The one and only Roman extreme metal legionaries DEOS are back. On December 5, 2025, the band will release their long-awaited fourth album, Augustus Omnipotens, through Wormholedeath Records.
Augustus Omnipotens is a conceptual journey through the rise of Octavian, later Augustus, the first Emperor of Rome. Each track captures a key moment in his path: from avenging Julius Caesarâs death, through political alliances and brutal battles, to the final triumph of peace under the Pax Romana. The lyrics weave together history, mythology, and personal legacy, portraying Augustus not only as a ruler but as a symbol of transformation, from civil war and betrayal to order and empire. Itâs an album about power, fate, and the price of immortality.
Driven by a visceral blend of blackened death metal, the music amplifies the narrativeâs intensity: ferocious riffs embody the chaos of war, thunderous drums echo the march of legions, and sinister growls summon the weight of fate and bloodshed. In Augustus Omnipotens, music and lyrics merge into a monumental opus, where history is not only told but felt.

About DEOS:
Formed in 2014 by Fabio Battistella, Jack Graved, and LoĂŻc Depauwe, DEOS have built a reputation for combining the ferocity of extreme metal with a passion for Ancient Rome that extends through their lyrics, artwork, and stagecraft. Their debut Ghosts of the Empire arrived in 2015, followed by In Nomine Romae in 2017 and extensive touring across France, Switzerland, and beyond. In 2021 they began work on their third record Furor Belli, mastered by J.-F. Dagenais (Kataklysm, Ex Deo) and released in 2022 via Wormholedeath, which led to the North Imperial Tour MMXXII. Over the past years they have continued to spread their vision of Roman metal across Europe, including Londonâs legendary Cart & Horses.
Now, with Augustus Omnipotens, DEOS take their concept further than ever before. Recorded between autumn 2024 and spring 2025 and once again mastered by Dagenais, the album is both a celebration of Romeâs past and a declaration of the bandâs future.
Finnish rockers Temple Balls are pleased to announce their return with the new single and accompanying video, âThere Will Be Bloodâ, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.Â
The band stated: âWeâre super excited about how this track turned out. Lyric wise, we wanted to give listeners a post-apocalyptic vibe. The song itself is inspired by the movies like Mad Max. The single comes with a badass virtual video created by Kimmo Lesonen from BGMT. The video fits like a glove to the energy of the track. We hope that our fans enjoy it as much as we do! Letâs go!!â
Temple Balls is a high-energy hard rock band from Finland. Over the past several years, the band has stayed busy both in the studio and on stage.
Having opened for legendary acts such as Sonata Arctica, Queen, Deep Purple, and Uriah Heep, Temple Balls has proven it can command stages of any size, from large festival arenas to small club venues. With their electrifying live shows, the band energizes the audience and always leaves fans convinced of their raw talent and unstoppable energy.
The bandâs first official single, âHell And Feelinâ Fineâ, was released in September 2016 and quickly received substantial airplay on Finnish Radio Rock. Their debut album, âTraded Dreamsâ, was recorded at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand in May 2016 and released on February 24, 2017. Produced by Tobias Lindell, known for his work with Europe, Mustasch, and H.E.A.T., the album laid the foundation for the bandâs rise in the melodic rock scene.
The fall of 2017 began with a sold-out tour across Finland alongside Battle Beast. That year also marked the band’s debut in Japan, followed by an intense five-day tour of Ukraine. After their Japanese shows, readers of the countryâs leading rock magazine, Burrn!, voted Temple Balls as âthe second brightest hopeâ. At the same time, they were also honored as the Newcomer of the Year on Masa Itoâs Rock TV, marking a significant breakthrough on the international stage.
The bandâs second album, âUntamedâ, was released on March 8, 2019, and was quickly praised by leading music outlets like Soundi and Burrn! magazines. After its release, the band traveled across Europe as special guests of Sonata Arctica, further solidifying their reputation as a powerful live act.
âPyromideâ, the bandâs debut on Frontiers and their third album overall, was a true showcase of melodic hard rock, launching them onto the international stage. Produced by the well-known Jona Tee, the album is filled with catchy hooks, pounding rhythms, and anthemic rock ânâ roll delivered just as it was meant to be. In May 2022, the band kicked off a three-week European tour with Swedish melodic metal giants H.E.A.T., then continued to energize audiences across Finland throughout the summer festival season.
The band released their fourth studio album, âAvalancheâ, in November 2023. Praised by both fans and media, the album not only made it onto the Finnish charts but also solidified the bandâs reputation as one of the most exciting acts today. Following the release, the band excited audiences with a series of shows across Finland and internationally during the summer festival season, culminating in a successful UK tour in November 2024.
In 2025, the group primarily focused on recording a highly anticipated new album while continuing to engage audiences at select performances, both domestically and internationally, including a festival appearance in Switzerland.

