Finnish heavy metal trio WILLFIRE has released a new lyric video for “Inside Job”, taken from their DIY album Homebrewed Recordings, out via Wormholedeath.
A slow-burning gut punch wrapped in crushing riffs and lyrical fallout, Inside Job unearths the wreckage of trust, power, and betrayal. The track drips with gritty emotion, where every line feels like a scar and every riff hits like a reckoning.
Hailing from Finland, WILLFIRE channels the raw spirit of heavy metal with a sound that fuses 80s rock, modern metal, and blues. Formed in 1998, the trio—Niko Hellsten, Tero Virolainen, and Marko Kuparinen—returned in 2024 with Homebrewed Recordings, a fully DIY album now reissued via Wormholedeath.
Finnish modern melodic metal band Northern Genocide released a single ‘New World’ via Inverse Records. The track is taken from the as-yet-untitled third album.

From the ashes rises a new world, a new chapter. The new Northern Genocide track “New World” turns the knobs up to eleven and unleashes their renewed sound. The lyrics for New World were written by Northern Genocide’s new vocalist, Joni Parkkinen.
“New World is a story about how humanity’s greed has driven nature to turn against us. The song gives a voice to Gaia, tormented by a morbid misanthropy and a desire to cleanse humanity of the disease that threatens her. She offers you a chance to reach out your hand and step into a new world — one that lives by the laws of nature.” — Joni Parkkinen
“The song was created more collectively than ever before, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Let this be a storm warning of what’s to come from our upcoming full-length studio album”, says the band.
Northern Genocide has always been about finding new ways of combining musical elements without genre restrictions. It all started as an industrial metal project in 2010 aiming to combine exciting electronic elements with aggressive metal riffs. Today it could be described as modern metal or melodic death metal. NG has always embraced the freedom to create music exactly the way they want. Because of that, all of their releases have a distinct sound that has evolved over the years. The first releases ”Atlantis” and ”Planet Asylum” are known for their aggressive synth driven tracks but the latest two releases ”Genesis vol. 666” and ”The Point of No Return” already featured more melodic and orchestral elements. Strong and complex guitar riffs combined with aggressive growl vocals have always the core of their sound.
In 2025 NG is working on 3rd full length studio album with new vocalist Joni Parkkinen. The album will come out in 2026.
Line-up: Vocals: Joni Parkkinen Lead guitars: Pyry Pohjanpalo Rhythm guitars: Jussi Pulliainen Drums: Leo Korhonen Bass: Arto Viitanen Synths: Rainer Pekkinen

German crossover thrashers THE PROPHECY 23 strike again with their new single and video “Fresh Metal Fights Fascism”— a short, fierce punch against hate, fueled by heavy riffs and full conviction.
A direct statement against fascism and racism, “Fresh Metal Fights Fascism”captures the band’s trademark “Fresh Metal” energy — a raw, unapologetic blend of thrash, death, and punk that hits as hard lyrically as it does musically. The track embodies rebellion and unity, calling out intolerance while celebrating individuality, freedom, and solidarity within the metal community.
“This song is a short, fierce punch against hate — clear anti-fascist and anti-racist messaging, backed by heavy riffs and full conviction,” says vocalist and guitarist Hannes Klopprogge.
Taken from their latest album “Mosh O’ Clock” (Massacre Records), which stormed into the German album charts at #44 and reached #12 on the official Rock/Metal charts, “Fresh Metal Fights Fascism” reinforces THE PROPHECY 23’s identity as one of the most fearless and outspoken voices in modern thrash.
Recorded, co-produced, mixed, and mastered by Kai Stahlenberg at Kohlekeller Studios (Powerwolf, Electric Callboy, Kanonenfieber), the track delivers the same massive, raw energy that defines the band’s latest full-length.
With “Fresh Metal Fights Fascism”, THE PROPHECY 23 prove once more that metal is not just entertainment — it’s a weapon against ignorance, a celebration of life, and a call to stand tall together.

OPHIDIAN MEMORY is an American death metal project leaded by Blake Lamoureux. He already has in his account four records: “Ophidian Memory” (EP, 2021) and albums “The Stag” (2022), “Our Shattered Garden” (2023), “Carrion Lord” (2024).
Sonically, Ophidian Memory uses a base of melodic death metal to add and blend multiple sub genres together including black metal, thrash, progressive metal, and metalcore. Each album tells of tales based in a fictional universe where beings of light and dark are entwined in constant conflict as they plot to destroy humanity, eachother, and existence.
Right now, an Artist is preparing for releasing new studio album titled “Seraphim“.
“Seraphim” is a journey into fire that yields beauty through destruction, expanding Ophidian Memory in every aspect of its sound. While maintaining much of the intensity from “Carrion Lord“, “Seraphim” is a narrative sequel to “Our Shattered Garden“. This situation laid the ground for the blending of different musical and narrative themes from each prior record to create a statement; that the boundaries of melodic death metal are as permeable as you make them.
It’s not only a narrative sequel to “Our Shattered Garden“, but also a climax in the sense of the overarching narrative of existence, “Seraphim” brings many new factions into focus, as a war between Seraphs, humans, and Primordials rages across the continent of The Meadow. From the Luminary and Kerberos, to the Demigod Primordials and the Seraphs, each group has those who pick a side, and each side pays their price in blood. This is the prophesized end of the world, but Xathanas has already chosen to invert prophecy. They will build a coalition by crossing the line and betraying their kin in order to help humanity in it’s entirety. Together, Demigod and Seraph will birth the Nephilim to supplant The Tyrant Aekyr. It is by Xathanas’ courage, that others are inspired to fight until their very last breath, as that breath could be at any moment. The battle is light against dark, a duality inside each individual. While the light blinds, a sliver of hope is seen in the darkness…
Music was recorded and mixed by Blake Lamoureux. Mastering was done by Rick Stallkamp. Cover artwork was done by Jon Weber. Jacob Dieffenbach (ex-Rivers of Nihil) guest sang in the song “Cenotaph“. Officially, album will out on November 7, 2025.
