD-digipak and a unique board game for up to 32 players to make fans act as various characters of the ORDEN OGAN world), coloured 1LP vinyl (splatter, crystal clear or clear turquoise), and CD-digipak. Visit: https://ordenogan.rpm.link/theorderoffearPR

INNERWISH Release New Single + Lyric Video ‘Defend Our Children’s Hope’

INNERWISH’s ‘Defend Our Children’s Hope’ is a powerful tribute to the next generation, urging us all to take responsibility for their future and defend their right to hope and opportunity. With their signature blend of driving riffs, soaring melodies, and anthemic choruses, INNERWISH deliver both a poignant message and a timeless heavy metal hymn.

The single is accompanied by a stirring lyric video that underscores its urgency. With lines like “We fall and then we rise / It’s the battle for a new dawn / We conquer not divide / Protect, defend our children’s hope,” the song speaks directly to today’s world of division and uncertainty. At its core, it’s a call for unity, resilience, and compassion, a reminder that safeguarding a better future is a responsibility we all share.

WATCH / STREAM /DOWNLOAD

Reflecting on the song’s origins, INNERWISH share:

“To be or not to be in the album? That is the question! For sure a question we asked ourselves a lot because having 15 songs makes you keep some of them out of the album. And it’s not a matter of being a lesser song, especially in this case, but it’s just the way it is sometimes. No matter what, this song has all the classical INNERWISH elements, the ones that lasted all these years. Groove, melodies and hook-y chorus. We talked about children on “Sea of lies” and we do it here as well. Different writer, different perspective and impression. Again, for the children. They are the hope of mankind, they are our hope, they deserve way more. After all, this world isn’t their fault but ours.”

In times where global crises weigh heavily on young generations, ‘Defend Our Children’s Hope’ stands as both a warning and a rallying cry: we must not allow today’s failures to become tomorrow’s inheritance.

Ukrainian 1914 Release New Single + Lyric Video ‘1914 (The Siege of Przemyśl)’

As the release of their fourth album, Viribus Unitis (out November 14, 2025, via Napalm Records), approaches, the unrelenting 1914 unleash their second single. With “1914 (The Siege of Przemyśl)”, the Ukrainian death metal battalion unveils further horrors of war. Thundering doom riffs and ghostly historical recordings relentlessly descend into the longest siege of World War I, where the Austro-Hungarian army experienced a crushing defeat. Once again, history bleeds through every note – grim, grand, and devastating!

Viribus Unitis deepens 1914’s commitment to historical authenticity, both lyrically and conceptually. Told through the personal accounts of a Ukrainian soldier in the K.u.K. army, the album follows  real events, tracing a timeline from 1914 to 1919, and paints a grim journey through the war’s rise, climax, and hollow aftermath.

k.u.k. Galizisches IR Nr.15, Gefreiter, Ditmar Kumarberg about “1914 (The Siege of Przemyśl)”:
“Trapped behind fortress walls: In the icy grip of World War I, 130,000 Austro-Hungarian soldiers found themselves surrounded, starving, and desperate inside the mighty fortress of Przemyśl. From September 1914 to March 1915, the Russian army laid siege, pounding the city with artillery and choking off supplies. Months passed. Food ran out. Horses, dogs, even rats, became rations. Disease spread. Morale crumbled. And then… surrender. One of the greatest capitulations of the war. The once-proud fortress fell, handing Russia a symbolic victory on the Eastern Front. But victory was fleeting! A short-term win for Russia, but the tides turned again when the Central Powers retook the city later that year. War shows no mercy.”

With Viribus Unitis, Latin for “With United Forces”, 1914 once again attest their unflinching brutality. More than just the personal motto of Franz Joseph I, the former emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, this title directly speaks to the band’s resilience through war, loss, and upheaval – a powerful symbol of survival and solidarity. Out on November 14, 2025 via Napalm Records, Viribus Unitis builds on the band’s acclaimed conceptual approach, reaching new emotional depths and musical intensity.

Continuing their chronicle of World War I, 1914 shifts their focus from the raw portrayal of death and destruction, to exploring themes of camaraderie, endurance, and the emotional landscapes of those who endured the horrors of trench warfare. While previous releases like The Blind Leading the Blind (2018) and Where Fear and Weapons Meet (2021) centered on the futility and finality of war, Viribus Unitis exemplifies the interpersonal bonds forged under fire and the strength of those warriors who made it home: broken, changed, yet still alive.

Musically, 1914 remain true to their identity – a brutal mixture of blackened death metal, slow-burning doom, and ambient war soundscapes. This time, however, their sound gains a broader dynamic range, with soaring melodic leads, orchestral textures, and haunting clean vocals that provide dramatic contrast to the crushing heaviness.

1914 about Viribus Unitis:
“Viribus Unitis is about shared strength and the idea that true power lies in unity. Alone, one may fall – together, we can prevail and achieve our goals: Defeat the enemy, escape captivity, survive, and return to your family. We return with a new story. A story of life and military valor of a soldier who encountered the Great War in his native city of Lviv and went through it all. Side by side, with joint efforts of Ukrainians, Poles, Hungarians, Slovenes, Czechs, Slovaks, Jews, Croats, Bosniaks, Germans – all the peoples who made up the vast Austro-Hungarian Empire. Empires did not count people – they threw them into meat grinders where survival was only possible through unity. By helping one another. By sacrificing yourself for the sake of your loved ones and comrades.

This is a story of being blinded by war and the grandeur of the empire, of the heat of battle, realization and acceptance of reality, awakening, changing values, captivity, and liberation. It is a story of unbreakable will to live and hope amidst a terrifying and bloody war. It is a story of a new little life that changes all the rules and forces one to see the familiar from a different perspective. It is a story of love. It is a story of loss and death. Viribus Unitis is when pain, death, loss, loneliness, and fear encircle you. But you’re still unbroken!”

Order Your Copy of Viribus Unitis NOW

One of the album’s highlights is a collaboration with Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride and High Parasite on “1918 Pt. 3: ADE (A Duty to Escape),” whose mournful voice adds a solemn, almost liturgical quality to this elegy of grief and brotherhood on the front lines. Viribus Unitis deepens 1914’s commitment to historical authenticity, both lyrically and conceptually. Told through real events and personal accounts of a Ukrainian soldier in the K.u.K. Army, the album traces a timeline from 1914 to 1919, painting a grim journey through the war’s rise, climax, and hollow aftermath. From the brooding opener “War In” to the bleak closer “War Out (The End?)”, each track captures a moment in time: the brutal “1914 (The Siege of Przemyśl)”, the frostbitten “1915 (Zwinin Ridge)”, the crushing Alpine combat of “1916 (Südtirol Offensive)”, and the madness of “1918 Pt. 2: POW (Prisoner of War)” featuring Christopher Scott of Precious Death. The album ends with “1919 (The Home Where I Died),” featuring Rome’s Jerome Reuter, a haunting portrait of a soldier who survived the war, but not its shadow. This emotional song deals with the soldier’s will to live and his family values, seeing him escape from captivity to finally return home to embrace his wife and daughter. 1914 fuse blackened death metal, doom, and atmospheric textures with dramatic flourishes and guest vocals, creating their most dynamic and emotionally resonant record to date.

Viribus Unitis tracklisting:

  1. War In (The Beginning of the Fall)
  2. 1914 (The Siege of Przemyśl)
  3. 1915 (Easter Battle for the Zwinin Ridge)