ATTEMPT TO SOMEBODYâS LIFE present the official video for âBlack Chicken/White Donkeysâ, a track with a strong conceptual and emotional impact, deeply rooted in critical thought and social protest.
The lyrics are inspired by a famous quote from Marxâs Capital: âLabour in the white skin cannot emancipate itself where labour in the black skin is branded.â A phrase that becomes the manifesto of the entire song, symbolizing a capitalism that continues to generate exploitation and inequality.
âBlack Chicken/White Donkeysâ tells the story of the clash between âthe new outcastsâ â immigrants, especially Africans â and the ânativeâ white-collar workers, deceived into believing they belong to a privileged class, when in reality they live inside a golden cage. Themes such as demographic decline, the infertility of Western societies, and the need for new enslaved labor emerge in the lyrics with rawness and clarity: âthey continually need new slavers but alienated hens no longer lay eggs.â
The video, directed by the talented Simone Serafini, stages the metaphor of the spider as a visual representation of capital oppressing the working masses, until their rebellion and ultimate victory.
With this single, ATTEMPT TO SOMEBODYâS LIFE officially join the prestigious roster of Wanikiya Record/Promotion, a leading label and press office in the national and international heavy music scene.
The new album â Cyrene:
Out on May 19th, 2025, Cyrene is more than just an album: it is an indictment, a punch to the heart, a sonic journey into the darkest contradictions of our time.
After their acclaimed debut âBridges/Latenciesâ (2024) â praised for blending the ethereal intensity of Deftones with the urgency of Rage Against The Machine â the band returns with an even more ambitious and necessary work.
The title draws inspiration from Cyrenaica, the Libyan region that stands as a symbol of concentration camps, systemic exploitation, and Western hypocrisy. The sound is direct, fierce, and authentic:
Drums and bass recorded naturally to convey urgency and truth
Guitars raw and compact, like walls of sound
Synths opening glimpses of denied freedom
Vocals oscillating between melancholic melodies and raging screams, striking the perfect balance between emotion and protest
Recorded and mixed by Emanuele Braca at GRS Studios in Florence, mastered by Tommy Bianchi, with artwork designed by visionary artist Januz Miralles, Cyrene is set to be one of the most powerful and conscious releases in the contemporary alternative metal scene.
Centinex, the Swedish death metal legends, have returned with their most ferocious and uncompromising offering yet. New Release With Guts And Glory (out November 7th) is a raw, high-energy album that ditches the excess and focuses on what matters: unrelenting riffs, d-beats, and thrash-infused aggression.
Stripping away atmospheric frills and polished production, Centinex returns to their roots with a sound that combines the ferocity of early death metal with the urgency of punk. Whether itâs the punishing gallop of the riffs or the blazing d-beat drum patterns, this album is an all-out sonic assault, as fast as it is brutal, with no time to spare.
Centinex continues to deliver what only they can: fast, brutal death metal with punk energy that hits like a freight train. If you loved the aggression of old-school death and thrash, this is for you.â The band pushes themselves to the edge, delivering 8 tracks of relentless, stripped-back death metal that kicks you in the teeth from the first note to the last. Itâs not pretty â itâs not supposed to be.

In support of their critically-acclaimed, new studio offering, Portals, Icelandic retro-fueled prog rock torchbearers THE VINTAGE CARAVAN have released a visualizer video clip for their latest singleâAloneâ. Portals will drop this Friday, September 26th on Napalm Records, and sees the trio deliver another testament to their endlessly creative, modern take on the psychedelic retro rock sound, cementing THE VINTAGE CARAVANâs leading position in the scene!
Melancholy meets muscle â âAloneâ is a brooding, riff-driven anthem, blending soulful vocals with powerful 70s-infused rock energy, that feels both raw and timeless.
Guitarist and singer Ăskar Logi Ăgustsson reveals: “Alone dates back to 2021 and it came together pretty quickly. I made a demo where I ad libbed a vocal melody and lyrics, a lot of which ended on the final version. The song was written during a strange time in my life, it deals with topics of being lonely in the company of people, spiralling down dark roads, dealing with my own faults and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. After recording the demo I pretty much forgot about it until we were working on new material in 2024 and pretty late in that process I dug it up and it just immediately worked.â
He adds: “My favourite part of the song is the breakdown after the chorus which is the loneliest sounding thing weâve made, the conversation between the guitar solo and bass lines which erupt in a fiery solo and final chorus which features such a great improvised moment between us three, which just happened unexpectedly in the moment that evening in Porto.
The track features our good friend TĂłmas JĂłnsson on Hammond organ. We hope you enjoy the journey!”
THE VINTAGE CARAVANâs previous studio album, Monuments, hit #21 on the German charts, marking a milestone in their evolution. Now, the new offering continues to solidify THE VINTAGE CARAVANâs reputation as one of the leading bands of contemporary classic rock. Aside from their critically acclaimed releases, the bandâs electrifying live performances have mesmerized audiences at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest, as well as on international tours both as headliners and as support for the likes of progressive metal giants Opeth. THE VINTAGE CARAVAN will be celebrating the release of Portals with extensive headline tours in mainland Europe and the UK, kicking off this Thursday, September 25th in Brussels, Belgium. For the first single from the companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux” to be released parallel to the forthcoming MER Redux Series installment “The Downward Spiral Redux”, Albuquerque stoner metal outfit BLUE HERON pay a fierce and sizzling tribute in the shape of the somewhat caged video clip for the track ‘Head Like a Hole‘.
Please find more details about “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux” below. Both tribute albums have been scheduled for release on November 28, 2025, via Magnetic Eye Records. Available for pre-order HERE
Parallel to the companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux“, Magnetic Eye Records will release “The Downward Spiral Redux” that contains 14 cover renditions of the original album tracks in sequence, recorded by some of the most compelling artists in hard and heavy music today.
The official music video for BLUE HERON‘s version of the NINE INCH NAILS classic ‘Head Like a Hole‘ is now available to watch here:
BLUE HERON comment: “It’s always been a dream to cover a Nine Inch Nails song, but the opportunity never presented itself being that I’ve never played in an Industrial band“, bass player “Big” Steve Schmidlapp writes. “I was beyond excited when we were asked to do a track for the Nine Inch Nails Redux and was shocked that ‘Head Like a Hole’ hadn’t already been taken. ‘Head Like a Hole’ was the gateway song for me and many others to find Nine Inch Nails and industrial music in the early 90s. I always felt like the synthesized bass line would be a badass heavy groovy guitar riff, which was the foundation of how we approached creating our rendition. We definitely put our own stamp on the song, I’m excited to hear what people think of it.”

BLUE HERONÂ coalesced in 2018 around a compulsion to fill the wide New Mexico skies with massive volume, and to saturate their piece of desert with thunderous riffs and gritty vocals that rip and roar. They emerged from Albuquerque with the 2021 EP “Black Blood of the Earth / A Sunken Place”, followed by two full-length albums, “Ephemeral” (2022) and “Everything Fades” (2024), the latter of which garnered international praise and marked the band as a rising force in the desert rock & stoner and doom metal scene. Their firsthand relationship with the desert is inextricable from who they are and how they sound, and the band will bring their sun-scorched riff-heaviness to Europe on tour this October in support of upcoming new release “Emulations” and their appearance on “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux”.

Enhance your Redux experience of Magnetic Eye Records and friends, who are respectfully paying homage to US-industrial rock legends NINE INCH NAILS and their 1994 milestone album “The Downward Spiral”, with the additional of even more spectacular deep cuts and classics offered on the companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux”.
At this moment, the world’s reliance on machines, algorithms, and artificial intelligence has never been greater. This makes now the perfect time to reflect on the emergence of a musical force whose blend of mechanized instrumentation and raw emotion was singular and revolutionary.
NINE INCH NAILS were formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988. They arrived around the same time as grunge when Generation X was developing an awareness of itself, but while there was cross-appeal, the sound they created was clearly and intentionally something very different.
The skepticism of that era came through in the music, with artists from RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE to NIRVANA pushing back against what were acceptable words and actions in our society, and everything from the ideals of what major musicians should do with their fame to what people and corporations stood for were fair targets.
NINE INCH NAILS were at least twice as cynical as everyone else and reflected the singular, driven musical expression of mastermind Trent Reznor. The music he made as NIN has always ranged from infectious, furious, delicate, and sexual to transgressive, uplifting, cautionary, and hopeless. While Reznor did not always make broad, blunt statements about politics, materialism or repression (though he definitely did at times), there was a consistently restless quality to his music. His frustration at the veneer of normalcy and acceptability that characterized modern popular music was palpable, and he seemed to search endlessly for seams to peel back and rip loose to expose what was underneath.
Of NINE INCH NAILS‘ seminal breakthrough album, Spin magazine respectfully had this to say in 2024: “As The Downward Spiral turns 30 this year, it still stands as an act of artistic transgression against the limits of popular music. Pushing the boundaries of creative censorship, it is still considered Nine Inch Nails’ most daring and uncompromising album.”
Join us in paying homage to one of rock’s most ambitious innovators and angriest Gen X voices railing against the status quo, as we present our latest Redux Series installment “The Downward Spiral Redux”, along with the traditional companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux”. The two double album collections together comprise 27 re-imagined renditions by some of today’s coolest and heaviest artists taking on NINE INCH NAILS classics and deep cuts.
The Magnetic Eye Redux Series features hand-picked classic albums from across the history of rock and metal re-imagined in their entirety from start to finish. Artists we love from within and outside the heavy rock landscape choose tracks to make their own, bringing these milestone records into the new millennium with crushing heaviness and searing energy. To date, we’ve produced Redux editions of PINK FLOYD’s “The Wall”, HELMET’s “Meantime”, BLACK SABBATH’s “Vol. 4”, JIMI HENDRIX’s “Electric Ladyland”, ALICE IN CHAINS’ “Dirt”, AC/DC’s “Back in Black”, SOUNDGARDEN’s “Superunknown”, JETHRO TULL’s “Aqualung”, and RAMONES’ self-titled debut, which have included artists like RED FANG, THE SWORD, MATT PIKE, PALLBEARER, THE MELVINS, ALL THEM WITCHES, KHEMMIS, ASG, SUPERSUCKERS, ZAKK WYLDE, MARK LANEGAN, VOIVOD, and many more amazing artists.
Join us for our tenth foray into Redux territory as we pay proper respect to the US industrial rock legend NINE INCH NAILS!
